“Look how they massacred my boy”, applies to so many of my favourite ASOIAF characters now it’s getting ridiculous. Aegon is the goat, the drip king, the comeback king and they made my boy a grapist when it’s stated he was not faithful to his wife but he did have paramour, who was treated well by Aegon, it also comes from a much more reliable source and one who had watched Aegon grow up unlike Mushroom.

If the vibe doesn't change over there, they might finally come for him full force in S3😅

It wasn't by design they just stumbled into making Aegon liked. Tom Glynn Carney is a very good actor too, I think the way he played some of the scenes showed a humane side. If he had acted stoic during the council scene where Otto jumped in Aegon would've just looked stupid, but Tom made it look like he was genuinely trying to please the people.

Aegon's brother tried to burn him to death and his mother was going to hand him over to her girl crush to be executed. The writers were too stupid to realize this would make us like him. 🤷‍♀

It was unintentional because they are bad writers, they intend to make us hate him by doing everything they could to make him disgusting only for them to come in the next season and have so much happened to him that we can’t help but feel sorry for him. they probably thought that we would cheer all these horrific things that what happened to him (like the blown up sausage)which proves how much of bad writer they are. While they try to force us to like Rhaenyra by showing so much bias it was obvious (Aegon hangs rat catchers, bad, but rhaenyra locks bastards in front the most hostile dragon to burn alive and eat while she watches in bliss , cool) but instead it had the opposite effect even those who once liked her -hate her now

Dig multiple lines of trenches, light them on fire, force them into a narrow but open choke point past the trenches, shields and spears to the front, bend but don’t break, fall back to more open land, then send the Dothraki cavalry crashing into both their flanks on both sides, keep the arches and artillery near or behind the wall and constantly firing, aim catapults to center of zombie horde and do not stop firing. You may not win but damnit make them pay for every inch gained. My God, this could’ve been such an epic moment in tv history, and it was completely squandered

I don’t like Daemon, but I hate what they did to his character. While I hated him, he was so damned entertaining to watch in season one. He was almost a 1:1 of book Daemon. Condal and Hess ruined him. There’s no going back from their brain-dead writing choices in season three.

I completely believe that the writers did not intend for Aegon to be that nuanced, especially with the "burnt sausage" line. I think their intention was to humiliate him, but it did not work.

Aegon was funny too in a humorless Season 2. Rhaenyra walked around looking constipated in all her scenes.

Aegon was the best. Otto was good but they wrote him out of most of the season. He was probably lucky about that. The secondary characters that worked were Larys, Simon Strong and the Tully kid.

He was a light in an otherwise abysmal season

It would make more sense if Jon seduced Dany and wasn't in love with her. Using her for her dragons with the aim to k1ll her afterwards. Going down the falling in love route was the mistake. The romance was badly written, the actors had no sexual chemistry, and it wasn't believable.

The White Walker Army wasn't superior in numbers to the Living Army in Winterfell, it was 100000 wights against 130000 humans and some horses, one direwolf and two dragons, but in fact, the White Walker Army is superior in power, which matter more.

Am I alone? I really enjoyed House Of The Dragon S2 and so did most of the public? What is this revisionist history? Despite what GRRM says. We live in such an outrage culture these days. GRRM is entitled to his opinion but it's also the pot calling the kettle black, he served as both a writer, producer, executive producer on the series & gave his blessing to both HBO and the showrunner to make the show from the beginning. There's a reason he took down his blog post and complaining it's because it was in poor taste and spoiling how the story unfolds. You can't take the money, serve as a creative producer, then complain publicly and malign the public to your side when a detail goes wrong, or something is not adapted exactly the way you wanted it to. He's much closer to the decision makes and creatives than we are. Why on earth would anyone ever want to work GRRM again if he's just going to use his fame and publicity to roast you online? I love GGRM but he was absolutely 100% wrong here and it's part of the problem of a creator feeling too attached to their own works after selling it off to be adapted. He should just be happy it's getting as much attention as it is and is as beloved as it is. FINISH THE BOOKS GEORGE AND MAYBE WE WON'T HAVE THESE PROBLEMS.

I don't want him to be EVIL, but I do believe that GRRM will give him a harder edge than what D&D gave us. D&D didn't care about 'solving problems' in the final seasons. They just wanted to end it fast. 😠

I feel that Daemon was toned down and almost redeemed ... because they needed to make the Black side look better. This is in complete contradiction to the core of his character and really sucks. He's like a Bojack Horseman or a Walter White to me. Complete and utter @$$hole but we're invested in his story anyway lol. He didn't need to be toned down or redeemed, he's supposed to be a jerk.

How about this plot twist? This scene is actually good because it's realistic. And it's realistic because in real life people are just as stupid. If you analyze any battle, you'll find a bunch of idiots who were supposed to do something, but didn't. They just forgot. Or missed it. Or they do stupid things because of emotions.

The reason likely is..jealousy. If you find interviews from d&d, one of their wives said Jon is her favorite and was really into him, which then started the small d*ck jokes and short height jokes. There is even an interview of them saying he’s so perfect how can we make him not ? Because we know just like with barristan selmy, they aren’t above letting their personal feeling destroy their art. So we get this dumb down Jon who does nothing but spout off idiotic sentences. Book him def had many seeds of darkness before his death, waiting for the wrong spark. however, though I don’t imagine him coming back as the kinda darkness you imagined, I did imagine a ruthless by any means necessary person, the kinda person who would burn kingslanding with the unturned innocents included if some how the nightking invaded it

A hard edged Jon Snow putting together a group of northerners and wildings because they had fewer numbers and using the tunnels to get into the crypts and then up into Winterfell at night to kill the Boltons while they slept would've been great. Instead we got the stupid surprise that Sansa didn't tell Jon about with the Knights of the Vale.

First 4 seasons... those kids were incredibly talented actors! Final 4 seasons... those kids grew to be terrible, insufferable actors.

Jon's return in the book is going to be IMO much darker because Melisandre is at the wall with Shireen and I believe Shireen is going to be the sacrifice she uses to bring Jon back.
