Adeniums are not born with labels, or with instruction sheets on how to grow them. Somebody has to identify them; somebody else has to work out how to grow them. Somebody has to share the experiences on adenium culture. I am here to share my forty years of experience with Adeniums. Blindly follow me to become a master grower in Adenium and you too can say with your adeniums. - Sundaram Ramasamy from Sundaradeniums.
Effect of Plant Growth Retardants on Adeniums
Plant Growth Retardant chemicals (PGR) can be used in adeniums for compact and multi-stemmed plants in any species of Adeniums.
Quality standards dictate that most container-grown plants should be compact, have short internodes, have a height consistent with the container they are grown in, and have strong stems.
Although short or dwarf cultivars exist in adeniums, chemicals that further reduce plant height and increase the compactness and strength of the plant are often required.
Achieving the best results with PGRs is a combination of art and science - science tempered with a lot of trial and error and a good understanding of plant growth and development.
For the best results, PGRs should be handled as production tools - like water and fertilizer.
