Instead of stitching the prayer, you could stitch just part of it, or none of it, and then incorporate your grandmother’s information.

Also true story - Panettone linen is a bear to dye for Kerri. Our southwestern humidity and temperature effects the recipe as an equal partner in the dye process so we can get greener dye lots (like your amazing kitten stitcher pillow) OR more of the red will come out. Like a box of chocolates, Panettone keeps on giving surprises….. 😂 and thank you for the Roxy floss shout out love!

Hi Audrey, I am hoping you can recommend a smallish HATS chart for an Aida stitcher with not too many colors so I could try 100.3s for the first time? I have Martha Walmsley (using DMC) because I simply love everything about her, especially the pinks and greens, but I won't have her done anytime soon and would really love a sweet little HATS sampler to encourage me to push on with Martha. I would be so grateful for your time and suggestions. Thank you so much!

So many pretty things! I had to stop watching and go check out Mary Jo Hiney’s strawberries and then I had to look at the embroidery kits and then I came back to your video to see that you had actually finished one of the kits! I’ve never worked with ribbon, so maybe the strawberries are the better choice? I love all your stitching!

Hi Audrey! More Comments to come but needed to give you a heads up on Nettle … I’m stitching her now.. SO CUTE! But the eyes on nettle herself are charted in wrong color… so reference the eyes on the mask . Thats correct! If you do it as charted they blend into the rest of the bunny…. Ok back to watching !! :-)

TLDR. Donder comes from the poem, not the song. Reindeer name is originally Dunder in the Clement C Moore "A visit from St Nicholas" in 1823 (apparently Dunder and Blixen was a mild form of swearing - equivalent to Gosh and Darn); but was changed (several times) and by the 1860s he'd settled on Donder (Dutch for thunder) pairing with Blitzen (lightning) Donner comes much later - when Rudolf the red nosed Reindeer was written - mid 20th century. I guess the songwriter liked the fewer consonants or knew the (modern) German Donner - and thought the original was a mistake. Of course the song has embedded itself in our popular 21st century consciousness, much more than the 19th century poem.

The mystery animal in Maria's sampler may be a greyhound. Larger than a whippet, but traditionally bred for coursing deer - which would make it a logical companion to the stag. Could also be a deerhound. Even larger, but with a shaggy coat.

I'm wondering if Jenny's sampler alphabet is in 'learning to write' order. When teaching letters, it's often easiest for young children to learn to print letters with only horizontal and vertical strokes, then curves, then diagonals.

And I forgot to comment because something else captured my attention. But it was on my mind to come back and comment later, so here I am, better late than never, and I did rewatch the video to refresh my memory of it, and yes, it was even better the second time around! I always learn something new from you, and I’m always inspired by your stitching endeavors. And of course, you know how much I love your personality and spirit! ☺️ You may have mentioned this in a past video, but do you use a beading needle to stitch on the 56 count fabric? Carolyn Manning has created some cross stitch designs based on Dear Jane. I am a quilter (and cross stitcher, of course) and got the Dear Jane book so, so many years ago and it still intrigues me. I haven't made the quilt yet but I still plan to, some day. I'll probably stitch the CM designs before I get the quilt done! Muslin is also a really popular background/neutral fabric, especially for make reproduction quilts.

What a great idea. We just rescued over 30 cats from an abandoned home and the shelters in 100 mille radius are loaded. No help with altering or homing and three females are ready to birth!! They are all strapped for money and room so I hope your offer helps your chosen group!

You are amazing, love the Sampler. I like the idea of a drum or a pin pillow, we have no children our cat and dog are our children.
