I bought a new Model 3 Standard Range. I didn't test drove it. I bought it in a hurry, because we got in Belgium a temporally 5000 euro incentive, + Tesla reduced the price to another 5000 Euro. You need to be below the 40.000 Euro threshold to validated for an EV temporally incentive. So got the car for 35.000 Euro !!! This is insane. By the way, your review is the best around. I was trying to find a Model 3 review, that gives me a sense what I bought. This is the only one that gives me the confidence, I made the right choice.
Thanks so much!! You definitely chose well! Let's just hope no weight based taxes for you like they did in the Netherlands...or is that the case? Here in Hungary, only companies can get incentives (11k EUR) but so far NO ONE (apparently) has received a decision on their submission.
Enjoyed your video. I did the same as you and tested 3 vehicles back to back. I too wanted an X but ended up saving 50k and got the Model 3 Highland LR. When the X gets a refresh to the same standard I will make the change.
Thanks for your time! The Model 3 Highland is an entirely new generation, with much higher standards, I can't imagine investing in any other model right now! Congrats!
You can choose regen in a Tesla. I have a Model 3 LR and I bought ‘S3XY buttons’ from Jowua. It’s a dongle that is plugged into the OBD under the central rear air vents and as many buttons as you can think of for programming via bluetooth. You buy sets of stick on buttons. The App is really useful! It took me about 10 minutes to fit and I use it for regen control, Charge flap opening(I stuck it on the pillar inside the door for easy reach) , front bonnet opening and a few other simple functions (wiper control!!!) that would otherwise need me to fiddle around with the screen menus while driving. They also invented a smart knob last year and that would be a seriously useful accessory.
Oh yeah, have seen videos of them, it's really nice to see how many solutions come out of the Tesla community! Not only is the software ecosystem top notch, but the hardware limitations have a community building solutions for it. Neat!
@@clifais_media I think companies like ENHAuto etc are fixing the expensive design mistakes made by Tesla. Thus far I have added Sunshades, rubber mats, bluetooth buttons… I bought Tesla’s own mud flaps but they dragged on the ground even on standard 18” OEM wheels, so I binned them! Tesla need to pause and rethink their nonsense.
I honestly dig the minimalist mindset and the sandbox experience, but good to know there’s this many alternatives. I remember Apple being the most popular brand for accessories at CES, having never attended the event as a vendor, same with Tesla, so many accessories, no partnerships even brough to the table.
@@clifais_media it’s not ‘minimalism’. Tesla are gradually negating the driver, while never accepting that outside of the USA, their Autopilot is about as good as a neurotic learner driver on a bad day and FSD is widely unavailable, because it’s evidently dangerous. I agree with that decision. Removing well proven functionality eg.buttons, stalks, integral sunshades… without replacing them with better alternatives, is retrograde.
These decisions will be forgotten in 2-3 years and taken for standard, I think. Also, FSD is not ready for eastern european roads for sure 😂 Comma.Ai was on a good path but I think is falling somewhat behind, have you checked them out?
23:55 U are probably spot on with the assembly problem. Model X and S are still being produced in USA only. And they still have quality problems. Even after producing these cars for a years already. Model 3 and Y from China or germany have usually better build quality. Which is ironic since we used to make fun of chinese cars.
Noise while driving will decrease as the years go on for high production model Tesla’s. They’re only in the first decade of high production vehicles and their latest model 3 is spectacular. I mean it is a BEV so there’s no engine noise to drown out everything. Silence and comfort ability is key.

Yeah, the Model 3 I tested was a Shanghai build. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Agreed, the new Model 3 is perfectly acceptable for me, although I'd love to try it on the highway at some point. Thanks for watching my video!

Never buy a Tesla produced in the cursed Fremont factory.

You sound like an Israeli?
Afraid not, born and raised in Budapest :)
@@clifais_media wasn't really a compliment... budapest sounds much better :)
