I have to disagree with the take on bag charms and pops of red.

i think what made me get bored of lot of these items and dislike them as trends was the need to juxtapose everything in the "pinterest outfits": i love cowboy boots in a cowboy outfit with jeans and a cowboy hat, or a long fur coat worn like an elegant grandma with heels and a fur hat, or a mcbling outfit with leopard print. but seeing all these pieces worn almost the exact same way: girly/elegant elements (bows, leopard print, fur coats, bloomers) paired with masculine/sporty elements (baggy jeans, jerseys, sambas, cowboy boots) waters everything down to give all the outfits the exact same, 2024 feeling

Am I the one who doesn’t really get trendy things in my Pinterest recommendations? I work as an artist for video games, and most of my Pinterest is related to my work, but I use it for fashion exploration as well. I like clothing with character and unconventional fashion in general, and I see trendy items or outfits with a super Instagram look there super rarely. That’s why I believe the algorithm can work for you if you know how to work with it.

I love baroque pearls so much. I like that they are affordable (at least if they aren't designer) yet natural and something that is real jewelry that will last you ages (unlike bijoux/costume jewelry). I love regular baroque, coin pearls and Biwa pearls a lot, and I wanna get a necklace with very irregular shapes as well. The thing about baroque is that they always look impossibly cool, without the danger of looking old fashioned or costumey like regular pearls sometimes do.

I stole the pop of red idea from the character leslie in the book anne’s house of dreams as a child except that she would grow her own red flowers and put them in her hair and I just have a red stripe on my shoes :( but the whole concept still reminds me of her and I am unreasonably defensive about it lol
