Hi, Nice to find someone else who raises rabbits. (although I don't eat my animals - its still nice) I like that your nest box has no bottom? Do you have free range rabbits or caged? I'll have to go watch your other videos to find out. I am curios how one runs a rabbit farm. Scarlett Ps. If your ever looking for gardening tips... Come check out my daily gardening show.
How to Grow a Garden with Scarlett Damen Glad to hear someone raising rabbits, they're extremely valuable even if you don't utilize them as a protein source. They make sooooo much manure its ridiculous. I use cardboard in the bottom of my nest box. they come with a cheap plywood insert that I throw out because they cant be sterilized. I'll be posting my how I set up my nest box tomorrow. My animals are caged most of the time. I do let them out into a exercise pen in the yard from time to time but Its very time consuming. I don't like the idea of free range because of the possibility of disease, parasites, and predators. Coccidiosis is always my biggest concern when introducing a domestic rabbit to the ground. I had my flock of chickens devastated by it this year, lost 6 of the 8 so I know its prevalent in my yard. And its very hard to identify in time, at least it was for me, I Lost 3 birds before I figured out what I needed to treat for and by that time it was too late and the treatment didn't work on 3 of the remaining 6. Thanks for watching! Looking forward to taking a look at your channel in the morning!

Southwest Urban Homestead I have used wooden nesting boxes 20+ years just hosing them out. I believe not cleaning the boxes out in time what causes most of the problems. Your videos are informative and I like them.
