Vazir can mean “prime minister” by some translations

I just got a used one at a pen show, and I am enjoying the Bock nib alot. My first vac fill, it's a learning experience. Writes so smoothly.

Nice pens indeed and not overpriced as I see it from some other Indian brands. And your video lured me to the Vazir website and I actually found what I was looking for, a cheaper FP with #6 Jowo threaded nib units to equip with my newly purchased Kanwrite Ultraflex and Flex Titanium Jowo nib units. The titanium color of the nibs doesn't go particularly well with my Leonardo MZ and the Nettuno 1911 Superba. Though they are looking a bit dull, the nibs are excellent, fully meet my expectations of modern flex nibs and are absolutely sufficient for my small flexing needs and abilities. Soon I'll do a little review. Finally my Flex hunt is over, and at a fraction of the price offered by too many sellers and manufacturers

One of my very first pens was Vazir in crushed blue and red acrylics with flex nib. I brought Vazir Checkmate a couple years later and i can swear they have come a long way with the quality they offer today. Amazing pens🎉

I have bought some of these pens in the past and found them to be of good quality. I have some Noodlers pens which I understand are also made in India. I haven’t found them as easy to order which I found off putting.

Appears to be a chess piece on the nib and a ?chess board on the barrel. I believe chess originated in India

Vazir pens are awesome and wonderful... I have about 10+ different unique fountain pen collections from Vazir... wonderful quality and reasonable price.

Wow. I got a sample of "For Whom The Bell Tolls" but mine just looks dark teal which i think looks great. I never shook the sample up however; hell, i forgot it had that shading/shimmering ( whatever you call it), I’m just interested in dark colors, and I thought it was just a dark teal. I used in in an <ef> Eco. I thought looked very good on my cheaper paper, but it was just teal, no reds, just a nice dark teaI. I use cheap, or the cheapest paper i can that doesn't defeat the purpose of using a fountain pen, some cheap paper is pretty good. I just take notes from whatever I’m trying to learn, so I can justify expensive paper, unless it’s for a journal. Right now, I use Mead 5 Star Composition books. Any Mead with the plastic flexy covers work well, even with a stub, but I stick with <ef> and <f > because I don't use expensive paper. Walmart had those Mead 5stars on sale for one dollar, then fifty cents, so i bought a bunch. Jesus, I think I have SIXTY of them lol. The Hemingway ink, wrote well on that paper but I’m really surprised to see all that red in the Hemingway ink in this video. Does it look more teal or red when dry? Mine is teal, NO red tones, but i bought a sample so apparently whoever took the sample, didn’t shake the ink up prior to taking the sample. I didn't shake the sample either, because I forgot it was that type of ink (I never use that shimmer ink)…I just wanted a dark teal. Anyway, it was a pretty nice color, and didn’t t really feather, so I’ll probably buy a bottle, but now, I’m afraid to…Is it more green/teal or pinkish when dry.. I cant tell. I hate the color pink. Grazie.

Both are nice looking pens, but the Checkers is awesome! That's a chess piece on the nib. I assume the squares represent the playing board. As you turn the pen, it almost gives a pixelated effect.

Should I write to Trump with a steel nib, 18kt or 14kt nib? Not so pretty letters. Which ink?

I have to say I bought a vazir pen about three years ago and was very… underwhelmed. The size and feel in the hand were good, and I think they actually made the nib for it too, but the barrel/cap threads were mangled and it wouldn’t write more than a paragraph without drying out on me, so I sold it and moved on with my life. I don’t want to be disparaging, but it cost around £100 with shipping and duty from India, so the whole experience left a bad taste. However, based on these two it seems they’ve upped their game, which can only be a good thing. Hopefully they can maintain this quality going forward!

Congratulations, Vincenzo! The price is acceptable when buying it directly from a Japanese dealer (compared to western dealers), the pen is definitely a King among FP's, the nib is writing great with impressive lines. Only this converter is a real letdown, it just doesn't fit such a beauty, especially at this price point.

I like your reviews because you buy lots of cool pens. I'm saving for an 845 Urishi and I have see them on Amaxon for 1/2 of what Goulet sells them for. What do you or your viewers think of buying a gray 845 on Amazon.

Where I think the Montblanc wins out is with ink capacity. I don’t why Sailor continue to handicap their top of the range pen with such a small capacity converter. Very off putting. The two main competitors in my opinion, are Visconti Homo Sapiens and the Pelikan M1000 ,both with medium nibs.

My grail used to be that Italian volcanic twist loc pen. Then I changed to that Japanese scratchy pen, but now I have a V60 with a feedback nib for less than $25 and I no longer have a "GRAIL" pen.

I got the King of Pen the second year it was released. It has an ebonite body. No trim except for clip. It is truly a grail pen. I had the nib tuned by the Sailor nib meister when he was touring North America.. I can never, ever think of not having this pen. Please enjoy and cherish you KoP.

The KOP is truly the king. To me there’s such a huge gulf between that gorgeous KOP nib and the still-very-good-but-not-jaw-dropping 21k nibs on their 1911L and Pro Gears. Bouncy and soft but at the same time just sharp and precise… like a hot scalpel or a katana.

Congratulations, I was fortunate to get one of the limited edition ebonite Blue Ripple versions recently (only 88 made) which cost double what yours did but I'm so happy with it. I find it better than my MB149 or Pelikan M1000 (both awesome) - it's my best pen, and it's all down to that beautiful nib.

Beautiful. Same 0.7ml convertor as the one in ProGear? There are Ebonite and Resin models under KOP (any many other annual things). Yours seem to be the resin version.

Congratulations Vincenzo! Sailor KoP is an amazing Pen, perhaps my favorite when it comes to Nib response and performance. It writes in a very nuanced way, unique to it, which always makes me to write a bit longer than intended :) I don't consider the lack of piston a problem, it is so easy and hustle free to change inks - However I do agree that an XL converter would make a huge difference on constant use. Enjoy!

I love my sailor 1911 King Of Pen in Ebonite! Congratulations!! If you continue to pursue grail pens, you must have some clients with deep pockets to fund your searches!!

I just got a Nakabayashi Logical Prime special edition notebook. I am new to fountain pens, though so haven't got the right inks to test. Seems fp-friendly, though.

The German manufacturer Divine Design makes a wonderful Eyedropper. Arguably the best quality/price/looks ratio in the market right now. Designed for eyedropping, delivered with converter, fits std cartridges also. The slick, simple design in 4 colors and large transparent barrel highlights the color of the ink as an aesthetic asset. Generous pen size, comfortable grip section, large capacity, reliable Jowo steel nibs of 4 sizes. It's got everything you need for €60. It's a steal!

The Vazir looked to me to have the most comfortable section, with its hourglass shape to accommodate round fingers. Did you by chance made a video showing how it writes?

Once again, a nice review of a Tramol pen Vincenzo! I swear if I didn't know better, I would have thought it was a Jinhao 82 at first glance. For now, I'm holding off on any new purchases in the near future, but this one may make it on my short list for something to think about down the road!

I ordered two of these on Etsy and they both came with genuine Jowo fine nibs which performed flawlessly out ot the box. They were not the cheep nibs.

I have this pen in several colours. The one from AliExpress with the standard nib had misaligned tines, but once I adjusted them the nib actually writes quite lovely. On Etsy the same pen is available in several more colours, and the nibs were great out of the box for all the ones I ordered from Etsy.
