One of my first baby sitters is still a huge part of my life and my mom's 4 decades later. I've heard the story of my mom telling her several times no smoking around her daughter when they met the 1st day. Later the connection was made she had just dropped her husband off at a pub or something prior to that.

Where can I take CPR courses or training for baby sitting?

This is long because it has a bunch of additional ideas. I was a nanny for 10 years. We made marble run roller coasters with boxes, tp tubes and paper towel tubes. Anything you can do with outside chalk, you can do with masking tape on carpet or floors. I buy it in bulk. Make forts with plastic straws and masking tape. Roll up socks into doughnuts and crawl around on the floor to play sock dodgeball. Get scouring pads from dollar store, cut them in half. Now you have easy card houses. They stick together well unlike cards and they are the same size almost cut in half. They also take up almost no space. You can get a pack of 10 colorful ones from temu or dollar tree for under $2. They keep kids busy for hours if you have a bunch. Plus, they are great for long car rides. Get a cookie sheet from dollar tree and adhesive magnet sheets. Print out different characters and buildings and game pieces. Now you have a very versatile magnetic activity board in minutes. You can also bring paper, markers and the magnetic sheets and have the kids make their own magnets for the activity board. The best way to come up with different games with what you have is to start thinking in basic shapes. So, if you want to play golf, break that game down. I need something to act as a hole (to put a ball in or under) and ball (a light weight sphere of some sort) and club (a long stick or cylinder of some kind, small cylinders are great for crawling golf). If I make tents with hardcover books, those could be the "holes" because it can have a thing "in/ under it." I can use a small ball, ping pong ball or wadded up paper as the ball because that is a light weight spherical shape. Oh, we can use the broom as a club. If they are young kids, how can I adapt the broom so the can still use it as a club? Oh, I can take the handle off and have them play on their hands and knees. Etc. Need to rest a minute? Give them each a bag of 100 stickers and ask them to decorate you. You will know if a kid has wandered off because you'll stop feeling their lil hands put stickers on you.

Just use oil. It slides right out.

How would I start building babysitting/childsitting experience? I would go for looking over 4-7 year olds, since I would not be comfortable dealing with very young children, I’m 14 and would be 15 in the time when I would want to start building experience I sadly don’t have any friends with younger kids, neither do my parents friends, I also don’t have cousins

What do I do if I don’t know anyone who has little kids/reachable to me cause I can’t travel out of city And my parents/their friends also have relatively old kids I‘m 14, and would be 15 when I’m looking to do a job, I really like working with kids and I would love to gather some experience in general. It doens’t need to be a sitter job, just any job to work with younger kids

Really? I have a fear that I get a kid who is so full of energy and my introvert self can't match or hold up my energy long enough to satisfy them 😅

I’m new to you just started babysitting. I’m not sure if if it’s for me or not. It seems more complicated than it should be with parents expectations so much I have a question please : is it possible for 2 1/2 year-old to be playing five hours straight --after preschool all day.??? I babysit her 3 to 8pm a the grandparents pick on me all day long not to do screen time- even though I do 10 minutes after bath 10 minutes after food and 10 minutes before I leave -as she loves the songs twinkle twinkle we do songs together nothing but educational when I get home end of the day, I feel stressed from them I brought it up with the mom and dad. They said it’s fine. But the grandparents say no How do I handle this one? ? Thank you very much

How so I hold 2 babies at a time? I have a babysitting job tomorrow at 8:45am to 2:30pm with 2 babies one 5 month old and one two month old baby and I need to know how to hold two babies at a time bcuz I’m not used to holding more than one baby at a time😅
