Did y’all get a new truck bc you didn’t like the Tundra? Or is that someone else’s? Our airstream is still not done so we have a while to pick a tow vehicle but would love to know if the Tundra didn’t work out for some reason
Hi, we still own our 06 Tundra. We are working with Ford, and are on their F-150 Ambassador team. The SeaCamper is slightly longer and heavier than our airstream, so another truck was always in the works. The Tundra towed our airstream well---multiple cross country drives over the 3 years living in and traveling with the airstream and the drive from Alaska to Baja were great tests of that. However, we are very impressed with our time towing the Airstream with the F-150, and it's hard to dislike all the new towing tech that comes along with a newer truck!
Nice boat build. I like it almost as much as ayo's.
This is much nicer bro.
@joshw9037 Didn't say it wasn't nicer. Said I didn't like it quite as much. Just because something is nicer doesn't mean you have to like it as much. A Lambo is nicer than a Ford truck but I would prefer the truck.
What kind of espresso machine is that?
Hi, guus. Great team work there. I loved learning this step. I had one question. What was the type of havloc? Was it the reaidential batts used? Just curious as they have different widths. Thanks again.
I think I want to build an airstream :)
Beautiful work! I have looked at these for years. Watching the two of you almost close to the finish line has been rewarding. My friends bought a giant sailboat, so now I’m even more motivated.
Thank you! It's been a journey bringing this boat back to life, but we've learned a ton. Looking forward to finishing it up!
Beautiful! I really need to come up with a hatch option for my little skiff. Will head over to Boat Outfitters and see what I might come up with.
Crazy how much of a difference lights and these storage boxes from @BoatOutfitters have made on the interior of the SeaCamper! This was a real turning point in this build, and we could see the vision all coming together. Hope you all enjoyed this video, and we will list the Boat Outfitter products we installed in the caption. As always, thanks for following along with us on the SeaCamper build!
first comment! 😂
haha thanks for the support Sammy! also, ended up buying those christmas lights you messaged us. we love them!
Beautiful work 🥰
Hey Danielle how many times is "multiple time" that was needed to strip the airstream and power wash it? How do you know if it wasn't stripped?
You Guys are awesome, great work.
Way cool I didn't know.... now I know
🎉blessings to you all!!! Thank you for sharing your information!!! Been planning on building my own house boat and looking for a nice bed to have and your plans fit the build. Thank you all!!!
How many hours to do hull?
amazing series seems like most people give up halfway trough on houseboats and outsource the work but you guys kept at it
The ceilling underside is a critical part of the roof stucture. And needs to be very strong due to pulling Force on the roof underside. Nothing to do with useing polyester. The new glasfiber schould be at least as Thin as the Old one.
"Are you on my team" is such a good response 👌🏼👌🏼
Watching this amazes me how similar it is to the yacht construction style of the Balboa.
Just subbed!
Thanks for following along with us here!
@ yall got me wanting to build an airstream!
Good morning Friends.
Good morning!
This was one of the harder episodes to put together! The SeaCamper project is far from linear. We think we will get something done in a day or two, and that task spirals into a week to two weeks of work. We are pretty used to that with vintage projects, but working with resins and paints that have longer curing times, making a mistake can slow us down pretty good! Hope you guys enjoy this one -- and as always, thanks for watching!
“It wasn’t as bad…” … sooo, still bad. Yeah, I’ll pass. Cheers, on the boat build!!!
Those look great 👌🏼
Inspiring! And looks great, too…
Amazing job. Can ya do my van?
Impressive! Next time you're in town, we've got this little kitchen renovation ...
👍🏼
Please please let me share this experience. I'm obsessed.
Try a black sheet of paper, it has better contrast than white wall
Got room for a dishwasher but no TV?
@@twitchmeister3204 …that is a refrigerator not a dishwasher lol
I'm apologize I thought I seen a yellow dishwasher drinking a coke
Awesome home!

this is amazing. I like the slat wall unpainted though, but i also like wood trim concepts. I may do this project soon on mine
This build is GORGEOUS!!!
Have you got a link for the tripod?
Epic! Have been following this on Instagram but just now catching up on the full videos. Keep it up!!
Hooray for having a floor! Nice work guys, on to the next part! 💪💪
100% I have to remind myself often that the people who get professional results are the professionals who have done that thing many many many times ,, it's fun watching you learn thru such a big project, you're perseverance is inspiring 👌🏼
You should have left a pipe in the bottom to allow water to drain to bilge.
I know the TH-cam videos take a long time to edit and film, but they are SOOO good!. I hope you plan on bringing the boat back out west, plenty of room in the the field to store it and a great spot to launch in Petaluma to head down the river to the golden gate!
Thanks so much, Mark! Can't pass up an invite to come hangout in Petaluma again! We've been super busy with work, so a little behind on the finishing touches of the boat right now, but we'll be seeing you sooner than later I hope!
New to me, as well! I guess I did something similar with my little stitch and glue 12’ skiff, but the glass was optional. I used it, anyway. My kit manufacturer recommended 2 layers of 3” glass tape (I think just 6 ounce?) to tab the sides of the skiff to the bottom. I didn’t use any mat. I ended up skimming with fairing compound and sanding. Not fun, but good result. And good was something I had to get my head around, like you were saying. Really loving this series.
looking back now, 8 months since this was filmed, we were definitely being hard on ourselves. Because this was all new to us, we didn't realize that the fairing and sanding that would come a few weeks later would fix/hide the mistakes we had made. Happy to report we ended up with fantastic results on the cabin sole! Looking forward to catching up on the videos we still have to share, thanks for following along!
Installing the new deck was a long and challenging project for us that we tackled over the winter months. It's taken us quite a bit of time to edit and condense this video into something digestible because there were just so many little side projects to complete this very big project. We are working on catching up with the next few videos right now, so stay tuned for more soon!
Nice job😊
Cool beans, kiddos!!
Beautiful!!! My husband and I are remodeling a "67 Overlander for my mom to live in on our property. I was wondering if you used a Schluter product to trim out the window in your shower? Thank you
You guys did a super nice job on that AS and thanks for taking us on the tour. The little window cutouts in the bathroom are a great idea.
