Adenium arabicum Indrajal

Adenium arabicum “Indrajal” red flowered one was created by induced stress on an arabicum Saudi plant during 2007 - 2008. Got this unknowingly, by girdling a telephone wire with a label and I had forgotten to remove that for one full year. The resultant effect is stress, formed on the plant at the twined place.
Branches, coming out below the stress point are totally different from the original arabicum plant and were noticed on 20th Feb 2009. Above the stress point, the plant keeps its own character. But below the stress point, it is totally different.
Even leaves, branches and flowers. The flower is red. Leaves are dark green with red liner on the edges. Branches are with short internodes and are not like the arabicum Saudi .
Even after removing the twined wire, it is growing like this for so many years until the mother plant died because of a flood at our nursery. Cuttings are rooted; and to date, it is stable with red flowers and short internodes even after 10 years.
They grow like dwarf arabicums with basal branches and some are grafted on arabicum stems. “ Indrajal” -Grafted plants are available in the trade. Red flowers and short internodes with dark green leaves growing as dwarf arabicum like a DHA.
