Thanks for this video. Your build is wonderful. Great desing and engeneering. We have a magnetic knife holder in our trailer also and the knives and scissors have never fallen off. Just a suggestion we put our knives pointed up, because cleaning under them can result in a litte stab.
Thank you! The reason we have the knives pointed down, is so when we are driving on washboard roads (which we are more often than not) the knives can not move down and fall off the strip with vibrations from the road. If they ever did slide, the handle would stop them from falling 🙂

Your bathroom is stunning!! Is that actual penny tile in your shower? How is that holding up? Do you have any cracks in the grout from traveling or leaks? Lastly, did you happen to do a video of how you installed your shower? We're currently renovating our vintage camper on my channel and love watching other RV renovations to get ideas😍
Thank you! Yes, real penny tile is in our shower. We do not have any cracks in our grout and we have since traveled across the US multiple times, up to alaska, and down the baja mexico peninsula without issue. You need to use a flexible grout and adhesive. And yes, we have a video doing the entire bathroom portion of the renovation. Scroll down our page or go to our playlist "Airstream Renovation"

Neither of you look very tall on video. You have referenced that previously, how tall are you that it influenced your designs? How hot is an all-metal Airstream vs your old Toyota? Gorgeous design and build btw. Beautiful, natural colours for warmth and modern but classic styling. Bet you love it!
Tommy is 6'3" and I am 5'8". Tommy can stand fully with much room to spare in the Airstream and in the Toyota RV he could only stand fully in one section with the higher ceiling (towards the bed in that camper). Airstream has much better insulation than the Toyota RV, so it does quite well in comparison. Thanks for the kind wods about our build, we love all of our builds, but the Airstream was a true test for us. The boat project we are working on currently (another doozy of a project) reminds us a lot (interior space wise) of the Toyota RV. Small space, lower ceilings in places, and we have to get very creative with space and interior layout.
How is all that butcherblock? Isn't it too heavy for an airstream? I looked at some from Home Depot, but they're quite heavy. A couple hundred pounds at least....Where did you get yours? How about weight on them? Thanks!
no, it's not too heavy for an airstream. we bought our butcher block from ikea, its not as thick as the countertops at home depot and is definitely lighter. Our counter tops are only 1" thick compared to the 1.5" thick counter tops you will find at the big box stores. It was discontinued at ikea (they were marketed for wood desktops in the store) so we got everything for more than 50% off and they are solid beech wood. All of our counter tops are cut down to be small, and the largest counter top, in the kitchen, is mostly holes for the stove top and the kitchen sink. I don't have exact weights for our counter tops but our entire build came out to 4,700lbs.
