Do you have any videos on the moms who babysit so they can bring their kids to work? This was almost never done where I used to live, but it's pretty standard where I live now. I know Laura from Nanny/Parent Connection just covered this. I really don't think they should be paid the same rate as they would if they didn't bring a kid, unless maybe the child is MUCH older, such as a 10 year old only brought on school breaks.
I really want to be a babysitter but I’m too scared to ask anybody, I’m also kind of young-the bare minimum of the legal age in my state, so I don’t know if people will trust me. What should I do?
I started at 11yrs old. I've always had love for babies/young kids. Im the youngest sibling so I couldn't start by babysitting my siblings then my parents recommend me.(I recommend doing that if you have younger siblings) I started without trying. I met a family at a local park and i've been babysitting for them since! Definitely have your parents recommend you to friends and facebook groups. Even if you are a mothers helper (babysitting with the mom there) that is a great thing to mention to other families. You can even build up trust with the parents and start babysitting. Then have them mention you to their friends! Build up trust by having the parents monitor you with their kids!
@@Dream.Scape.Soundsss ok ty, I only have an older brother but I can ask my mom to recommend me
I think Julianna nailed it! She gave awesome advice!
Such good advice! Keep it up!
Have you heard of "mother's helper"? It's intended to be when a parent hires you to help out, but they are still home and thus you get training on the job. I did this with my own mother and grandmother helping to watch my cousins. Then in 7th or 8th grade I got my first family because a girl who was in 4th grade from my church dragged me over to her mom and asked her to hire me as their babysitter. Now I'm middle aged and I work as a nanny.
I hope this mom pays her nanny top notch lol high maintenance 😅
Lol She does. She's a great mom.
