RANKING All 17 Credit Cards I’ve Ever Had (BEST Value)
Here’s a very good tip. Pay with a credit card for something you were already going to pay for with cash. Pay off your card fully before the month ends. AND DONT SPEND WHAT YOU CANT AFFORD. How to stay off debt 101 and get free rewards / flights
Great video. I'm also in my 30s and definitely would have appreciated these lessons earlier in my 20s. I didn't start traveling until I was able to pay for my own tickets (in my mid 20s) and now my current job is in hospitality, so now my job just gives me an "excuse" to travel. I can't necessarily say I love my current job position, BUT as you mentioned it does support the life I've wanted for some time. It's the first job that I've had that allows for a work/live balance and I'm okay with that.
Glad so many of the tips resonated! And traveling is definitely amazing.. every time I come back from a lengthy trip, there's that post-vacation depression haha
Got appoved for the new savor, but did not qualified for the bonus, as i am already a customer😩
As in you already had the previous savor?
@KevinYang i already have a quick silver capital one credit card. Maybe thats why.
I love my savor card, because of the simplicity. I put my wife as an authorized user for it and the vx. Told her that if it's anything food related, use the savor card. anything else use the vx.
Sounds like a solid combo! Have you considered her getting a savor herself to take advantage of another welcome bonus?
@KevinYang she said she didn't want to deal with too many credit cards, so I'm just taking what I can get from the points generated by her spend 😂
@@tommywei1154 Haha understood
Also just a side note for anyone out there you can jump into those heavier cards right away You just have to have a decent credit score. My very first credit card was the Capital One venture X that I still have and have been using daily since I've got it. However if you're not very good with your money and you know that maybe start out with something smaller like the Sapphire preferred
Just applied for the new Capital One savor card. Got approved. Going to be pairing that with my venture X so I will never earn less than 2x miles on any purchase
Such a good pairing? Solid 2 and 3x across the board!
Hands down best credit card TH-camr
Appreciate it!
Teaaaccchhh! 🎯💯
Thanks for watching!
Great points Kevin! Debit cards are so risky

Thanks for the amazing content!
Thanks for watching!
❓Question for you: How many credit cards do you have? And what's the best perk or benefit you've used? ⬇
10. And many different ones. Amex gold for food, venture x for everything.
@@richardworcester8256 Such a great combo between the two! What's your next card you're looking to go for?
4, my favorite currently tied between the Capital one Savor and the Chase freedom flex, flex has been getting a lot of use this quarter. I’m looking to get the sapphire preferred next to use my points to transfer out for travel. I want to add the gold card at some point for another point ecosystem but my savor wouldn’t get a lot of use anymore, at least for a while. I’m torn on the idea.
11 in total, and the “free night” certificate on the Hilton Aspire, I used it at a resort in Dominican Republic.
7 so far! The Venture X and Bilt are my favorites. I just added the Savor to my lineup this week! 🎉
I could never get a Capital One Card. I Have too many cards 😂😂
Hyatt has excellent transfers, if you use Hyatt.
My biggest advice is get work experience. I wish I knew this in college because I'm absolutely screwed by not doing internships now.
Oh yeah I 100% recommend internships (and 110% depending on industry!). I know people who have purposely delayed their grad be "missing" some credits just so they can apply for and get an internship, knowing it's the "easier" path to full time conversions!
To the "forgive your parents point" for whoever needs this... We always hold them to a higher standard, as we should, but remember this is their first life too
Yes!! Plus the past is the past - continuing to hold any resentments won't do you any good either
Honestly, number 24 is pretty powerful as simple as it is. Those times where just walking or commuting, my best ideas come + clear some worries etc. Great stuff Kevin man!
Thanks for checking out the non-💳 content man! And yeah 24 has stuck with me ever since that manager told me like 5+ years ago... Also that clear mind just strolling can work wonders!
When I was in the Philippines American Express was never accepted but I had no problem with my Capital One and there's zero transaction fees
Awesome job. Thank you ! (I’m 23 y/o)
Thanks for watching! Any favorite lessons you were able to take away?
Stellar video, Mr. Kevin. As a contrarian with contrarian opinions, I have to play Devil's Advocate with your tip of investing in fitness. Although I do agree with the fact that it keeps us active, I do have to argue with you as a laid back & chilled person that, on the other side of the coin, that fitness is the equivalency of let's say going to college or enlisting in the military of one little thing that you're missing: it's not for everyone. As a individual who works a full-time job, has no car, and has to walk 6 football fields a day from both home & work, trying to last at least 1 hour at a gym would be a nightmare for me. I understand that you are targeting a specific audience, but I just wanted to give out my two cents on this. I hope all is well with you, and have a blessed day!!!
Walking 6 football fields a day between home and work *is* exercise and fitness! I think the broader umbrella would be to make sure you take care of your health, and in a lot of cases that's fitness (although everyone has their own versions of it!)
6 football fields each way is total 0.8 miles. This is not much. This is not fitness. This is called “non exercise activity”. Now, if you are carrying hundreds of pounds of equipment, or pushing a sled for 0.8 mile, maybe we could spin it as exercise.
@ploobsizz U can miss me with what u just said. Have a good day.
Very valuable things for most people not just people in 20's. Well done Kevin! I want to add one thing: Learn from your mistakes and not make the same mistake in the future. It sounds simple, but sometimes we don't do it all the time. That's probably why some bad people or criminals do bad things over and over in their lifetime.
Thanks for watching! And yeah these lessons are pretty timeless! 100% about learning, and I think Alex Hormozi's "definition" of learning really captures it nicely!
Very well done. Everyone should watch this.
Thanks for watching!
Update this video

❓Bit of a different video here, but do any of these lessons resonate with you? What other lessons have you learned throughout your life? Let's learn together down below!
Kevin can you help me to book a ticket to india, round trip. Using chase points. I have 80k points i can use extra money too. To book business class ticket for april month
do you 100% need a business to get the card ??
Your videos are awesome! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
custom cash makessense if you dont spend much. its a free card with 5x
The Capital One Venture X 10X hotels benefits are so awesome. I'm looking to get the savor card next year for the dining multiplier to transfer to even more Venture X points. Great video!!!
Both amazing perks!
Can you also use both priority passes at the same time with Platinum Amex and Chase Sapphire Reserve??
I've personally been able to use it on my Amex Plat + C1VX at the same time on multiple occasions (though I don't think there's official guidance here)
Hold up. What??? How did you get a welcome bonus on the green card when you already had one on the Platinum card??? The way it was explained to me is you get ONE. PERIOD. Now, if you started at green and worked up to Platinum then sure. But you can’t downgrade into a welcome bonus or apply for a new account and get a welcome bonus, right???
It was not too long before those new rules came out!
Well-explained. Thanks Kevin.
Thanks for watching!
If you have the venture can you get the venture x with the sign up bonus?
I believe so, I personally was able to get the bonuses on each!
@KevinYang how long did you wait? I've heard 2 to 4 years. But sounds like you only waited 3 years?
@@mikema1276 Yes the time between was 3 years for me, although it wasn't intentional!
With venture x you can only bring two additional guest for each card. Its not unlimited.
Depends which lounge! Venture X Priority Pass allows unlimited guests (unless the lounge itself limits you)
I did Ana round the world on business. North America to east Asia, then ground transfer, (8moths later) then Istanbul to EU then North America. Changing dates is free, you cant change the airline. I got it for 68,000 miles and a lot of taxes maybe 900 dollars and I went Korea Japan and Taiwan this summer. Came back with Air Canada miles. Next year my trip restart from Istanbul and going back to N America. So if you happened to have Ana points, it’s a good way to use and it’s more flexible than a round trip. InterEurope flights on business ain’t worth it. So better doing a lot of stops in Asia.
That sounds amazing! Almost forgot about being able to space some of the flights really far apart to kinda have 2 separate trips even! I think trying to get enough time and planning that for a couple people would be quite hard tho!
It’s best to go with cash back unless you feel like taking up the new hobby of travel hacking. If you’re not excited or able to put a lot of time into a new travel hacking hobby then just do cash back. The travel hacking hole goes deep.
100% may not be for everyone, but given the effort, the opportunities and deals are there! It just takes a lot more effort than most people think!
I applied for the Savor One back in July and was asked to provide additional information such as Income, Taxes, Identification, etc. after I did that I got approved. I just applied for the venture x in October and did the pre approval before applying. After getting the green light I went ahead and now have both. I have under 10 credit cards and my credit score it in the mid 700s
Thanks for that data point, nice!
You people and your BLING PURCHASES 😅😅 I HAVE THE SAPPHIRE also but screw the Hyatt 300 a night to save 60 bucks🤣🤣🤣I just cash out my points and use them towards car rentals flights I CHOOSE AND under 150 a night hotel stays. Besides a bed is a bed is a bed. I mean wiping out several thousand points just for a good night at some big name hotel? There are too many great deals online already to waste my time going through Chase Travel partners. And those partners are TOP DOLLARS. I will take your points Chase but you're too late in the deals deals market online
Is there any way to get a lower spend SUB on chase sapphire cards? Id like to get the preferred but i dont spend enough in the timeframe to get the bonus.
No
Yeah rarely do I see lower SUBs for these kinds of cards... But there are ways to try and frontload more spend, like stocking up on things, paying for the group and getting transferred back, pre-paying anything that you can, etc
Pay a month rent with your card if you rent an apartment. You'll see a 3% penalty fee for using a card, but it will more than be made up for from your sign-up bonus.
@@Lancun Yup! Guess that's yet another last resort kind of way!
Tonight my wife was approved for the Savor, to make a duo with her VX. I have the Chase SP. She has the Flex. We each have an Amex Plat and BBP.
Sounds like an awesome setup for both of you! What's the next card in mind?
Hi Kevin like your videos. Question. I was looking to maybe transfer points from capital one to a star alliance partner that I could use the points to upgrade an existing United flight I had oversea to business class. When I talked to United about doing this the person said because the flight I wanted to upgrade was a United flight I couldn’t upgrade through them. They said I had to call the partner airline and see if they could upgrade me on that flight was only way. Is that true?
It sounds true. Typically the best use of points is not for upgrading flights, but to book the flights in the first place. Also it's usually the case that if you're upgrading a certain airline's flights, you'd want that airline's points, in this case, United. That said, if you'd rather re-book on a different ticket, typically cancelling flights booked with points can be done with a relatively low cost
Thanks for the feedback. My company had bought the original ticket and I was just looking to maybe upgrade to a higher class to be more comfortable.
Capital one is such a great credit card. I have had Venture for a couple of years now and just got Venture X last week! Super stoked about the introductory bonus and the Priority Pass lounge access. This will be great during my end of year international trip. However, I am a little confused about the 2nd credit card that I am looking to get. My plan is to Keep Venture X and the second card. I have an Amex gold which i will be discontinuing this year, and next year I will get rid of the Venture since having both Venture + x is redundant. I have dilemma between World of Hyatt and Chase Preferred... I love that you have 5 free nights offer on WoH, but I am tempted to open a Chase considering the bonus points/$300 travel credit and access to the Chase world. This would be my first Chase if I get it.
That is very well explained; you nailed it. The way you talk and explain each point is so clear, and I appreciate it. New follower 🎉
Thanks for watching!
Why not both? I’m currently using the C1VX and CSP, plus I also have the Saver One and Chase Freedom Unlimited.
Definitely can have both! I also have the VX and CSP together
Because let's be honest the vast majority of people especially in America are not financially stable enough nor responsible enough with one credit card let alone multiple especially ones with high annual fees maybe two or three percent of credit card users would be responsible enough to handle all that so it would be irresponsible of him to recommend that to the everyday person
@@Cryptid71 While it’s true that many people may struggle with financial responsibility, I believe that with proper budgeting and discipline, managing multiple cards can be advantageous for some. Having different cards, like the VX and CSP, allows for maximizing rewards in various spending categories. Of course, this approach isn’t for everyone, but for those who are financially responsible and informed, it can be a smart strategy.

Cap1 is mediocre. VX barely worth keeping.
Can you explain more about the $300 travel credit for Chase i am thinking of bitting the bullet on it.
On the Chase Sapphire Reserve, there's a pretty easy to use $300 credit on travel purchases!
Literally anything that codes as travel is credited until you hit 300. Doesn't have to be a portal booking.
Why doesn't anyone review the Credit One trifecta?
