I'm considering getting a second one for this exact reason. If I already like the ball and see myself consistently using it, why not get another one and change the surface or tweak the layout? It makes perfect sense.
Hey Scott good to see you grow on your videos and merch as well as your professional career. Wish you well, question the 2000 was that by hand or on the spinner ?
Great video. For a pearl ball that comes with polish out of box, after sanding to 4000 surface, can I apply the polish by hand as well? or I have to take it to the pro shop to apply the polish via ball spinner. Any points to take note if I apply the polish by hand.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but what happens to dull & shiny surfaces after several games? Using the Attention Star as an example, I assume your 2000 grit surface will eventually shine back up on its own, but how long does that take and how far will it shine up before stabilizing? Will it lane shine back to its original surface? Same with the shiny one, what happens after multiple games? Does it just stay shiny on its own or does it actually dull down a bit and require a surface adjustment to get it back to its shiny out of box finish? I have an Attention Star but haven't changed the surface because of my slower 14 mph ball speed. Will that surface stay where it's at or will I need to eventually shine it back up to maintain the original finish? The Star is my first shiny pearl. Thanks for another great video.
No matter what you surface a ball to, it’ll always revert back to whatever the lane surface is that you bowl on. If you look up reports from multiple reliable studies, they say a lane turns a ball into 2,000-3,000 grit over time. So my recommendation is only to change the surface when you feel the ball isn’t serving the purpose you originally meant it for.
Brother I was having this question recently (about a different asym Pearl albeit, but same idea!) and this is the perfect response. Thank you!
Happy I could help! Don’t be afraid to sand down those pearls a little to tame them down!
Great vid. I like your to the point mansplations.
Yeah no wasting time here! Thanks for the feedback!
I've had my eye on that ball for awhile, and you made both of them look good. Thanks for sharing the different surfaces.
It’s one of the most versatile pearl balls I’ve ever thrown! You won’t be let down!
I bought mine on release day, front ten twice and a 784...LOVE this ball !
@@Me99adon that’s what I like to hear!
Very helpful video! Thank you!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!

Awesome decision!

The haus machine. You can do it manually by hand but the results won’t be as consistent.
Love the tech talk
Appreciate it!
Hey Scott what your avg speed ?
@@carlosandresguerra3690 it varies a lot depending on where I bowl. But usually 17.5 MPH

Always best to bring it to a professional to change the surface if possible. Polish by hand won’t really get the job done.
I use hand applied polish by ctd bowling, check it out. I've resurfaced and reapplied polish a few times on the Star already. Such a great ball!
@@chrisleeleslie oh awesome!

I really want this ball to replace my Envision Pearl. But the Envision has been such a good ball for me.
You cannot go wrong with an Attention Star!
surface makes the ball bounce? interesting 🤔🤔😂😂
I have to remember to not use Lane 63 there…😂
That Jersey is sick, but $80 ain't it.
All good! Appreciate you anyway. Quality is the best you’ll get and it’s customizable as well. But I get it. 😁
