Is Anger Root from the original keep on the borderlands? because there is a fan favorite Pathfinder 2E NPC Anchor Root from the Strength of Thousands adventure path. I'm thinking either the play on the original or vice versa. Either way, that's awesome.

Low Fantasy Gaming is one of my favorites. Tales of Argosa going all roll under is awesome. Brings it very close to The Black Sword Hack which is our favorite so far. Our next campaign is going to be with Tales of Argosa.

I state this from ignorance and assumption, so please grant me that… Also as a fan of old-school and rules-lite games (D&D B/X, OD&D especially by way of WB:FMAG, Fighting Fantasy as an rpg, recently mostly by Troika! but moreso via Spellzard!, and also RISUS…blah, blah). PC#1: I have leather armor and a couple of daggers and a lockpick kit….so I’m a cool slick ‘thief’. PC#2: I have plate armor and a sword and axe. I’m totes a badass warrior! Great. But….the game is so equipment dependent….so then this… PC#2: I buy a lockpick kit. Now I’m a badass warrior and just as good at being an awesome thief as PC#1. PC#1: 😕 (I guess I need better armor and weapons, then…) Then!….who cares?!?…. I love rules-lite…even ultra-rules-lite games….. But, sheesh….if just buying equipment puts a character equally in reach of whatever…..then every PC may as well be differentiated by name only. Not even RISUS messes nor causes this! Please tell me I’m wrong because, so far, this is all I’m seeing. And if the rules suggest simply ‘adhering’ or ‘honoring’ niches……then why be supposedly classless in the first place?….

I feel like maybe you've already covered it, but I don't remember. Have you seen The Visitor's Guide to the Rainy City? Well worth checking out if you haven't. Sort of along the same line as these.

Sorceror's enclave Nice. Oooo Skerples really liked Tomb of the Serpent King. Nice Multi-verse feel to the Epochrypha. The world without Shrimp. The crazy melty world. The troll dimension. .

Skerples doesn't get nearly enough credit or exposure. He is probably one of the best writers in the OSR. Magical Industrial Revolution is amazing, so is The Monster Overhaul.

Price is great for the Forlorn God. I'd probably try to plant seeds ahead of time. One of my complaints with Hickman's desert of desolation series is we were railroaded along into releasing an Efreeti and Genie who were massively dangerous and had to be dealt with afterwards. Simpler just not to release them. I'd have the wizard needing to provide more information to get the PC's on board. I'd like a chance for the party to figure out they didn't want to unchain this god. Im fleshing out some Wizard's towers so trials of Riao feels like an interesting idea mine.

Adobe has an option called show cover page. If you enable/disable that then you will get 1 map per 2 page spread! Nice reviews, thanks!

Great vid, I made it through! Made lots of notes and product searches for tenfoot pole reviews etc, pausing throughout my watch. Prob took me 5hrs to finish haha. I'm newish to OSR/NSR, started playing in an ongoing Hyborian themed Labyrinth Lord campaign a couple years ago and now I'm learning to DM Shadowdark (already DM 5E). So many great products for me to try with Shadowdark, thanks! 🤘
