Hey everyone Adam Simmons here from Dgtl Infra, short for Digital Infrastructure. Digital infrastructure, as an asset class, which includes towers, data centers, and fiber has recently become essential and ‘utility-like’ in nature, given that it is leased on long-term contracts (of 10 or more years) and has recurring cash flow streams.
This ‘utility-like’ nature of digital infrastructure is similar in many ways to other types of infrastructure, such as infrastructure for energy, power & renewables, transportation, utilities, and water.
In this video, we highlight a German company called GasLINE, which is owned by 10 German gas transmission and regional distribution companies. At the same time, GasLINE also owns more than 17.4k miles (or 28.0k kilometers) of fiber-optic infrastructure.
