For me I think the smoothest feeling is the Andy's variation just because of how much mana you get back, but the shako/starless/tyraels is great too, that set up is definitely beefier in straight up defense, so there'd be less chance of getting 1 shotted, andy's has great sustain though and its basically the only mythic you need for that variation so that's a plus too.

No problem! Definitely mandatory for this version of the build, in the build planner in description there's a non mythic version. The mana is from Life on Hit so a huge amount of it will come from Andy's so without that, for this chain lightning build you need to get LoH on your other items.

Oh awesome! Yeah it can be tough, mine has about 15k also with 2 topaz's, but Andy's gives enough sustain to make it through. Definitely helps to roll masterworks on Axial's Damage reduction.

You can use that if you'd like but you'd have to change some other stuff as you'd lose the orange herald aspect, and you'd also need to roll armor somewhere else and for this specific build I found that wasn't as good.

Nice! I've found only 1 Andariels so far. It can, you can see the end of one at like 30s into the vid when I'm speaking about it.

Ah that's unfortunate :( I haven't tried on console tbh. I actually like frozen orb more too but I found it a lot weaker this season, that shako is pretty good for many other builds at least! :D

No, we don't really use a lot of resource when running optimally, and we lose needed aspects and more importantly, we lose the cooldown reduction on Lightning Spear.

I just like that itll heal me back to pretty much full instantly from trash mobs. Not really many other good options there, could go for max life if you wanted.

Yes but you would need to find a new winterglass as the old ones don't have the cooldown reduction when frozen orb explodes, also requires you to get the new temper recipes.

You need crit chance at 79-85% after evade, depending on whether you use a crit potion or not, and then just get crit dmg as high as possible once you hit cd cap, basically. Winterglass with GA on cooldown and full masterwork is what you want, so that's all good. :D

He doesnt need to put points into flame shield because he has Shako. As you can see in the showcase, he has Fire shield on his bar without any points in it.

Thanks, it's not bad on bosses too when you get more CDR too. Don't need the flameshield ranks as I have points in it from items and if i got the rare nodes in elemental summoner it would just give all resist but i'm already maxed on that.

you will definitely run out of mana if you spam frozen orb.. you should be spamming lightning spear. 1 or 2 frozen orb then spam the spear.. the orb is just supplementary to increase the cooldown of lightning spear

​@@anthonyaragon2599 if you are following this build. i would assume that you have a shako and tal rasha.. you should aim to masterwork all the cooldown reduction on those gears (3x each). do note that it is better to have a tal rasha with the highest roll on cooldown reduction. additionally you need to have your winterglass cooldwon roll to be at least +.6

unless you have an endgame fully optimized build dont expect the lightning spear to almost have no cooldown. if you watch the video closely, the way he is spamming skills are in alternates.. it is not more of frozen orb

you will also be wearing a normal ring in this build of which one of its tempering is lightning spear cooldown.. you get that to masterwork 3x you should have a decent cooldown on lightning spear

Shako is easy to get, you don't need a drop from bosses. 3 weeks in and I am done with this char. nothing to do anymore😅

How vital is Crit Chance % in this build? Does it have a big impact on how it plays and resets Spear cool down? I played this build with a flat 60% Crit Chance and didn't enjoy it. Would it be different if I got that up to 85%?

​@HolyWhisp all of your dmg comes from splintering aspect so you're only really doing dmg when you crit. The skill dmg itself is terrible which is why you only put 1 point in it.

With this build the highest Pit I've done is 135 currently, the last pit I recorded was 133, a bit of that was shown at the very start of this video.

No, I would need perfect gear to get your Lightning Spear to near that low. I can get mine to 6.3 currently, at the time of the video I believe it was 7.2. Getting the right rolls/masterwork on all the gear would be the end goal and ofc make you significantly stronger. I'd also swap some things if I had perfect gear.

@@GinDoesGaming Oh okay - yeah I'm currently facing that problem as well. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. Can't seem to get a Shaco with CD GA, and can't get my 2nd ring to Lightning spear CD x3

@@AfroPuff Yeah it's definitely a rough grind to get those things out, especially the shako but unless you're trying to push pits as high as possible it's not too bad :D

You don't need Shako with Ga on Cdr. I have reached 5.8 cdr on lightning speer. thats enough for 50 stacks of conjoration

6.3 here and on dummies I get 51 stacks

In optimized versions of the build you just hold down lightning spear and destroy everything and casting frozen orbs means less conjurations and less damage. This guy only has around 30 conjurations max which either means his cooldown is too low or his hourglass has bad rolls.

Check out the tier 8 Mekuna is running. One of the best sorcerers in the game other than northwar and the others. Watch him use his frozen orb in the 8 horde. Sometimes it just has to happen if the mobs are not bunched up and grouped good. I’ve even seen Raxx do it as well. Nothing wrong with it honestly and mechanics in tier 8 will one shot you . Have to stay moving and sustain somehow, why not pop an orb when you need to smfh.

You don‘t Need to put a point in flame shield because you get 4 from shaco

Thats right, damage afix is useless

It doesn't for the splintering portion, it's either that or max life, you could go max life for sure if you'd like, it does give a hit of tankiness, atm I just haven't had an issue with that. I'd Imagine if I go higher in the pits I would revert back to Max Life though. (Although I'll be changing builds now to try other stuff so I may not have to worry about that) :D

I’ve rerolled and spent billions of gold trying to get the right amount of CS/CSD and code on my shako, it’s definitely very expensive and time consuming for sure! I’m running FO/LS with wand and focus but have my tibualts and 2h staff on stand by till I get my rolls right then im switch to full LS, and will probably use your skill tree, I noticed its very similar to northwars with the chain lighting points for crackling. :)

Just have some decent CDR as well as a good fractured winterglass so a lot of orbs exploding/conjurations spawning, you get more mana regen per conjuration, and ice armor gives mana regen as well, that's about it really.

It procs when you're using shock skills whilst Unstable Currents is active. I think it's the best option out of the other skills/passives in that section.

Just have to make sure you always have a way to keep barrier active and save flame shield for avoiding big dmg if you can't evade or move out of it.

I'd go with Shako. Shako makes you a lot tankier, and you get a lot of dmg also from having that cdr, even without greater affix if you masterwork cdr only twice it's 39%, that's just too good to pass up. It also frees up the armor requirements on the chestpiece so you can swap that to ranks into defensive skills or teleport etc and temper warmth instead of total armor %.
