Mansfield fan: It took Cloughy a while to figure you out, but we got there in the end. You've a fantastic squad and will no doubt win the league, we were just glad for the point at the end of the game with how we played first half. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Thank you very much for your comment Stuart which is greatly appreciated. It was a good game and fair play to your lads for the last half hour. In the end a draw was about right, but we were disappointed we didn't put the game to bed in the first half. Good luck to you for the rest of the season as well. We look forward to welcoming you and your fans to St.Andrew's later in the season. KRO!
Hi both it seems a disappointment if we don't win because of such a great start to the season but we all know what football's like. I don't think we have any worries we will have a few ups and downs but overall we will walk this league.KRO Rob.
Hi Guys really enjoy your podcasts. I'm a Stags season ticket holder, living in Birmingham last 30 years with part of family are Blues so I've lived both our sides ups and mostly downs! Great review of the game, very fair, balanced and most of all very respectful. You looked top class first half, we were missing our influential holding midfielder Reed who has been outstanding replaced with Maris making his first start but not up to speed. As for the celebrations at the end well it's another point towards safety. Clough has us so grounded, so long as four other teams are below us then anything else is a bonus. Unlike Blues, we've waited so long to be back in this league, we're just enjoying every minute. Both daughters born in Birmingham but devoted Mansfield fans, they've been through some hard times but absolutely loving it at the moment (I'm still waiting for Childline to knock on the door!) Good luck rest of season, I'm sure your quality will win this league.
Thank you Andy! A really great message that we fully respect. It's interesting that we've had a few comments from Mansfield fans and the expectation is survival as apposed to looking a little higher. I have no doubt with NC at the helm and that scrappy element to your game you will be just fine and higher up than most fans expect. Good luck for the rest of the season except for the return leg at St Andrews ;)
Nice review of the game boys, Draw a fair result, you could have won it and so could we.. Just glad we got you out the way and got something out the game... The stand on your left is currently being redeveloped.. Good luck for the rest of the season though I don't think you will need it..👍
Thank you very much for your comment Geoff which is greatly appreciated. It was a good game. We should have put the game to bed in the first half but fair play to your lads who had a real go for the last 30 minutes. If you play like you did for the latter part of the game you will do well this season. Good luck for the rest of the season. KRO!
Hi both. Again, 3 games in 8 days undone the Blues. Davies hopefully learning, that you cannot play 3 high tempo games in 8 days. Rotation is the way forward. Well done highlighting that fans are poor to criticise their own players. Thank you for a complete overview of the match.
Thank you very much for your comment Mikey which is greatly appreciated. It is a lot of games in a short period of time and give the high intensity we play you can see why a few may be a little jaded. We are pleased you are enjoying our podcasts. KRO!
Brilliant as always guys but just a note on the Man City comment, Man City may be incredible but they also are the hardest working side in the Prem according to the distance covered stats. My point being is the reason they are so good is not just the quality but the work ethic, and let's face it Pep is never afraid to rotate his squad, but as you said our gaffer is new to this and he's still learning on the job. KRO guys, respect 👊
Thank you very much for your comment David which is greatly appreciated. Another good point and to be honest I've been very impressed with our work rate this season. It is much better than previous seasons which is all down to our high fitness levels. I'm sure Chris Davies is learning every game as you point out. KRO!
Love this side and love the way we are playing.. Believe our possession and passing, wears out our opponents, but this didnt happen saturday and we were the side that looked tired.. Understand why and I'm confident that we bounce back in the league, with 2 home wins.. Also believe it is difficult to retain possession, have high passing completion by recycling the ball when the pass isnt on and expect to blow teams out of the water by scoring 5 or 6.
Thank you very much for your comment Paul which is greatly appreciated. We are playing some great football at the moment, it is just a case of converting more of our chances. We seem to leave the door open for teams to get back in games on occasions and Saturday proved that it can cost us points. KRO!
Lets all just take a step back, on another day Dykes finishes that sitter and we run off with the win. Mansfield are in form, we shut them down for an entire half the second half was a mess, but thats league 1 for you. We're still going to run away with this league with over 100 points... chilll.
Well said that man 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿Some of the bed wetting on social media when we do anything other than win (sometimes even WHEN WE win is embarrassing. This is statistically the best start to a season in our history. Chill, indeed!
I feel Davies as a new manager is slightly suffering from the “never change a winning team mentality” with certain players. He’ll learn to use this huge squad. Another huge point is we have played 8 of the top 12 and only 4 of the bottom 12. Its seems sometimes too easily forgotten what a brilliant start to the season we’ve had. KRO!!
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We have had a fantastic start to the season and we were always going to drop points in this division. As you point out we have already played many of the top half and we are still top, so things are looking good. KRO!
Not hitting the panic button at all. Yes we do need a little more rotation to conquer the fatigue factor on busy weeks. We're going to hit those road bumps on our journey but the luxury car will get there in the end! Also agree Dykes is wearing a Blue shirt and he is no Burke he just needs a goal and his confidence will go up. He still brings a unique set of tools to the pitch that we need at times. KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We are so used to winning that even a good away point seems like a disappointment. What had happened to us? Lyndon Dykes will come good. He just needs a bit more playing time and a goal and he will be an important player for us this season. KRO!
As you said we lack that killer instinct,-in all 3 games Huddersfield, Bolton and Mansfield,we were dominant and a second goal at that time, then its game over, and probabaly gone on to get more,-its not criticism as were top of the league and l,m very happy,-but sometimes we just overplay which is great to watch,-but we can do all that when the game is won,and thats what the aim has to be first,-then we can entertain,-enjoy your pod,KRO
Thank you very much for your comment Brian which is greatly appreciated and we are really pleased you enjoy our podcasts. We do need to take more of our chances just to kill off games and to give ourselves a little breathing space. It showed on Saturday what can happen if we don't. KRO!
Great game and a fair result, reckon our fans celebrated a draw like a win as we shouldn’t really be in with a sniff of a point considering the millions that you have spent, one player has cost you more than we have spent in our history !! Good luck for the rest of the season, you will probably spend a few more million in January’s transfer window so I guess the title is yours 👏👏NC is the best manager in league one 💙💛💙💛
I get that Paul. I think as Blues fans we aren't used to being that team that everyone wants to beat after being in the doldrums of the Championship for 10+ years. You are a determined and scrappy team that will do well this season with NC at the wheel. Good luck except for the return game at St Andrews!
Fair dos to Mansfield, they were worth their point at the final whistle. The had a few decisions against them they felt were soft which fired up the team and the crowd,we've been there many times ourselves. Will be interesting to see what side we put out for the cup games, I'm hoping he gives Paik and Iwita a breather and like you say,we have the quality to rotate the team. KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. I think we will see some of the fringe players in the cups and as you point out give some of the regulars a break. KRO!
I think the reaction online has been a little over the top. We’ve just played 3 teams in the top 10 in 7 days and picked up 7 points. That’s a really good return! Chance conversion is a little bit of a worry but at least we are creating chances - with the quality we have, it’s a matter of time before we start taking more of them!
Thank you very much for your comment Michael which is greatly appreciated. I agree and said that in the podcast, that seven points from the last three fixtures is a very good return. KRO!
We’re a little toothless at times, it’s clear we need to be sharper in the final third time for Stanno & Alfie to deliver . We need to get our front people where they are effective and comfortable.
Thank you very much for your comment Mark which is greatly appreciated. We do need to be more clinical and convert some of that possession and chances into goals! KRO!
We played 4th in the table, unbeaten in 5, should have gone in at least 2 up BUT Clough with his experience made 3 changes that benefited Mansfield. If the wall done it’s job then we just might of won. Happy at the end with the point! Still top, 3 points in front of second place! Get real!! KRO FEA 💪🏼🙏🏼😊
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Yes, there were lots of things that did not go out way as you point out, but Mansfield also came at us strongly in the last half hour, so like you I'm happy with the point. KRO!
I really enjoyed the first half performance. The fluidity of interchangeable movement was very pleasing on the eye. However, we didn’t make the most of the possession that we had. We lacked the quality and composure in the final third and you're absolutely right at 1 - 0 the game is far from over. The second half Mansfield were a different team. Clough is a seasoned manager and his experience was in clear evidence as you're absolutely right that those changes changed the game. I feel that we need to be better at adapting our game if plan A isn’t working. Despite our strong squad, in this game we struggled. Stansfield clearly wasn’t fit and Harris was far from match fit and i think he was back in the squad one or two games earlier than liked as we're a little thin on the ground. I don't bother going on X anymore. Some of the nonsense on there about Dykes in particular was ridiculous and totally unnecessary. As you rightly pointed out, Dykes didn’t have an awful game, he did a lot of things well. His movement at times was very good as was his hold up and link up play. As you rightly highlighted his role in the goal was a perfect example of what he brings to the table. As a centre forward he will be judged by the goals he scores and the chances he misses. But it's important not to ignore the good things he does. He just needs a goal and that will do him the world of good. He'll never be prolific but i do think we will get his fair share. We need to get some players back as that will help with rotating the team. I think there's an argument to suggest we needed to make changes for the Mansfield game but equally, we had a number of players not available. The bread and butter is the league and as much as we would all want to see us win against Fulham u21's i hope we do so by resting the ones most in need of and giving minutes to those most in need of. Let's get that gane out of the way first and then go from there. I do think that in the overall context of the game, a draw was the right and fair result and in the end a good one. We're certainly not running away with the league like so many people predicted. I totally agree that being humble and with great humility is the way we need to go. It's important to respect all of the other teams in League One as you've rightly said and i've lost count of how many times i've made this point, but we're a League One team. That's our current status, and for that to change, we have to ensure that we earn the right to get promoted back to the Championship. KRO 💙
Thanks Richard, lots of interesting points. I do agree as well that we need to find alternative ways to go at teams. Charlton really highlighted this to me. Nothing over the top or drastic here but just more in the arsenal against physical teams or those stubborn teams who put 11 behind the ball. We take the point and move onto the next one, KRO! :)
The stand on the left (Bishop Street) was condemned years...decades ago. We fell out of the Football League during a period of bad ownership had some hard times, the current owners said if Mansfield get promoted they will rennovate the Bishop Street Stand...which they are doing now.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Thank you also for the information. I loved your stadium and the atmosphere was also great especially after you scored the equaliser. I’m sure Mansfield will do well this season and good luck for the rest of the season. KRO!
I thought they rough us up in the 2nd half like you both said when they scored there tails were up. Made it a difficult game then. Enjoyed your podcast KRO 👍
Thank you very much for your comment Derek which is greatly appreciated. Yes, they were quite a physical team but fair play to them for the last 30 minutes. KRO!
I’ve seen different things regarding the fans reaction to the performance and result. Let’s be honest Lyndon Dykes is no Oliver Burke, he’s also no Emile Hesky, his performances/ contribution do need to improve, but let’s not write him off after 4 performances. As fans I think we do need to adjust our expectations. Seeing a point away from home in the Championship, when half our squad are freebies or trying to rebuild their careers, is a decent result, but we’re not in the Championship, we’re League One and had a budget 10X the rest of the league, players of championship level, so when we don’t win, we should see it as points dropped, particularly when we or our opponents are below par. Not being able to finish off games when we have so much of the ball has been one of our challenges, it hasn’t been a problem until now, but we’ve got to be more clinical.
I'm amazed that teams don't just roll out the red carpet and just let us walk the ball into an empty net 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. We already have a massive target on our back, and the attitude that we're just going to piss the league adds even more fuel to the fire of clubs wanting to beat us. I think we need to give a lot more respect to our opponents. Just because we have spent a lot of money and have the best squad in the league, that doesn't give us the devine right to take all 3 points. A draw against Mansfield was a fair result. We were the better side in the first half, but we failed to turn our possession into final product. 1 - 0 is always a dangerous lead and so it proved. I think we need to give credit to Clough for the changes he made at half-time and the impact that this had on the game. We can't just expect Mansfield and other teams to not try and find a solution to the problems we pose. Our main problem that we pose is the amount of possession that we have, but that's not going to guarantee we win every game if we attack and defend like we did. We've had a really good start to the league campaign, but so have a number of other teams, so I give credit to them. There's a lot of room for improvement with Blues and finding the right balance is one of them. Despite our strength and quality in depth, this has been tested with the number of players on the treatment table, which resulted in players coming back into the squad earlier than expected. For instance, Harris looked miles of the pace and a bit rusty. He probably came back into the squad a couple of games earlier than ideally planned because of the number of injuries we've picked up. We definitely need more than plan A as plan A doesn't always work, and so it proved against Mansfield. I feel Dykes has come in for a lot of stick and been made to be the villain of the piece. I think it's too easy to make him the scapegoat. As a centre forward, ultimately by more fans than not, judged by the number of goals he scores. However, I thought his movement, hold up and link up play was very good. He played a pivotal role in the build-up to Willumssons goal. It doesn't matter what players we have as it stands our current league status is we're a League One club. Promotion back to the Championship isn't a given, we have to earn the right. I think we need to take one game at a time, all this talk of how many points and how many goals we will or should score shows little to no respect and there's a real sense of entitlement setting in. I love what's happening at our club and the shift in mindset, but I don't want that to come at the cost of not being humble. KRO 💙
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. For the final half hour I thought Mansfield looked like a decent team at this level and although I also think we missed an opportunity to take the three points that in the end an away point will do. Lyndon needs more game time as he is currently third choice and he offers us a physical presence that we will need a lot throughout the season. I think he is an important part of our squad and he just needs that first goal to give him a bit of confidence. KRO!
They maybe 4th in the league, but they weren’t that great to TBH, had we performed to our levels we could have killed off the game. Look I’m not saying it’s going to define our season or we get on the boys back because of a draw. We shouldn’t be ashamed to have ambition or expectations, if we don’t we wont be going anywhere. We’ve got owners with high ambition and expectations and they have backed that up. There’s a fine line between having a winning mentality (which you need if you want to win the league) and being “entitled”, I for one am not entitled 😂, I don’t think you’ve got to just show up to win, but there’s nothing wrong with knowing if you turn up and perform you’ll probably take the 3 points. They’ll come a day when even on our best day we get beat, but that wont be in league 1. We’ve had a great start to the season, long may it continue KRO
@jamo98 ifs, buts and maybes. The fact is we drew. Because we weren't good enough to win. That wasn't all down to us. It was also because Mansfield found a way to change the game. I'm all for a positive mindset but let's just let our football do the talking and not all this talk of walking the league. Even our own captain fell foul of this massive mistake and that was Charlton's team talk done!! Fine line between confidence and arrogance. Mansfield deserved the draw. Football is played in many different ways to get a result. Football fans are very fickle, it can't and won't always go our way, and that's not because we didn't play well enough but because the opposition did. We didn't do our job well enough. That's part of the game and if we don't do that, we don't deserve to win. We were not good enough in front of goal and the defending for the Mansfield goal was poor, both in terms of giving the free kick away and the awful defending from the wall. Mansfield were the better team in the second half and so deserved their point. KRO 💙
good listen chaps. you totally bossed the first half. as i said on your pre match video, we have a good bunch of players whos workrate and talent never knows when its beaten. we will take a point and go from there as we have a tough november/december. its another point towards safety for us. just do us all a favour and stop wrexham somehow! Good luck for the rest of the season
Thanks Craig, I don’t think you have to worry about safety. No doubt you guys will be absolute fine with that level of battle and NC at the wheel. Good luck for the rest of the season 👍🏻👍🏻
Great podcast lads agree with everything you say about Dykes but one gripe about him missing the two sitters because I don’t think he’s had much game time but he definitely takes other people out the game and if he had been playing more consistently he would have scored at least one of them chances KRO
Great podcast as always lads. I just wanna say Laird was fantastic in that first half as was Keshi. We looked poor when they went off & Stanno. I thought TGH was awful when he came on though, especially when Mansfield had those 2 great chances on his side which Allsop saved both times & he was at fault for that long kick from their keeper when they guy nearly had the one on one as he missed the header just like he did for Charltons goal the other week. But if you had said we would get 7 points against Lincoln, Bolton & Mansfield I’d have bitten ya hand off. KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Its good to see Ethan Laird back that is for sure. He plays more of a right winger than right back. As you point out 7 points from the last three games is a great return. KRO!
to be honest that first half performance was the best in years same against bolton like you guys said we need to put our chance away and score alot of goals but il take a drew still top of the league the points are importnait for us kro
Thank you very much for your comment David which is greatly appreciated. We are playing some good stuff but we need to put games to bed when we are on top. Another point to the total and we move onto the next. KRO!
Hi both a weird game ,we should of been 3-0 up at half time , i thought Stansfield looked rushed , dykes I felt unbalanced the team , also he couldn't hit the water if he fell out of a boat , second half all over the shop but still could have scored ,in the end I was glad to hear the whistle, and take the point
Definitely a wake up call , they were the better team in the second half , chances wasted . It seems the better managers have sussed us out , but not a bad result , we won't win them all. KRO.
Thank you very much for your comment Paul which is greatly appreciated. Very true we will undoubtedly drop points throughout the season. Another good away point in the end. KRO!
Birmingham city looked the part, but didn't look £40m more expensive than us. Our most expensive player is £200k. But we both walked away with 1 point. That's why we were chuffed with it.
Thank you very much for your comment Jonathan which is greatly appreciated. It always makes us Blues fans smile when fans of other clubs talk about how much we have spent. It now appears we are up to £40m! The truth however is that our net spend is nowhere near that. We sold players as well and released another bunch in fact over 17 players went over last summer. I guess we can’t stop people speculating and I’m sure this time next week it will but up to £50m! KRO!
It's unreal that we have fans lambasting players. Dykes has not played competitively for a few games. He needs to build on his confidence. We've got a few games coming up which don't affect the league. A few fringe players could be used and rest their key players. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for your comment Mark which is greatly appreciated. That is true but I think Lyndon Dykes will provide to be an important player for us this season as he gives us a physical presence. He just needs a goal to give him some confidence. KRO!
It won’t go our way every single game but I do get peoples frustrations - we don’t half look devoid of ideas at times, for the talent we have we should be looking much stronger at times. Possession is well and good but if we do nothing with it then it’s worthless. We are doing fine right now though and I’m sure we will look great all season long. I do feel like we are not getting the best out of our front four lately, Stanno doesn’t look his best right now and neither does May. Thor is carrying the attack right now.
Thank you for your comment Lewis which is greatly appreciated. You are right about possession and this is something we spoke about in the podcast. We just need to turn more of that possession into chances and goals. At the end of the day we are 12 games into the season with a completely new squad and manager and they are all still learning as they go. We have done well so far and I’m sure we will continue to get even better. KRO!
So constructive criticism is part of the game, and I imagine that Dykes got the brunt of what was most probably just a sense of disappointment at not winning the game. However, as you say, we have the power to raise or destroy our players, and why we would want to do the latter after 13 years of atrocity is beyond me. The finishing is an area for development but I’d caution Blues fans to remember where we’ve come from before tearing down our own. Apart from the finishing, Dykes was effective: good movement, link up play, and hold up play. At half time, I said to my Dad that he was the right tool for this particular job. I do think that we have an issue that we need to address though: I don’t understand why May is not played in the 9, especially given that Dykes does, with Stansfield playing slightly deeper. May is the most prolific striker at this club, and the lack of game time, maybe even a loss in confidence, has restricted that sharpness. The guy needs to be playing regularly.
Thank you very much for your comment Jay which is greatly appreciated. Agree on both points and especially on Alfie May. He has to be played in the No. 9 position as that is where he is most effective by far.KRO!
Hi Gents .. RE: Lyndon Dykes strikers thrive off Confidemce .. He gets one Goal His game will change and will be smashing in worldies from 25-30 yards .. As Dad Says "While He wears the Blue shirt You have to back Him" Top comment KRO
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. He had not had a lot of game time since he arrived as he is third choice behind Jay and Alfie. As you point out he just needs a goal. He works so hard for the team but unfortunately he does not seem to get the credit for it. KRO!
Was a disappointing result. We failed to take the chances that we had. Second half, we were poor for most of the half. Two concerns. One we couldn't adapt to Mansfield going more direct, really showed the lack of pace we have in defense. The other is that we always play out from the back, far too predictable, Mansfield pushed up and put pressure on us. We rarely changed it up and played it long, doing so adds unpredictability. Both of these are issues we have had most of the season and have not addressed.
Thank you for your comment David which is greatly appreciated. In reflection we should have put the game to bed by half time but in the end it was another away point against a decent team. Chris Davies has been clear that he wants us to maintain our identity and keep doing what we are doing. This does make us a tad predictable however in most games it’s difficult to argue that what his is doing is working. KRO!
@@BCFCRoyalBlue I am not suggesting that we change away from trying to play out from the back, but that we don't only play that way. It just seems to overly limit ourselves. Plus we have already now told all the other teams exactly how we will be playing , so they know exactly what they will get. It seems like the Arsenal team that only wanted to walk the ball in to the net. At league one we will probably get away with it. But I doubt we will at Championship level. We certainly can't be so wasteful.
@@davidlewis8899 thank you David. Absolutely, your observations are what I see and most Blues fans also see so there is definitely plenty of room for improvement. I’m sure we will get there in the end. KRO!
Thanks mate. Interesting point and I don't know wether he possibly didn't want to stretch him too far as he's just back from injury and might not be back to full match fitness just yet. Thanks for commenting, KRO! :)
@@BCFCRoyalBlue while he was at his best we looked comfortable then before he tired out just after the first Mansfield goal we looked vulnerable down that side
❤ YES GARY AND MATT RESPECT TO YOU BOTH YES 1-1 BUT WE NEED NEW PLAYERS IN JANUARY GOOLKEEPR AND WEIGHER'S MAYBE A STRIKER.....NEXT MATCH TUESDAY 🌛 NIGHT AT ST .ANDREWS .....FULHAM IN THIS CUP AND ON SUNDAY A FA CUP MATCH AWAY 👉 AT 12.30 pm ON TV ....👉 ITV 1....YES GARY AND MATT KEEP RIGHT ON ALL THE BEST 👍 😉 😜 😃 ....
Do you think the problem was CD didn't rotate the squad enough? It was the third game of the week and Clough's changes at half time gave them extra energy while our players which included some which had been away on International duty simply lacked the same fizz. I would have played Yokoyama, May, Leonard and Sanderson. I agree with you on the OTT reaction to Dykes miss. We do seem to be getting some obnoxious fans with entitled attitudes. We need to earn every point and have no God given right to be smashing small "tinpot" clubs. While we have only ourselves to blame for not putting the game to bed and awful defending from the free kick fair play to Mansfield for the fight they showed. They are where they are for a reason.
Thank you for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Chris Davies is learning in the job and I do think he will use the squad more when we have a lot of games in a short period of time. I think we will see Lyndon Dykes in the cup games coming up and hopefully he can bag himself a goal and give him a bit of confidence. KRO!
we are easy to read and predictable in how we are going to play . Mansfield showed the rest of the league how to cancel our game plan. for the first half you just have to play without burning all your energy and in the second half just be first to the ball using all the energy you have. stansfield and may should not be playing out wide their strengths are down the middle getting in the end of every cross and scoring.. we need a plan B.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. It was hard so see how Mansfield would get back in the game after the first hour, but in the end a draw was about right. KRO!
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We are only allowed to name 7 subs in league games and for the last few games Alfons has not made it onto the bench. I think he will start tonight however in the Bristol Street Motors trophy. KRO!
Hi guys I thought it was a good point, also it shows that other teams of quality get at you physically, as I said before nigel is a cute manager, we will move on and probably give someone a spanking soon, great show as always guys KRO.
Thank you very much for your comment Steven which is greatly appreciated. As you point out, in the end it was a good away point. Could have been more but it wasn't to be on this occasion. KRO!
I feel we should play may as the 9. Stanno outside will give the balance as trying Alfie may as a 10 does not work. But loving the abuse from other teams and the attention. Kro
Thank you very much for your comment Tony which is greatly appreciated. We completely agree Alfie has to be played in the No.9 which is where he is most effective. KRO!
Thanks for commenting David. We have said for a few podcasts now that May should only be at #9. He just doesn't look comfortable anywhere else. I trust Davies to get the right mix but for me Alfie is up top every time, KRO! :)
Oh don’t get me started on Dykes! 🙄 No situational awareness just lashing out at the ball. Doesn’t win any aerial duels. Should have put the game to bed in the first half! Felt like a loss because we missed too many chances! Fair play to Mansfield!
@donnamathieson-u5u Don't get you started.... you started 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think you're being very harsh and extremely unfair. I think you need to watch the game again and look at the contributions he made. Our goal came from brilliant play by Dykes. I'm backing him to come good in front of goal. The last thing he needs is fans getting on his back. KRO 💙
@donnamathieson-u5u delighted for Dykes to get his first goal for Blues. It wasn't an important goal with regard to the result, but it was so important for Dykes and confidence. You can tell how much he is liked and valued by his teammates and the manager and his staff team. It's important that we show Dykes and the rest of the squad the love. This group of players aren't like squads of recent years. There's a real togetherness and a want and desire to do well. Absolutely delighted for Dykes. He really needed that goal, and he deserved it, too. We all get frustrated sometimes. It's just how we manage that and let it out. Some of the utter nonsense said about Dykes was ridiculous and totally unnecessary and most definitely not true. He's a decent player. He's our player and he wants to do well, so let's get behind him, not on his back. KRO 💙
Thank you for your comment which is greatly appreciated. He was but I believe he is on his way back. I think he is back in training again but not quite ready to return. KRO!
I thought they were allowed to be more physical because the reff was letting especially against Thor some horrible challenges piggy backs on him 2 footed challenges !!. Not to take anything away from Mansfield they can only play the ref but come on. It's hard to use our football when a ref gave us nothing.
Thank you very much for your comment Duncan which is greatly appreciated. The ref certainly didn't help and seemed to let a lot of poor challenges go unpunished. As you point out though, fair play to Mansfield for the last half hour. KRO!
I'm gutted! We're going to have to play much better teams in the Championship next season. However one game, or two if you count Charlton,😉 don't make a season. Credit to Nigel Clough for finding a way to play against us.
Thank you very much for your comment Geoff which is greatly appreciated. I think this result and especially the last half hour will focus the players and I'm sure they will learn from this. At the end of the day it is a good away point against a decent team, although it does feel like it could have been more based on the first hour. KRO!
@geoff6942 it's understood now. Just poorly written 😉 I guess. Just tongue in cheek 😉 understood 😆😁🤣🤣 I really hope you're right, though. Obviously, because it means we've bounced back at the first time of asking and hopefully as champions as I had a cheeky bet that we'd win the league, which would be nice personal extra for me 😁. Obviously, I appreciate that we could go up second or via the playoffs, but hopefully, we will win the league. KRO 💙
Sorry but Mansfield had a a few chances yes every team will, did they deserve a draw no, we dominated both halves we were the more attacking team and created the most chances admittedly we didn’t put them away so really we threw it away rather than they gained a point, it was just one of them games it’s one we chalk up to experience and we make sure we beat them when the come back to ours also dykes is not a bad player he just needs a bit more game time
Fair enough mate. It didn't look like we dominated that second half from where we were standing to be honest after the equaliser. We had a few chances yes but wasn't to be. We take the point and move on. All about opinions so thanks for sharing mate, KRO! :)
The reason it looked like we had won the fa cup, was that you brummie s were supposed to be going to wipe the floor with us. Mmmm. Don't think it was like that..... DO YOU... 😅
Thank you for your comment Alan which is greatly appreciated. Despite what fans from other clubs want to believe the vast majority of Blues fans do not expect any game in this league to be easy. We have been used to years of neglect from previous owners and struggling in the Championship so believe me when I tell you that we are used to disappointment and for the first time in a very long time it’s nice for us to have a decent team and a decent manager. Fans from other clubs will continue to dislike us and to be honest we can’t change that and it is of no concern to us. We get accused of being arrogant alot but I would respectfully ask to to read your comment and then read my comment and ask yourself who out of the two of us is being arrogant. I wish you and the Mansfield fans all the best for the rest of the season. KRO!
Davies should remember the ‘what a waste of money’ chant from the Mansfield supporters and remind the team before we take the field against them at St Andrews !

KRO!
Top stuff guys. KRO 💙
Thank you very much for your comment Tommy which is greatly appreciated.
KRO!
100% agree and if we can see it, I guarantee that CD is already coming up with the solution.. KRO
Lets all just take a step back, on another day Dykes finishes that sitter and we run off with the win. Mansfield are in form, we shut them down for an entire half the second half was a mess, but thats league 1 for you. We're still going to run away with this league with over 100 points... chilll.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We said Jack. KRO!
Good response, Jack.
KRO!
I’d play Dykes in the next two games a good possibility he will score in one if not both games and give his confidence a boost.
Thank you very much for your comment Terry which is greatly appreciated. That is what I would do as well and I think that will happen.
KRO!
A point on the road is OK as long as we keep winning at home we should be alright, agree we need to be more clinical in front of goal
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. On reflection it was a good away point against a decent in form team.
KRO!
Great show again lads keep it up 👍
Thanks Gazza, really appreciate the comment and kind words mate, KRO! :)

KRO!
@@BCFCRoyalBlue no problem
Our opponents were below par? They're 4th in the league mate, it really isn't that bad a result 🤷♂️
Thanks Darren, greatly appreciate the comment mate. KRO! :)

Thank you very much for your comment Tony which is greatly appreciated. We definitely need to put our chances away when we are on top! KRO!
Thanks for commenting mate which is greatly appreciated, KRO! :)
For perspective on Dykes, fans should remember that not all that long ago we spent £2m on Sam Cosgrove and £1m on Jonathan Leko.
KRO!
I was going in expecting a loss to this game but luckily got a draw well played tho brum
Thank you very much for your comment Harry and which is greatly appreciated.
KRO!
The turning point was when laird went off
Thanks mate.
Thank you very much for your comment Paul which is greatly appreciated. Up the Blues! KRO!
Stop SHOUTING in your replies 😅😂
KRO!
Would we have taken 7 from 9 points in a week? of course we would have.
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. Exactly. That is a great return given the teams we have played! KRO!
Where was Sampsted and when do you think he will be rotated into the squad? Cheers from Reykjavík, Iceland . 😊
Thank you very much for your comment which is greatly appreciated. We are only allowed to name 7 subs in league games and for the last few games Alfons has not made it onto the bench. I think he will start tonight however in the Bristol Street Motors trophy. KRO!
Thanx @@BCFCRoyalBlue 😊
KRO!
Our proven goal scorer at this level Alfie May should play up top ! Obviously, surely?
Thanks for commenting David. We have said for a few podcasts now that May should only be at #9. He just doesn't look comfortable anywhere else. I trust Davies to get the right mix but for me Alfie is up top every time, KRO! :)
Oh don’t get me started on Dykes! 🙄 No situational awareness just lashing out at the ball. Doesn’t win any aerial duels.
Should have put the game to bed in the first half!
Felt like a loss because we missed too many chances! Fair play to Mansfield!
Thanks Donna, appreciate the comment. KRO! :)
@donnamathieson-u5u Don't get you started.... you started 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think you're being very harsh and extremely unfair. I think you need to watch the game again and look at the contributions he made. Our goal came from brilliant play by Dykes.
I'm backing him to come good in front of goal. The last thing he needs is fans getting on his back.
KRO 💙
@ I know I apologise! Awful just frustrating coming out
@donnamathieson-u5u delighted for Dykes to get his first goal for Blues.
KRO 💙
Is juke injured?
KRO!
@@geoff6942 I didn't know that we were already promoted? 🤔

@@richardpincher8936 Tongue in cheek comment understood!
@geoff6942 it's understood now. Just poorly written 😉 I guess. Just tongue in cheek 😉 understood 😆😁🤣🤣
I really hope you're right, though.
What game were you watching mate ?? Dominated both halves ?? really ??
Thanks for commenting Joe, greatly appreciated. I enjoyed what he said after the game about that. If you didn't read then check it out 😃😃
