UGLY ART Sketchbook Tour #sketchbooktour
Hello, just thought I would share a non-aesthetic, ugly art sketchbook of mine that I completed a couple years ago. I wouldn't say that it's horrific or anything, but definitely not my favorite thing I've ever made.
I really enjoying seeing how other people work in their sketchbooks - are they only using one image per page, do they write in it, what mediums they use, is there a theme or just random chaos all over? So I thought others might like to just see a flip through as well. Maybe one day I will figure out how many sketchbooks it takes to make a good one lol.
I would say mine falls in the category of quick loose art. There are probably only like 5 ideas/sketches/paintings I actually like somewhat enough to revisit (hence the ugly art title).
Don't get me wrong I LOVE an aesthetic sketchbook, and hopefully one day mine will be aesthetic in some capacity. But I think it's ok to be who we are, imperfections and all. And this sketchbook is part of my story.
♡Thank you for visiting ♡

Watercolor Swatch with Daniel Smith Colors
มุมมอง 53914 วันที่ผ่านมา
I made a short video showing which watercolors I have in my new DS watercolor palette. I didn't really know where to start when I first started buying art supplies. Still figuring things out. Just thought I would share a simple palette that has basics, neutrals, and some granulating colors to give you an idea of how you could set up your own palette if you want. I'm sure there is a more "tutori...

Hey Everyone, I decided to film an art haul that I purchased recently to share my experience with the Princeton Neptune Watercolor Brushes. While I filmed 12 of the brushes, there are actually 22 more brushes available at Princeton.com in the series (May want to check DickBlick.com to see if better pricing). So if I didn't swatch the exact size or style you are looking for definitely check out ...

What To Do If Your Art Is UGLY!!! 3 Tips!!
มุมมอง 743 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey art lovers! Just thought I would show you what I try to do when things aren't exactly going my way on a project. I have many times thrown things away or just quit on the idea, and while that is probably the right choice in some circumstances, I wanted to show you what you can try if you really want to keep working through the challenge. Main Points: ✧Try it in a different medium. ✧Work on s...

How Many Layers of Paint Do I Need?
มุมมอง 364 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone! Just a short video that shows the minimum layers of paint that you should consider when you are working (imho). This may be very obvious for art enthusiasts, but for beginners I hope this helps give you a jumping off point. When I was starting, no one told me any of this stuff! Would have been nice to know 😏 ♡Thank you for visiting ♡ Stay Inspired, Jeanne

You have some really promising pieces. Art practice takes time. Good luck
i agree that you have to make a lot of art and keep going! i’m not sure i could see myself revisiting any of these, but never say never right? thank you for spending time here
Ugly is good. Keep going! When you finish your next sketchbook, go back and look at this one and you'll be surprised how much you will have improved. Love the page with the drips. Suggestion- also date your pages - you may find it helpful later on.🙂
@@colorcapacity2779 Love this idea, I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks for watching. I would have never picked the drips as a favorite. But that teaches me a very valuable lesson.
This is what I’ve been looking for! Subbed
welcome 🤗 and thank you .. glad this sketchbook didn’t scare you away lol
Just saw this for the first time, but it doesn’t look ugly at all! I think all of the sketches has their own personality and looks really dreamy and thoughtful!
aww thank you for saying that, i never thought about it like that …each one is so different and kind of all over .. but to say each has its own personality 🥹 that sounds much nicer, thanks for watching
It's perfect for me, not ugly art.
@@HopefulMathGirl that’s so kind of you to say. thank you for watching. i do feel happy that it is a completed sketchbook.
I love the way you use colours. Keep going. I would also recommend watching @sealdeer sketchbook videos. They are so chaotic and unhinged that it makes me excited to just do the same and forget about perfection.
i love this advice, thanks so much, definitely trying to get out of that mindset! will check them out!
Good job! Atleast you have done something 😅hope you make more progress .my sketchbook is still new even after 2 years😢
@@smh_18 oh i definitely have several unfinished and blank, you are not alone in this.. i hop around from sketchbook to sketchbook as well .. thanks for the support, and good luck to you, maybe today will be a good day to crack that baby open and practice..
Hi. Love your color choices… could you please tell me where you got your large white ceramic palette? (That’s divided into three sections and you set your watercolor pans on in the video) love the size & simplicity Thanks!

Oversimplification of project management
The intention of the video was for people who struggle with anxiety and overthinking and overwhelm when getting started on a project, specifically artistic businesses. I am speaking from my personal experience of being stuck in analyzing and planning and not just getting started, not the experience of “project management” in general.

8: trypophobia In context trypophobia is when you are afraid of geometric figures stuck together.
Very Interesting- I guess i have the opposite since painting shapes and patterns relieves my anxiety
Its true!
These r so satisfying to look at
Thank you I am trying something different for me
КАК-ЖЕ КРАСИВО 😍💌
Thank you ☺️
I LOVE painting, and hate spending time drawing, especially because I've just never been good at it and don't enjoy it particularly. These were really helpful tips. Thank you
Some days I just want to work on a nice painting project, and for me it can really kill my mojo to get bogged down with a drawing that doesn't turn out. Glad you found it helpful!
OMG, so pretty I thought you were destroying it though it was so pretty though, but the painting that you made was so pretty I am one of your 30 likes
glad you liked it ☺️
it was hard to cover up the old one, but i didn't think it was good enough to sell or donate 🤷🏻♀️
So cute❤
thank you
im happy with how it turned out 🥹
You can do it. You are Strong 🎉🎉
Same here, I prefer lots of colours than mixing. I do art as a hobby. 🥰
I love the never ending possibilities of art!!!! lol
Thank you 😊 I’m thinking it would be cute on a tee
Cool pretty
