I got DSL with Verizon is working very bad I would like to get faster internet service. Which one should I get? A guy from Spectrum signed me up is not install yet and they're ready charging me $59.98 included $9.99 fee a plan that got a discount for 24 months then it will go back to $74.99 mo. I don't want it. Am looking for better one. Thanks
@@argeliswilliams2987 it depends on what part of America you live in, because internet providers are different by state or city. I would also check if you can get access to 1) Xfinity from Comcast or 2) Verizon Fios in your area. Those two providers are strong.
@@dh-uo4lt In short, we view fiber as a threat to Lumen and a negative to its future prospects. Lumen is very cautiously deploying fiber, with a growth pace of only ~400k homes passed with fiber per year. Therefore, this fiber-to-the-home deployment will be unlikely to offset the company’s overall decline in its 4.6 million consumer broadband subscriber base (which has a significant DSL subscriber component that will switch to other providers). Some of us live where there is no cable, fiber, wireless, or satellite infrastructure, meaning we are stuck with DSL, only getting speeds of 4/1 Mbps or less. I am watching this with a 1.5/0.5 Mbps DSL connection from Centurylink.
You are correct, it is tough. But hopefully the Federal Communications Commission's new Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) program will help support more fiber builds outside the major cities.
