Just a guy stuck in the city but a farmer at heart. I garden, raise chickens, rabbits and worms, all on 5,000 sqft of space. I started this channel to pass information that has taken me years to accumulate in the hopes that others will be able to easily find answers, inspiration and knowledge.

Horizontal migration worm bin
มุมมอง 16K10 ปีที่แล้ว
I've been wanting to do make one of these for a few months, last week the right confluence of events allowed me to do just that. A horizontal migration worm bin works along the same principle as a stacking system but instead of adding trays of feedstock and the worms migrating up, I add food to a side chamber and the worms migrate to the side. It allows more surface area because the weight is n...

Thank you, this is exactly what I need. I found your video very useful and on time.
Use crushedbcharcoal on ur rabbit manure mixed with water wait for 2 weeks to 1 month..trust me its far more superior..activated biochar via rabbit manure is exceptional for soil fertility and will not broken down for even a thousand years..think of thr ancient soil of the amazon terra preta
Great video! Thanks!
Great info! Ty.
Thank you sir I like your video
"Make sure you keep your hands clean after applying the bag balm, for biosecurity reasons" *squirts out too much ivermectin* "We're just gonna put that back in the bottle, contaminate the rest of the medicine with what might have been on the banana peel". You could've just spread the extra on the rest of the banana peel, cut it into smaller pieces, then given it out to others as a precaution.
Thanks 😊
Great video with great explanation!
Which ivermectin did you use and which one is safe from the tractor supply website?? I need to get it asap. There’s the Equine ivermectin (apple flavored) and Ivercare ivermectin? The other ones have other stuff in it. Does anyone have a link to one they used on their bunnt
Corn bread with green!
where do you get them?
So, I rescued a baby Lionhead bunny who was neglected & discovered he had fur mites which has now caused ear mites. I always try natural remedies first. So, I coated his spots in in Organic Canola oil as it was all I had on hand. That just gave me a greasy bunny cause he couldn't groom the oil out. Very, very reluctantly I have him a warm bath & blew dry his fur. Then, I gave him a few dust baths with Diatomaceous Earth. It stopped his itching instantly & the redness between his ears faded, but the mites are fighting back. This morning he started scratching his ears & shaking his head. Now, I'm reaching for the big guns. I'm trying the Ivermectin & I'll treat him for an inner ear infection with 1 Basil Leaf twice daily for 10 days. Word to the wise...if you give your rabbit hay or use wood bedding, throw both in the freezer for 72 hours to kill any mites. My poor baby, but he's eating, drinking, getting the zoomies & doing binkies. I'm very lucky.
Thanks
My only question now is how to safely clean my bunnies who look greasy and manky as heck from the Bag Balm.
Thank you!!
We have always got the sex of the rabbits right
All I want to know is HOW TO PRUNE THE PUMPKIN, I don’t want to hear about its growth or anything else. All these posts are bragging about the garden. Get to the point please.
Add biochar to your compost pile and it will reduce down much quicker!
That is not right I raise a 100 baby's a month I breed all of my first time at 5 month
Thank you
bingo thank you for your help mate
This is not inbreed situation.. you made an accident .
Why is there no hair in that nest
Why the neck tattoo 🥲
Hahahaha Al people should TAKE IVERMECTIN if they own animals !!!!! You have parasites aswel !!! I’ve taken it for 33 years !
You need to squeeze Al that out into a small shot glass and mix it ‘!!! Otherwise it isn’t in its full dose .
Bag bomb on fur ?????? No way
My rabbit is an inside rabbit, I believe she received the mits either from the trip to the park or the wood shavings that I purchased from Petco ( I’ve been using for more than 5 months now 🤷🏾♀️) I’m concerned that while treating the mites they may leave out of her cage and into my house. There’s no out side yard that I can place her in while I do the treatment. Any advice I would definitely appreciate it.
This gets in the bloodstream so the mites can’t live on them. By the time the medicine is out of the animals system your threat will be eliminated
Mites are inherently in wood shaving my vets said don't use the fluffy crumble paper is mite free
Hi , did you get itching from them? My rabbit have scabies I’m treating them but my whole body is itching I don’t know if its from them ! Is it even possible to get scabies from animals?😢
@@doddeecatto4456 It is. I just treated mange on my rabbit and my sibling and I were itchy for like 3 days. We had to deep clean our room and everything just to be safe.
Loved the video.
Also, What’s the youngest age rabbit I can use this on?
Can I do this as a preventative? Or should I only do it if NEEDED?
This is very useful information here. Thank you for thoroughly explaining!
Anyone please. Wonder what should we do about the empty holes after pruning?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She’s fine at 5 months . Rebreed her she will do well
and I will say it again...now is one of the best times to add biochar to the rabbit manure compost pile..to let it become nutrient activated and ready for the worms to pass it through their body to really help in the garden soils....just a thought...
That’s what I was looking for. A ratio of bio char to rabbit manure.
Will they re grow?
There are a lot of similarities in terms of line breeding with chickens, if you are breeding a particular breed or type, you pretty much have to line breed, maybe with a little bit of an outcross here and there. But either way, you have got to cull hard!
use vinegerits safer
Line breeding is not bad. If one of the parents have a bad recessive gene it only makes it more noticeable. It doesn’t do anything bad. Now if your litter has weak deformities then you should probably get rid of the rabbit

Thank you
Good luck getting this stuff now :/
Thanks!
This video was perfect . Straight to the point. Plenty of detail and explaining . Good job .
This is my first year having rabbits (2 of them) and I'm not sure how to use the litter. They use a litter box so there is usually pine or aspen shavings, pee, and sometime hay mixed in with their poop. I rototilled some of this into the garden this spring but I wanted to keep using it on my plants through the summer if possible. How often can I apply it without over fertilizing, is it safe to use the pee and everything mixed in or does it need watered down/dried out, and what is the best way to apply it?
Best video on pumpkin pruning ,thank you .
Sorry 😞
I am just so confused
Poor rabbit housed in such terrible conditions. No matter the purpose of the rabbit, they deserve a far better standard of basic care -please take him out of that garbage and at least give him a soft floor and some space to hop about in.
You have never kept or bred rabbits, have you? Keeping them at ground level or with other rabbits is a great way to introduce disease for sure.
@@sandradelvecchio6894 Then how the Sh@t do they live in the wild and do okay?? what a answer lol
@@Ray-qt1oy because in the wild, they're not ENCLOSED, smart guy.
To begin with rabbits are not pets. They are exotic animals. Our "domestic" rabbits were developed from European rabbits. Originally for the fur industry , then for meat as well. Obviously you have absolutely no idea of the breed of rabbit that is in the video. To try to teach stupid , it is a Californian. It has been developed and bred to be on wire flooring and in cages. As has all of the meat breed rabbits. I get that people want to make pets out of every animal , but the reality of it is , these are not pets they are good and clothing. Some people don't like that. But that's on them. Don't preach your ideas on other people. And if you do at least educate yourself so you don't look like a total idiot to those that see the world for what it really is. At least those that raise rabbits for meat know EXACTLY what is in there meat and how humanly it was dealt with when the time came. It was not shipped to a slaughterhouse and killed without compassion.
