Know your Adenium crispum Part 01

  • I have never seen a wild-collected crispum seedling or plant in the trade. No one is offering wild crispum seedlings for sale. The beautiful narrow leaved Bosam Jade crispums or any look-alike crispums are just hybrids with other species. So, the trade has no true species or habitat plants of crispums. Available ones as crispums are either hybrids or the resultant crosses with other Adenium species. If anyone says that they are having true crispum species for sale, that is a false statement. There may be some habitat plants available as grafted clones but that too without any reference or source. Even the concerned seller doesn’t know whether it is a hybrid or habitat one. The seller can at least claim that his hybrid is very like a crispum from habitat. This is the status for Adenium crispums at present.

Hello sir, can you pls make a video on how to treat rotted adenium ? Or can you pls give me the short info how do i treat my root rot adenium. One of mine adenium obesum just root rot, and it is a big plant and i dont want to loose it.

Remove from Pot. Wash the root zone. Check where the rot is. Prune back or remove the rot. If necessary, scoop out the rot. Keep that in the shade for 5 to 15 days according to the size. Then pot it. It will recover.

Thank you so very much. I did the same as you suggested but actually i forgot to reply you that day. And that adenium is now recovering from rot. Thanks a lot for the help.

Recently i sow some ordinary adenium seeds and beyond my surprise one of the seedling is pure white (albino). Is it possible that it'll grow it with its own root ? I don't know how to care for that albino adenium seedling.

Albino will not grow on its own. Graft it on other adeniums
