Stone Temple Pilots - Piece of Pie - Bass Cover
My first video with my new camera and it is this killer track from Stone Temple Pilots called Piece of Pie. This is my first time trying to sync audio so I hope it came out ok and it also made me realize I need to clean my room, LOL.
Taken from their 1992 CD called Core, this really is a fun track to play with a fantastic bass line played by Robert DeLeo. He is one of my favorite bass players and seems to always come up with a perfect bass line for each song they have. The song is tuned in Drop D and I am using my Brubaker JXB4 that I had them custom make me with double reverse P pickups from Howard Ulyate and a John East J-Retro preamp. I am also using my Origin Effects Bassrig Super Vintage (SVT) pedal with some drive added to give it some grit.

Great job, It 's funny that you have to grow older to really really appreciate this music. I'm 60 and just now appreciating the tone and bass on this song. Always a great song, but the different tones and instruments are superb. Fabulous 👍
I’m 57 & have really got into the songs of my youth with a new found appreciation of what the bass guitar brings to these songs. I liked this song as a teenager but love it as an adult. What a voice Mark Hollis had!
