I just bought my first pocket pen, a Gravitas in solid copper. One of the compelling reasons that attracted me to the pen were raves about the way it writes, but I also like metal pens (and wood ones too), partly inspired by eco concerns about avoiding plastic, but I also like Mother Natures’s natural beauty which inspired me to purchase an insanely expensive Sailor pen in Juniper wood.

I don’t have enough experience to make this comment, but I Willa hazy, because I would not be put off buying a pocket pen that I would have to post. How else can you keep a pocket pen really small to fit the pocket.

Monday morning Thailand time = FPT recap time! Regarding the paper problem, could it be that this original paper is rather dry and feels a bit hard, a bit woody and is uncoated as well, creating the sudden skips? I believe you used it right away after buying it? Did this incident happend right from the get go or later? If it happened later in Canada, then it might got affected by the dry heating conditions, or the air com condition? Just an idea. In Goulet's video, I only saw two pretty devastated people who have been caught in an online shitstorm that they don't know why or for what reason, which also makes them fear for the safety of their family and employees. And it is currently affecting their business and online presence. I hope they get substantial help and support to overcome this situation. I don't know anything of the situation, I only know that too many hysterical people have access to the internet. Jm2c... And like you, I got immediately interested in the Moonman/Majohn Triangle / Triangular(?) after checking out this channel. BTW, maybe Montblanc has a secret chinese manufacturing plant in China, like many swiss watch brands seems to have? Rolex, Breitling, Pateke Philippe and so on. I just can't believe that honorable Chinese manufacturers simply copy luxury goods down to the smallest detail, no Sir.🤣

I think you should dig a bit deeper into the goulet drama. I know that me and many of the people that I know are no longer going to be supporting them or giving them our business. It’s pretty bad what they are tied up with.

I don't have a SchonDSGN (pronounced like shown) Pocket Six, but I do have the one they make in PEEK and the Smoltem Black Ultem pens. Thanks for letting us know about some new sites. That is a nice looking new ink from J. Herbin. The other 2 are nice looking as well. Congrats, you got a beautiful Parker Duofold. I find it interesting that you have a demonstrator Crescent Filler. With me, weeks back while on a trip, I got to an antiques mall and found a 2nd Qtr 1944 Parker Vacumatic in a Golden Brown Pearl color, and a gold filled overlayed Wahl lever filler (looks somewhat like a Waterman) plus a couple of other pens. The Pen Chalet Mystery Box had arrived as well as the Goldspot Mystery Dip. With the mystery dip it also came with an A5 size Rhodia Goalbook.Today I got to go into a different antique mall and found a 1939 Conklin celluloid gold striated lever filler. Of all things to find I also found a vintage 32 oz. bottle of Sheaffer's Skrip 232 permanent blue black ink with close to a third of the ink still in the bottle!!I will have my work cut out for me.

Thank you Vincenzo for your kind words ! For the Trianglo, I've simply bought it to the pen world, but I don't know why, they have raised strongly the price since (+20 euros), and it is now sold out. Thank you also for your weekly recap, as always a very good moment for me ! EDIT: I just took a bit more info from The pen world. The pen is not yet in production (Unhappily not mentioned in their web site) and they should get more pens in 2-3 weeks.

The Nemosine narrowish (for instance, 0.6 mm) stubs are really nice. Well worth getting. I really love my OMAS 360 (triangular pen)

Toronto Pen Co has suspended their production of their folded brass nibs. Do you have a “second best” alternative suggestion as I know you have others in your collection for searching inks?

Thank you for the episode, Vincenzo. I just received my Platinum President with a Medium nib. It is not a demonstrator. However, the nib is outstanding. In my opinion much better than the 3776. Why they decided to stop production is unknown, but it is almost the same size as a Montblanc 146. It is their largest nib they made. I do wish they would bring it back, especially for their special editions. I have a number of Conklin / Monteverde pens and found them to be excellent writers for the price.

Thanks so much for answering my question about the P139 size vs the dolce vita! You are awesome. Side note before you use the Flexible Nib Factory feed. I put my FA15 into the my 823 body (fits perfectly). That solved any flow issues I had without replacing the feed. You might want to try this before using the feed (FNF accepts returns). Because the FA15 doesn't "flex" as much as the FA10, the flow isn't so much an issue if you put it in a vacuum filler (you can also put into any 823 clone body). The replacement feed from FNF is much more useful on the FA10 which indeed does have some flow problems if flexing hard, but these pilot nibs are actually a lot more ink dependent than anything. If you use Pilot Iroshizuku inks with them, that also helps A LOT. I have both pens and have tried everything and settled on keeping the FA15 in my 823 body which creates one of the best writing ones on the market. Comparable to my Custom Urushi. Then I took my 823 M nib and pit it into an Asvine v200 (fits & writes amazing with standard Asvine feed/housing). And then I take the 742 (FA10) housing section and screw it into my 743 body (fits perfectly). So I kind of optimize everything without having to replace the feeds. But really what ink you use with these FA nibs is most important, as soon as you use a dryer ink, it will railroad. The FA15 isn't really a flex nib as the FA10. But really is the most wonderful soft, unique writers in market for the price in the 823 body. Thanks always Vincenzo! Have a wonderful week.

I am a 30something years old artist (designer and illustrator) from Germany, who loves drawing, sketching, writing and generally "feeling" with a fountain pen. There was nothing I was able to do, to find a way to get away from this sometimes too scratchy, too dirty way of drawing things... but every time I was forced to come back and love it even more. Because... well because it is beautiful. Because obviously fountain pens are amazing "tools" to use, but because they are much more than just a tool. They give you feedback like no other tool, each pen has it's own character and loves or hates different kinds of ink or paper... they are not tools for me, but colleagues... and I love it. I love it so much. I am writing this even though I am working on a illustration, which has to ship out tomorrow and I just wanted to have a short break, but youtube gave me a nice present: this video of yours. And when you saw the pen the first time (11:50) and got really emotional, I had tears in my eyes as well. Thank you so much for expressing your love for this particular pen. Thank you so much, for feeling these kinds of emotions for a "simple thing like a pen". I am truly grateful for people like you having so much passion. And you know why? Because I know that my love for these beautiful pens is probably going to stay or even get stronger throughout the next 30 years or so. Thank you Vincenzo, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
