my main wallet cards: venture x for catch all, bilt for rent/restaurants, citi custom cash for groceries. if i spend over 500 bucks a month on groceries, i swap to savor one and synergize with my venture x. For gas, I use the costco citi (since I'm on a costco membership with my parents).
Ah the Bilt Card, time and time again I feel like it's finally time to add it, but something nudges it down a notch! That sounds like a solid set up, the capital one duo is a combo. Do you have a next card in mind?
@@KevinYang Bilt is totally worth it, esp as a food card. I was using my CSP for restaurants for 3.1% CB, but Bilt points potentially have more value with the bonus transfer days and comparable transfer partners. As for my next card, it probably be a hotel card. Haven't decided what to get yet, but I'm doing my research going through your videos.
@@tommywei1154 Yeah Bilt's partners are definitely good, and from their track record, I'd bet they'll have much more up their sleeves, especially with Rent day and massive transfer bonuses. Maybe during a few months where I know I won't have high spend or something. Do you travel a lot? The Hilton Aspire vs Marriott Brilliant could probably benefit!
That's a lot of travel coming up 😳im jealous. I don't switch out wallets when I travel but sometimes I add more cards like the Amex Platinum, Hilton Aspire, or Marriott Brilliant cards
Hey Kevin, big fan as I am working in Seattle myself and would like to travel to Asia as well! Do you think you could do a video to where it’s Seattle Seatac based? I know it’s very niche but it would help me out.
@@KevinYang yw and mines my ccc is for my groceries, CSP dining when traveling, CFF which I already maxed out 7% dining. My catch all card is either my WF active cash or my CFU.

Hey, as a Canadian, how have you been able to get the American version of CC’s? I ask because my girlfriend is Canadian and we would like to start playing the referral-bonus-player-2 strategy. But so far all she can get is the Canadian version of these cards. Thanks.
I'm Canadian, but have been living and working in the US for several years now, so applying for US cards wasn't an issue! Unfortunately if she's not in Canada, it's not straightforward, but I believe there are ways that I'm not familiar enough to comment on unfortunately. I believe @PrinceofTravel has good resources there though!
@@KevinYang Ritz Carlton and Venture X allows Unlimited guest for primary user, unlimited guest for AU. Sapphire Reserve only allows 2 visitors. Venture X is similar priority pass, but only allows one Chase lounge visit per year, Ritz is unlimited. Restaurant used to be the third reason it was best, but you're right removed. I am NY based, so no capital one lounges, just Sapphire lounges here. I guess if you are based Dallas, Denver or Washington that would make Venture X best.
Hey I’m also a Canadian living in the US! You said with the nexus card you have TSA Precheck as well, does that come with nexus? Or does having a nexus card give me access to apply for TSAPC?
Nexus gets you TSA Prececk AND Global Entry automatically! It's basically the best of all those programs, but with the downside that you need to wait longer for the interview, and more limited locations, given you're interviewing with both a US and Canadian officer.
@@KevinYang oh that’s awesome! I used my CSR nexus credit to apply in January so I’m hoping to hear back sometime within the year, how long did it take you to get yours?
@@B1SQ1T You're right, I totally forgot the CSR covered NEXUS, since most of these cards haven't before! I got mine like 5-6 years ago and took 3 months? I know a few people recently who have waited anywhere from 6 months to like 1.5 years
100%! There's probably been like 1 year maybe that I was under by maybe 1 credit, but especially with the Amex Plat and having gotten 2 retention offers over the years, on average it's been way over!
Question for you: Do you carry separate cards when you're traveling? Which cards have been your favorites? 👇
Powerful setup Kevin! I also keep a separate travel wallet that mostly has my hotel cards and the Amex Platinum.
Amex Platinum THE card for travel 💪
I got the 5% back on gas and groceries offer for the chase freedom so I’m getting 11% at Whole Foods this quarter it’s been amazing.
Nice, that welcome bonus was so powerful! Does your location have $1 oyster Fridays? Getting them even cheaper haha
How did you get that offer?
@@luke_222 In the last few months I've seen the cards sometimes have this as the default welcome offer if you're targeted
