Self Portrait on Large Canvas with Acrylic Paint

I wanted to do a large acrylic painting and decided to do a self-portrait for a variety of reasons. It was a lot of fun and would recommend to anyone who Is interested in doing portraits, to start here.
I attempted another grid, and I do think it helped some. I am going to look into other ways to transfer a sketch to my final painting surface, as I want to try and solve the composition and line work prior to solving the painting problem.
In the past, my first painting experiences were started with acrylic paint pouring and abstract pieces, very random and no control. As my craft has developed over the years, I have found more success (for me) in pieces that I spend more time planning on the front end.
I think this turned out ok, would love to add some more details. I had originally wanted to add some shells to the hair but ultimately decided to keep it simple. I would love to revisit that idea. Maybe next year will try again.
