i actually disagree about the leopard print! like others have said, it's not its first time being "in" and it won't be the last. it's very out-there but it's been around for so long that i almost view it as a classic. i don't think it'll ever go out of style. also! i'm pretty sure the frazzled english woman thing stemmed from rom-com leads like bridget jones and kate winslet in 'the holiday'; the paparazzi pictures serve as inspiration but it's not the "core" of it, so to speak. you know how we tend to romanticize opening a café or owning a bookstore? i've always felt that's what the trend's about; it's wanting to give off the vibe of a cozy, quirky woman, and trying to emulate the feeling of being the main character in a movie from that time. i know this is going to sound a bit incongruous, because _it's a manufactured trend,_ but there's something nice about people wanting to be slightly messy or "frazzled" in a world of polished instagram models and influencers.

I've always loved and wanted leopard print clothing. I think it's actually a more timeless print that comes in and out of fashion, whereas checkerboard is a little more niche and closely connected to that late '10s era.

I think all of this is funny because I just look at something and if I want to wear it, I buy it. I don't have a style I just wear what I like. I also wasn't aware that any of these were trends am I living under a rock?? 😭😭

Seems like the ultimate thing to remember is that you probably already have something equivalent in your closet and don’t actually need a new jacket, new sneaker, etc

really to best solution to wanting to be the girl in the microtrend picture is to be that/your own girl develop ur personality, self esteem and personal sense of style. i am off tiktok for a long time and am now starting to just use a flipphone etc. and have never had more security in myself, time and mental space to be myself where originality truly comes from
