So while data centers continue to use huge amounts of water, that's water that is out of circulation for farmers. I think I'd rather the farmers get the water to grow food, then facebook. The amount of water that Data centers use is rarely in the news, this is a big deal and more people need to know.

A private residence usually can't get access to theise levels of service in what seems to be an effort to corner the market and privatize the whole network in a effort to bring technology that is not wanted by the communities or they at least want the option to choose!

I wanna work for AT! And what do you mean buy own? During the contract lease own? Don't the towers makers own everything? Or phone companies would make their own towers and pay themselves?

I worked in the telecom industry going back to 1972. I used to work in that building at 151 Front St. W. for 17 years. My work also took me up to the microwave level of the CN Tower, which is just a block away. The company I worked for was called CN Telecommunications, owned by the railway, which later merged with CP Telecommunications, to become CNCP and then CN sold out, Rogers bought in, with AT&T getting a small slice of the company then called Unitel. There have been other changes over the years. I have also worked for contractors, doing work for Bell, Rogers, Wind/Freedom and others. For Rogers, I have worked on the LTE rollout and also in some of their cable offices. Freedom, originally called Wind, is now owned by Videotron. I have worked on their cell sites under both names. 151 Front St. W. was built in the mid 1950s specifically for CN Telecommunications and is now a fibre hotel and Internet exchange point. It is also a Cologix data centre and Freedom also has space there, among other companies. Being owned by the railways gave the companies, CNT, CNCP and Unitel right of way in multiple directions along side the tracks. That is a site I knew extremely well.

There is also 5G on 3.5 GHz C band, at least with Rogers, though not when this video was made.

I grew up in Ashburn, VA. The data centers are both an iconic backdrop of the area, as well as a very depressing surrounding. They are just these giant concrete, windowless buildings that surround the area. Ashburn, VA is such an incredibly boring place to be, it's such a juxtaposition to it's importance.

Yup and I'm acting like the low band is high band and it constantly disconnecting and throwing your phone signal disconnected connect it all over the place really really sucks. basically I'm just their guinea pig for 5G because they can get away with it because I have a prepaid.

So through one of these internet exchanges points, are you only able to connect to the other providers services that are located in the same point, or does it allow for access to the whole internet, but lower latency for the service providers that are there?
