Between these and the FT1 Pro, which has the better bass?

People always complain about the build quality of Grados but I have a pair of RS2es that have gotten almost daily use for 12 years and I bought them used, so I'm guessing actual age is like ~15 years. Not overly abused, but I do drop them, twist the cable awkwardly sometimes, and they're holding up great. Also, with the G-cush pads and all of those years of break-in on the headband, I can hardly tell anything is on my head when I'm wearing them. Completely agree on the cable though, it needs to be detachable and less chonk.

Maybe I missed it. But what headphones amplifier did you use? Maybe the Fiio headphones and the amplifier you are using are not a good match. And the frequency response you hear is not the same as other people will hear on a different amplifier.

The Robin is trash tbh. Trusted Zreview and grab that, it was a freaking disappointment. The sound is really lackluster be it with amp or DAP, the leather peeled within a year of minimum use. I am still waiting for my FT1, hopefully it's as promising as the reviewers claimed.

I got my FiiO FT1 few weeks ago and i love them, mine are the original wallnut colour, love them...i don't like this colour, but hey....everyone with their choice. But the headphnes i love them so much, paired them with my new DX180, they hear so awesome.

It looked like it came with extra sticky pads? How difficult is it to completely remove it after it's been stuck? I'd be worried about it leaving a sticky residue or being stuck too hard and breaking the lacquer?

heya - thanks for the video and I do have this mic but ran into a problem - might be more to do with being the first gen version tho. I used this on my Senny HD58x Jubilees but those being open back meant there was a lot of mic pick up from my audio that caused a problem for others on discord when playing WoW. maybe this has been solved with gen 2 now. but I do agree that this clip on mic sounds bloody good and it's lovely to have a much better sounding headphone than most of the crappy 'gaming' headsets.

Is the 660 S2 a huge step up from the 560 I have currently. The 560 sounds good to me, but also a bit flat and sterile. Will the 660S2 give me more smoothness, nicer bass, just a more pleasant sound for listening music compared to 560?

My only scepticism with using this solution as opposed to gaming headsets: 1. No volume control 2. Headphones aren’t design for long sessions either physically (pads or comfort) and in the sound design (listening fatigue with peaky tuning). 3. Headphone impedance compatibility with a controller.

You lost me at the first mention of that awful protein leather. That is plain garbage that wont last more than two years, at most, and after that will look like a refugee camp tent on the border of Syria. I've bought that kind of crap before from Fiio and I'm no longer willing to spend not even a cent more on that.

I don't know what happened to your review unit but these earpads aren't the stock ones. At least not the version being sold everywhere. And that is definitely part of the overall tuning of the FT1.

This is a little late question for this video, but is there a noticeable difference for the driveability between the two? I know my amp at max volume is probably capable of running the ss sided based on Zeos' testing, but having a little headroom would be nice

I really questioned the release of this colorway. Fiio's photography of it make it look bad in but after this video I have come to like them. I already bought my dad the dark walnut but I might have to pick up a pair for myself in this smooth peanut butter now! Great review!

awesome review I think the PC38X is very similar to the Game One and I have 2 pairs of those (loved the sound and comfort so much I bought a backup pair😁) I also tried the Game Zero not realising they are closed back and I really didn't like them - appreciate the swivel on the headphones so they can go flat around your neck but the sound is just not for me. also pleased to see mention of the Jubilees which I have been using as a sound step up for music over my beloved Game Ones. wanted to ask your advise on the next step up from the HD58x Jubilee's please. I can get HD660S2 relatively cheap or do you think the HD6XX would be a better jump than the Jubilees?
