Adenium Cuttings Made Easy

August is the ideal time to prune the adeniums in South India, either flowering hybrids or arabicums.
We prune some vigorous growing arabicums for the stems.
In general, pruning can be done after the main season of flowering and after the harvest of the seedpod and two months before the monsoon
I choose August because:-
1- The peak flowering period is over.
2 - Harvested most of the seed pods by this time.
3 - Enough scion materials are available because of pruning
4 -August is best for transplanting.
5 - Pruned plants will be ready for the next season to show their full form.
6 - Monsoon is almost two months’ distance from August and cuttings will be saved from rotting before rooting.
That is why August is the most ideal time for pruning, grafting and for cuttings propagation in our locality. - Sundaradeniums
