The ONE THING That Makes Watch Dogs 2 Better Than Other Games
After dedicating 100 hours to exploring Watch Dogs 2's NPCs, I've discovered the intricacies that make this open world feel so alive and unpredictable. Ubisoft's attention to NPC behavior adds a unique layer to the game, creating spontaneous, chaotic, and sometimes hilarious moments that many players might miss. In this video, I dive deep into the personalities, routines, and quirks of San Francisco's NPCs and explore how they enhance the player's experience.
Are Ubisoft's NPCs in Watch Dogs 2 some of the best in gaming? And can this level of detail bring the franchise back to life? Join me as I share my findings and discuss what makes Watch Dogs 2's open world a step above typical sandbox games.
What do you think of the Watch Dogs franchise? Should Ubisoft revive the series with these innovative NPC systems, or should they return to the tone of the original game? Let me know in the comments!

The best way to repair the game in gameplay quality is repairing the weapons and what stuff you can put on them and removing the damn supremos and seding them to the [REDACTED] and instead make the enemies have a reaction loke you take out a camp or checkpoint but a truck with some lads comes or a car filled with police officer comes here or a huge number of enemies arrive to kill you and maybe if you have the best gear you might win now you can fully gain control of a region if you gain the support of the civilian like helping built infrastructure or helping them in other ways and if you destroy strategic positions or capture them you gain control of said region and the army only sends special forces to bug you or other lads and some quests should involve sabotaging stuff or assassination of some dude now the story could be that you are some Latin American individual that came here for some fun but got traumatized instead after witnessing the unseeable and the hallucinations from it are a regular thing that csn be triggered if you're too violent and you didn't take your pills and the bas guys that git a fascist government are exploiting people and some are rich dudes and ugly women and any opposition is shut down fast like a fascist government would do and the bas guys are some commanders and Gus bing and a mercenary company CEO thats from Caucasusia and the good guys you play as could be the Democratic rebels that want a federal government and then there are the communists that want communism and there are the separatists that want their own nation since they're natives and not spanish descendants and a fascist rebel group made from some military and special forces that did left the government and the twist at the end of the game could be thet some goober accidentally shoots one of the communist or separatist rebels that straight up triggers a war between all those dudes and you the player must chooses a side at this big war and thats even realistic since that's how the Chinese civil war kinds went
i love farcry 6 more then farcry 5 , first a family control a valley inside usa and the army and national guard cant beat them i feel its stupid story second you make your own character not like Farcry 6 you have Dani third the music in Farcry 6 which i love it fighting army is better then fighting angry farmer play only one hour in Farcry 5 then stop but i Finish Farcry 6 story twice
Maybe it’s because it’s the 1st far cry I ever played but I loved it
I'm glad to know that! I recommend trying Far Cry 4 and 5 if you have the time! They're both awesome games to be honest.
I love the idea/set up of Far Cry 6. After the tutorial island you basically self pace go where ever and decide where you want the campaign to go from there. It just got stale after a while. Also hated the voices.
I totally love player agency too, but as you have said it, it's poorly handled in the game!
It’s acc set 13 years after dl1 and dl2 is 20 years after
Techland has stated that the beast is set immediately after Dying Light 2's ending. I will actually make a video explaining this in the upcoming days.
It's the worst of the 6. The dialogue sucked. It's like the writer just took quotes from Google and used that. Everyone's trying to be a smart ass by quoting a quote and it's annoying af. When Clara died I was like "no worries!" Haha. Bicho connected to me more than Dani.
exactly this. I couldn't say it better lol
I agree with you but only on few points. Some mechanics are Better in Farcry 6, you just wanted to create fake bad points which they are not.
No fake bad points, I am just stating my own reasons for why I think this game is not a good Far Cry game. In the end, not everyone thinks the same about a video game.
THAH'S THE MAIN PROBLEM, THE GAME DOESN'T FEEL LIKE FAR CRY!!
exactly!
or maybe Crane will help Aiden to control the virus like he was.
Totally possible!
Love this game Maybe needs a little more but mainly it's gd game
8:25 There even is a Rambo special mission in the game. Ubisoft has not done their research on actual guerilla warfare. That's the biggest letdown of Far Cry 6.
Well said!
I only have 2 reasons why I didn't "love" the game: RPG mechanics - previous mechanics from FC4 and 5 (and even Primal) worked well. Don't know why change at all. Third person cinematics - the great thing about FC is you get to experience the story from the MC POV. You get shot, you get hurt, etc., it always feels like "you're" in the way of things. In FC6, you're detached from the feeling and only experience it during combat.
Totally agreed.
Kyle Crane would easily destroy Aiden💀
what if Aiden goes beast mode tho?👀

My only complaint about dying light 2 was the last boss fight it sucked the lore and story is great but for some reason the final boss fight sucks
Yeah the fight against waltz was just super cheesy...
In all honesty i didnt think far cry 5 was that great. I played through it but there was too much i just didnt understand why it was changed compared to previous titles. The fact that the player is a mute is something ill never understand. Game was only serious in the main story and really unserious in anything else. Too many characters to focus on so when one is killed off i simply didnt care. The map wasnt as cool to me like fc4 or 3. Theres more things i really felt like were a step down from previous titles. But It was okay to play through and genuinally had some pretty cool things but in all the ways i can think of fc 4 and 3 were just soo much better.
I totally agree that the story and character writing had issues in Far Cry 5.
Maximas Matanzas was so cringe made me hate the whole game not gonna lie monteros were fun that i thought this could be better than previous far crys but yeah they gotta ruin it by some cringe characters and pointless Story.
Totally agreedd!
I have the game from xmas of 2021, as i LOVE the series. By far I have played only the villains DLCs. Sad to see id rather revisit a FRACTION of the old games instead of playing the new one. Right from the get go, it was all off somehow. I played New Dawn after i got 6 and i already hated the idea of no hunting, the rpg mechanics like ammo types and crafting shit togehter with enemy health bars and area ranks. I will probably 100% the rest of the ones i own with inclusion of Primal and Blood Dragon instead of getting to 6 for the time being
Far Cry Primal is one of the most underrated games in the series tbh. It's way too different and unlike Far Cry 6, that's where Primal truly shines.
@TruePhoque i am really looking forward Primal, i Heard nothing but praise! First i Will Finish the DLCs though, which i mostly neglected. Heard Valley of Yettis Is Also pretty good
@@naiteiruakuma2261 Yep, Far Cry DLCs are the most underappreciated pieces of content in the series imo. Hope you enjoy playing them!
Online Banned Steam and PC 💀 ☠️ Mod and hack
Well, mods and hacks in online section are something that Rockstar Games should up their security work to prevent from happening to be honest. many games including call of duty, cs go, dota, and etc. have hackers but the developers are constantly fighting against them. I'm not saying they have managed to completely eliminate the hacker problem, but they are doing a somewhat fine job protecting their game. unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Rockstar Games and GTA Online...
6,7 month delay is no big deal
that much wait isn't a big deal, except GTA 6's PC port will be at least 12 months away if rockstar is following their own trend.
Childish clown weapons, dumbed down AI, poor story line, no real sense of danger, annoying characters, nurfed difficulty ect. 😂
totally agreed.
Actually it feels like rpg and just cause merge into fc 6, i like the skill tree mechanic
glad to know you enjoyed it!
I liked the game as it tried new things and mechanics that hadn't been seen by the franchise before, and the environments looked more appealing to me (because i like tropical settings lmao), still tho i agree with you, the game does drag on for a bit with the near endless villains, and especially after.
I love tropical settings too; however, this game somehow failed to realize its setting's potential to some oddly extreme levels lmao.
I’m worried about the day and night cycle. The fear of going out at night was one of the core aspects of the original. Why would I be scared when I literally become an unstoppable beast?
What if there's something stronger than you out there during the nights?
Soorry but the goat is still crane
Crane will always be the goat
I thought girl dani was a amazing character design voice good choices
I liked her too, her VA did an amazing job imo!
One of the biggest problem about FC6 is the enemy faction. I missed the moments where they were badass and more iconic, while you're fighting against the Royal Army and Guard in FC4 they're yelling and insulting you in Hindi/Cantonese which makes them more intimidating. Even the mercenaries from FC2 are way scarier and hard to kill. They're always ramming you with truck, spamming grenade launchers at your position, and always taking cover. Also here's a sad fact: If one of them is wounded, you can hear them begging for their life and crying for their mother/family. Tbh i kinda feel bad for killing them. Meanwhile, the FND from FC6 are just some generic bad guy. They have no personality due to few lines and warcries, they're only saying some basic military callouts like "He's there!", or "Enemy down!". Ironically, they got the best equipments, hardwares, and weapons compares to other factions but I find them less-intimidating because how boring they're. The NPC movements and reactions are so bad I can killing them all easily like some target practice. Their outfits are crappy as well, since when does a military wears a bright-white uniform in a frontline? No wonder why the rebels won the war because they can see them easily. At least the enemy from FC2-4 has better outfits with their darker and camouflage uniform that fits to the environment.
Couldn't have said it better myself!
Skills and crafting, then outposts and radio towers, and strong villans
yep, the pillars of the series were all gone from Far Cry 6
The World of FarCry 6 feels like FarCry 3 upgraded
Depends on how we look at the world of this game!
you moron it's crane from the first game and it's got no connection to dying light 2
Far Cry 6 actually felt like a dumbed down FPS version of Just Cause 3. Please tell me I'm not the only one who felt that!
I absolutely agree with that. I have even mentioned it during the conclusion chapter of the video haha.
It sounds weird to say it's "like OldBoy's premisce". I don't think the commenter watched that movie t'il the end. It's a bit surface level to only speak about Oldboy as a simple revenge movie. It has so many layers it's a bit unfair. So to rectify this, whoever you are, if you read this and haven't seen the movie and are an adult. Go on. It's a bit gory and has questionnable content through but it's pretty good despite the weird ending.
Yeah those were Tymon Smektala's words, so we gotta see how the comparison will turn out!
Got GTA5 On PS3 back then. Still worth taking out of the closet as the newer pc version is basically the same and, going by what I hear, they might not deserve my money for the next decade anyway. Oh, in fact, my kid will be able legally play it by the time it's free on Epic ... haha X )
haha, yeah I remember how that free epic version caused the epic servers to crash lmao, it was a cool thing to see.
I quite enjoyed the game but wished it was a bit shorter. Some levels get frustrating to navigate into. Maybe they could have made this franchise into an episodic release where you have a couple of new maps every season with a leaderboard for each. Maybe something akin to the latest Hitman 3 game.
I believe it was actually quite short, but an episodic style with detailed levels every season sounds brilliant imo!
Ah, thanks for the video. I needed a refresher about this game. I wouldn't call the engine "powerful", maybe "open" or "flexible" but not very powerful. It's rooted in a twenty year old tech that is basically unfixable and the more crap they add, the worse, or rather, unstable, it get's. Going 64 bit was the best upgrade so far but it basically only allowed them mitigate potential modern times issues while still swipe bugs and junky scripts under the rug (that's basically why there are so many loading screens).
I totally agree. The engine really holds this game back in ways that are pretty frustrating.
It's concerning how nobody realizes that Giancarlo's villain Anton isn't even in the actual game but only in cutscenes. They just used him to advertise their game and rushed this game to get it out using him as to hype up their crap.
This.
Am i the only one who really likes this game?
You're definitely not alone. A lot of players actually enjoyed Far Cry 6 and to be honest on its own it's a great game, it's just not a great Far Cry game sadly.
Nice video Made me learn more about watchdogs
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
06:28 gordan freeman is in half life 1 aswell
and bro doesn't talk in that game either. which, again, works for that particular game and doesn't work in Far Cry 5.
What made those villains very threatening was the fact we get see them through a first person perspective. It made us feel threatened and vulnerable. The confrontations kinda made it personal too. I was very disappointed when I realised the cut scenes were in third person. It would've been amazing to see his performance in first person!!
I agree. The first-person perspective in the cut scenes would have made the confrontations more personal and impactful.
Far cry 6 is an amazing game
happy to hear you like the game!
uhg. Giant empty map again ? It's like Ubisoft has too many employees and need to make giant maps to get them all working on at least a part of the game... Too bad they sleep on the job. X )
The best thing about almost every ubi open world is how beautiful they look. otherwise the methods they choose to design their games are sometimes "questionable" to be modest lol.
@@TheTrueSeal agreed. I love walking around in some of the denser parts of their worlds despite how lifeless they can seem at times.
We play this game from time to time with a couple of friends and, while there are fun moments, I can't help but find it repetitive and quite frankly, boring.. there i said it, I hope they won't read my comment. X ) I'm only level 8 though while some of them are 20+ and keep telling me it'll get better. But I'll still play it. it's one of the rare "good" co-op games for late friday or saturday night. I just wish the maps were more interesting and offered more handcrafted situations.
fast forward a few month post launch and yeah, I think the way arrowhead supported this game didn't do it any justice!
That game is so big that it scares me to even think about trying to play it. Seeing you open the map in Valhalla was a perfect deterrent. X )
Haha, yeah Valhalla is one of the biggest games I have ever played. I think the combination of all the in game maps + expansions are bigger than Red Dead Redemption 2 or AC Odyssey!
Agreed. Parkour being the main gameplay mechanic of the game, it also feels weird when you're thrown into co-op missions where you have to stand your ground against waves of zombies, especially in hard mode. We had to spam grenades and molotovs during the one where you have to defend a generator on the docks. But yeah, I quite agree that the central loop shouldn't have been about tall buildings but instead a denser older city. They nailed it with the first game and maybe they should take inspiration from Madrid for the next. : )
Totally agreed!
When I first heard about this game I was excited. Recruit anyone and permadeath. Too bad it was this poorly executed. As an activist myself as well as a dev and 3D printer aficionado, I fell in love with the premises and gameplay of the second WatchDogs game. It had weird maneuverability and felt a bit empty side content wise (Plus I hated that every single unique thing you could find by accident was in a checklist of things to see and do...). Also it had it's ass in-between two chairs (like that French expression) with the weird choice of allowing you to use lethal weapons with no consequences when you absolutely don't need any to 100% the game. Like, is this GTA for hackers or is this Hackers the movie the game ? (Now that i think about it, Ubisoft missed the opportunity to include roller blades XD ). Anyway. I skipped this third entry when I saw the reviews tear it to pieces but i have to say, it still feels compelling if only to explore this handcrafted city or do some sightseeing. I might still pick it up later and make sure to follow your advice of recruiting the construction worker first ... X ) haha. Thanks for the vid. I'm sad I only discovered your channel this week.
Hey! I'm glad you found the channel! Yeah, I totally agree, the entire premise of Watch Dogs Legion sounds amazing, however the execution is so bad that it makes one question Ubisoft's creative decisions for the game...
I Loved this game in my opinion I mean it's not that bad it's fun to complete and i really liked the soundtrack!!
Glad to hear that!
people forget that crane worked for the GRE, and aiden hates the GRE, so with little context aiden might be hostile towards crane
Completely plausible!
Does he actually hate the GRE? From the little dialogue he talked about the GRE, he seems to just dislike Waltz and not the GRE. Somewhere at the start of meeting Lawan, she tells Aiden that GRE had no idea about Waltz’s experiments and once they found out they shut them down.
No. He helped Veronica even after finding out she worked for the GRE in a high ranking position.
