Brilliant video. 😂🎉❤
Thanks 😊
What kind of elastic cord did you use for the corners?
Just regular cord bought in a hoppy shop
Great great great review of this tent. Like others before me have said. Thank you!
Thanks very very much
I think CS UL2 is useless for 2 people, unless they both use narrow pads, so you need UL3 for 2 persons if buying Big Agnes. Other brands offer 50"" width true 2-person tents such as Durston X-Mid or Mountain Hardwear Strato both of which are roomy enough for 2 wide pads plus gear, and are over a pound lighter than this CS UL3. Also the copper spur orange is an ugly color. I don't want that.
Yes that’s why I got the 3 person version
Great review (best I've found on this tent)....Thanks!
Thanks 😊
I’m putting you in charge from now on.
Thanks 😊
3:20 hi. What do you use to charge the powerbank at that speed?
Its a Huawei charger and it weighs 43 grams, 😊
Super pro and super funny, I laught sooo much ! And I got the info I needed, thanks!
Glad that the video was helpful and funny 😄
Very nice
Thanks 😊
Hi, nice video; are the down jacket and versalite also in medium?
Thanks- the down jacket is medium and the verselite is large
Thank you for your review. This is the most completely review and answers all of my questions
You are welcome and thank you for your feedback
Thank you for your review!
You are welcome
hi Hans! i'm new to the x-mid, these are great tips. i couldn't find the sea to summit ground control guy lines that you mention in your video. when i search for ground control, the blue stake/pegs come up. where can i get something like that?
Thanks I think you can get it from Seatosummits website
I have just purchased this tent. I'm glad to have watched your video, everyone raves about this tent so much that I would not have expected any condensation. Now I will not feel let down.
Glad that the video was helpful and thank you for your feedback 😊
Hi. Is your jacket size on the inside tag a medium European or Japanese? Montbell European Medium is usually equal to Japanese Large.
Its a medium European
Does the xmid 2 solid work alot better than the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 in storms? How are you liking it compared too the Copper Spur 2? Thank you for your videos!
Yes the X-Mid is much better in stormy conditions There’s more interior space in the Copper Spur
@hanskirk-hiking9697 does the xmid solid seem more durable and long lasting than the copper?
yes the material is thicker and more durable
Hello Hans Kirk, I love your content and I have a question. I'm between two tents. The Durston x-mid 2p or the two from Gossamer Gear, since you have tried both? Which one do you advise me from your experience. The third option would be for none hahaha. Thank you very much for your interesting content. Regards.

Thanks for your nice comment I would choose the X-Mid because it’s a double wall tent The condensation in The One and Two is terrible
@ Thank you very much Hanks for responding so quickly. Your answer is of great help to me. I imagined it, but I wanted to know your opinion. Thank you very much!! Greetings!! Good road in your life!
You are welcome 🤗
I thought I was mad, weighing every tiny thing I carry, thank you for letting me think I am normal. Subscribed
Ha ha welcome to the weight watchers
Excellent video! Fun editing and loved seeing the various angles. Take care!
Thanks for your reply and take care
Amazing video. Make more please. And how is the x mid solid in summer heat?
Thanks very much and yes it could be a interesting video about the solid in summer heat
Hi,do you use a footprint to protect the base. I only camp on grass so I’m hoping I won’t need one.
Hi Captain 🧑✈️ No I never use a footprint and I have never experienced a puncture A footprint only ad weight to your backpack You just need to “clean” the ground for sticks and stones
@ thank you 👍
Hope you could use my advice 😊
This is such a great video. I really appreciate it. Thank you!
I really appreciate you nice comment, thanks 😊
Thank you so much, great hacks
You are welcome
Hi Hans, I is so good to see another brilliant and informative video. But it is your lovely guardian dog 🐶 who makes your video to the top.
Hi Lars Thanks for your nice message and I should say hallo from Ulla 😊
🥰😂🤍🖤🤎💜💙💚🧡❤💛💖
From my heart thanks 😊
Awesome pov
Thanks 😊
Hi Hans. I’ve been looking forward to your next video :) Will you be getting the X-Dome? I have mine on pre-order and it should arrive soon. I think I will have to sell my X-mid 1 to justify it 😂
Thanks, yes I probably will get the X-Dome Lucky you - it must be one of the first to arrive
I have the Xmid pro 1 ...and I love it.... All the models of this tent (1,2,pro, regular, solid and +) are stunning in all aspect. The new free-standing model too. Great review!
I have been in contact with Dan and he said there’s a dynema version of the X-Dome in the pipeline
Durston design, Dog-tested and approved! 💌
Yes Ulla like the design and it was could
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Kent
In denmark we are not aloud more than a 3 persons tent as to regulations. the 1-2-3 rule is a killer. My and my wife cant go camping in the woods with a 4 persons tent. 1-2-3 is: 1 night stay, max 2 tents max 3 persons tent. So a Pomoly 4 dome with 2 persons is illigal. A Nortent 4 aswell. Hans Kirk, do you know if a hot tent is ligal in free tenting areas. Im thinking a Tent stove is not open fire. Wood camping stealh style whit a tentstove in Denmark, is that possible? Thanks for your many great videos and reviews. Skål :)
Hi Ronald I’m not sure that a hot tent is allowed in woods were tents are allowed Most of the time I’m stealth camping Maybe you could go to Sweden 🇸🇪 Thanks for your comment
Excellent stuff, love my Durston, and got my tarp following your advice! Thank you from Ireland!
Thank you from Denmark I use the tarp regularly it really helps with condensation
@ plus a place to chill when it rains, and it rains here a lot! 😂
We also have a lot of rain 🌧️
I’ve been trying to find a video for the pasrñt few days showing this exact level of detail for the interior of x mid 1. But seeing here how the sloping side feels is enough to know the 1 person will trigger my claustrophobia. Thanks for sharing just in time!
Yes the sloping sides is a problem but not for one person in the two person tent ⛺️ Ha ha 😆
Hej Hans.
Thank you! As always, great. I was just looking for something to complement my X-Mid 1 for hikes with a partner.
You are welcome and thank you for your comment
Hello Hans, great video and useful tips, thanks for sharing, I will use them ! I like the way you shake your head at the end of explanations !😊
Ha ha 😂 thanks
Pleasure, forgot to notice that all your videos are very nice, you know what you’re talking about, so enjoyable ! Many thanks !
Thanks David that means a lot to me 😊
Thx Hans!! 🇧🇷🇩🇰
Thanks Thiago 🇧🇷🇩🇰
Love my xmid solid🔥 @durston
Yes its a great tent
@ best I‘ve had to this day… weight, quality, durability, room👌 only time I use an alternative is, if I need a freestanding one in rough grounds
The X-Dome is coming
@@hanskirk-hiking9697 its already there😉 but I love my msr as well😉 not able to throw out dollars all the time✌️
@@hanskirk-hiking9697 the gossamer gear THE ONE is a longtime favorite as well, only issue, more condensation at times👌
😊Suck a great video!
Thanks 😊
today is NATIONAL TAKE A HIKE DAY here in the US, so I wanted to find some videos to watch about hiking with dogs (because I'm too lazy to actually take a hike)😅😅
Ha ha 😅 happy hiking 🥾
Not sure why the thumbnail is of the grey model (Bikepacking version) but it a different version on the video.
It’s olive green model of the tent ⛺️ You can see them together in one of my other videos about the Copper Spur HV UL tent
Very thorough review, thank you
Thanks very much
Sure miss your hiking videos, Hans. Hope all is well with you! 🙏
Hi Joanne thanks for your feedback I’m working on a new video
Hi Hans, Stupid question: do you have any idea of the diameter of the strings you use? 1mm, 2,5mm? I 'm completing my purchases following your clever tips. hahaha
My guess is 1,5 mm
I love these golden northern lights ♥ I've had this little lantern for many years, it's definitively a great addition to the solo camper gear. Even better if you have a headlamp with warm light, it makes a significant difference when comes the time to relax in your tent. Don't expect a perfect beam, but consider that this is the most practical diffuser you can get.
Thanks for your feedback
It makes so much fun to watch your videos 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks very much
Excellent set up!
Thanks
@ I’m definitely going to sort a small tarp out! Looking at the Helikon Tex small super tarp 220 by 250!
Just looked up your tarp - excellent choice
@ thank you for your reply, I will get one so!
You are welcome 🤗
I destroyed a £500 vaude in the wind, the fact is there isn’t just ‘one ‘ tent that does it all and ticks every box . No camping next year as I have other plans but maybe the following year . And hopefully a new tent . Sweden is somewhere I’d love to explore
When you are destroying things your not sitting on the couch ha ha Thanks for your comment
Great review
Thanks so very much
