Quick question do your VRAM figures add the shared VRAM/RAM usage? On task manager it shows dedicated and shared usage. For some games AUTO shows as 400mb dedicated used but then multiple extra gigs on shared, this happens on 4gb as well it can show 3gb-4gb dedicated used and but in reality a bit more under shared is being used as well, so you have to add both together for accurate figures.

What settings do you use for ARK (and were you playing evolved or ascended)?

Nah, bro that thing is crying for help 😂 I play games like Elden ring, AC origins, Black myth Wukong etc at 30w and very high settings, no sound at all. Atleast go for the Ally X and you won’t have as much trouble with fans

they didnt add rsr to vega gpus so i used ris and combined it with reshades amd cas and it looked close to 1080p by just sharpening the game

When gaming docked on a 4k screen, this thing ROCKS - So great.

I'm still watching midway, but from what I observed, steam deck, even if it's so less powerful than the ally, seemed to be the sweetest spot for a portable device. Newer/heavier games seems struggling, but the battery life is just better than the ally generally. And it seems the deck is very optimal running at 10W (-+2W; meaning around the range of 8-12W), getting the most fps per watts. I decided to get a deck even though nowadays it can be considered quite underpowered, even though I'd love if it has Z1 or something. I heard a lot of worrying things from Asus products, and as both doesn't seem to be released officially in my country, I just get the deck, as I plan to add a microsd as well. I don't know when the deck 2 will be released, but I sure hope there'd be significant technological jump before they do. AMD, please create something much more power efficient yet with a similar performance to Strix Point please, 😂deck 2 with OLED + VRR + more powerful, efficient APU, with the same up to 15W design would be very nice. I think 720p or sub-1080p is still good enough for 7 inch devices. If it's 1080p, I hope there's option to run it in 540p+integer scaling.

Damn i had the same issue on my brand new device right out of the box on both the triggers couldn't understand why I had to push harder and squeeze the triggers to shoot in gta 5 online. all that squeezing made the triggers a little loose tbh. anyhow this has solved my problem thanks a lot. ♥

Hi Bro, This is really helpful. I've been following this tutorial for my rog ally and rog ally x devices graphics driver update. But when Im trying to update the driver with Auto-Detect and Install version im getting amd 182 error. It means I cannot install the auto detect version and I cannot install the graphic driver update automatically.

I think they've updated their website because there is no option of processors with graphics so I just typed the final choice in the search and... success!

Thanks you for this, not sure why my ally had problems doing the regular factory reset. Really gave me a headache, now my old ally can get a new home
