My favorite ages to work with are newborns-2yrs old. I've always had a "motherly instinct" to care and hold younger children, which lean me towards that age range. My least favorite ages to work with are 5yrs+, since they tend to become more independent and try to reason with you. I'm so glad you're doing this giveaway, i've watched you from the very beginning and always wanted a babysitting bag full of your stuff!!❤
Hi! I love working with newborns due to their snuggles! I love that they just curl up in your arms and can sit there for hours! Stay tuned today at 3pm for the announcement for the winner of the babysitting bags!
My favorite age to work with is 0-3. They are so young and precious. The giggles and smiles are so cute!! All the kids of this age always listen to me and if they don’t right away, it’s easy to coax them in a fun way. I also have a lot of experience with children of this age. My least favorite age to work with is probably 8-11. They usually don’t like to listen or they think that they’re grown. They are finding themselves and usually that includes being disrespectful. It’s also hard to tell them no or get them to do things they don’t want to. They are so sweet but just not my favorite. 😅
I LOVE baby giggles, they are so sweet and they can light up a room! Those older ages can be tough, especially when they are learning how to push boundaries! Stay tuned at 3pm for the winner announcement for the babysitting bags!
@@LydiaKutzBabysittingTips I’m so excited! I’ve just started venturing out into my own solo business, (I work in childcare at my church,) and so I want to start babysitting for families outside of that. I gave out 5 flyers yesterday to moms who have young children at my school, and they all seemed really interested in my services. I watch you all the time for tips on how to grow my business and also for things like craft kit ideas! 😁
This is so exciting to hear! That is awesome, let me know if you come across anything you would like a video to be done on or if you need any additional advice as it is. I am so happy for you!
Soo I love all ages of children , I believe we can learn something from each age group. If I had to pick a favorite I would say the ages 1 to 3 are my favorite. It’s such an important time and I absolutely love this age group because they are very curious and I love to play with them. Also I love all of your videos thank you so much , they have helped me learn and grow as a nanny.
You are so right about those ages! The first 5 years of a child's life is most important! They learn a lot of things very quickly and sometimes we as babysitters help with that! Stay tuned at 3pm for the winner announcements for the babysitting bags!
Hi! I think that each age group is special in their own way, and they all have potential! Although, I would say that I especially love working with toddlers or from ages 2-4, because they are just so genuine and playful in their own ways). To answer your second question, I don’t have a least favorite group at all! Even though sometimes the older groups think they know it all, I still love them!
I agree! Each age group has something wonderful to offer you just have to engage with them correctly. Stay tuned at 3pm for the winner announcement for the babysitting bags!
So excited!! My favorite age to work with is 3-6 because they really start using their imagination with the stories they tell and the games they play. My least favorite age is probably 10 - 11 because they usually do not want to interact with me much and would rather play video games (which is understandable but gets boring for me haha!).
I have a client that I babysit for who's child is 10 and wants nothing to do with me (not the kind of the kid who likes engagement). I have talked with the parents just to make sure they understood I have tried to engage them and keep them of electronics, they said they totally understood and not to worry about it! Some kids just like their space! Stay tuned at 3pm for the winner announcement of the babysitting bags!
My favorite age to work with is probably younger kids ages 1 to 4 because I just love young kids and it’s just so fun to like play with them and see what they do with their imagination and they’re so cute My least favorite ages to work with or probably 8 to 10 because since I’m 12 I’m close to their age and they don’t take me seriously
I love seeing where their imagination takes them as well during those ages! I agree, when I first started I didn't watch anyone over the age of 6 because they wouldn't listen to me because we were so close in age! Stay tuned today at 3pm for the announcement of the babysitting bag winners!
I love babysitting ages 1-8 because it's much easier to babysit. At least for me. And I hate babysitting babies because they are more difficult to take care of.
Hi Lydia, I love your channel! The things in your videos are tried, tested and true! My favorite age to work with is 6-9 month old babies because they can support their own heads usually, but still want to be held and carried. My least favorite age to work with is probably 7-10 year old kids, because they can be super testy and are smart enough to reason with you about why they think you are wrong about decisions you may make.
Hi! 6 - 9 month old's are so much fun, they are learning EVERYTHING but are not fully independent yet which is where the snuggles come in! Stay tuned for the announcement of the winner of the babysitting bags today at 3pm!
My favorite age to work with would probably be 1 year olds because I really enjoy working with younger kids! My least favorite age to work with would be older kids because I am closer in age to them so they don’t take me as seriously 😂.
When I had just started babysitting (at age 12) I did not like babysitting anyone older than age 6 for that exact same reason! They never took me seriously because we were so close in age! Stay tune for the announcement of the winners today at 3pm!
Hi Lydia I think you are amazing and you have helped me so much to build my confidence in babysitting!! I love the designs of the bags especially the its a babysitting thing!! I wish i could enter but sadly i live in the UK :(
thank you so much for everything and all of your advice!! Is it possible to give a video on how to keep different age groups entertained including boys and girls as one of between the ages 2-12 ?? Thank you so much again!!
I am so glad to hear the gain in confidence! I am sorry you weren't able to enter the giveaway! I am not sure I completely understand your question, do you need advise on things to do with a group of kids ages 2 - 12 with a combo both boys and girls?
My favorite age to work with is 5-6 because they have an amazing imagination and my least favorite is 2 because they always want to do everything on their own and that can result in a mess 😂
Hey! Two year old's can be a tough age and things do get pretty messy! Stay tuned today at 3pm for the announcement of the winners for the babysitting bag!
Hi Lydia, I have been babysitting for almost 3 years now, but did have a question regarding babysitting. I am doing an interview over the phone for a new family that I am interested in babysitting for. They have a 6 month old. What questions do you recommend I ask to the parents?
Hi! I would ask all the same questions you would in person! I like to ask what they look for in a babysitter, what days/hours they are looking for help/How often are they looking to have a date night? Are they planners or do they like to do things last minute? What does a normal routine look like for their child? What are their parenting style and discipline styles? What are their long term child care? (This is more for if your working for them more as a nanny then a babysitter). I also like to ask about the child's personality (I know 6 months is young but the do start to develop a personality and parents can see it!), does he/she like to get outside often or is she more into reading and looking at books? Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Do the babysitting bags have pockets at all or are they just large bags?
They do not have any other pockets.
Hey is this still available
Unfortunately the give away is over! I’m sorry!
