I-84 I started running combine in 1951 a Moline 69 harvester my boys have three big John Deere rotary combines my first combine was a Moline W-4 self-propelled on a uni tractor

Does it do a better job than newer machines at loss of seed? Cleanliness?

I got to "combine" dryland beans for about 20 minutes when I was 10. Other than that, the closest I get to farming these days is playing farming Simulator with my kids. I often go play it by myself too, I love using the old equipment and working my way up to the newer big stuff. But I'm sitting on my ass at home, drinking whiskey while I'm playing it. Not comparable at all, but I'd have fun doing the real thing too.

If I ever won the lottery (prolly should buy tickets before making plans like this) THIS is the kinda shit I'd spend my money on. I'd by a few hundred acres and all kinda old school equipment and live life in the slow lane, with a joint in my hand in the morning, and a beer in the afternoon, just pluggin along, happy as a lark. Maybe when I hit retirement, but whatever I'm doing I'll for sure be doing it with a joint and a beer and a whiskey

Very cool! I just went to a vintage harvest where a 55h was cutting wheat. There was lik 6 pull behinds but that is a cool combine there my friend!

I am glad that Timmy Jr and I came this year. It was nice seeing some locals there that I have not seen in a while, plus meeting guys like MikeP7810 and Farmin fixing fabrication here on TH-cam. It was also nice talking to fellow followers that also watch Mike's channel. Going to try and bring my New Holland next year.

Freaking awesome! We ran a 5020 with an 8 tow 16"....white plow....nitro returns...(not spring loaded) and a JD M with a 2 row!

Oh!! It even has enough power to unload on the go!! 👍

Sometimes I think the old school way does a better job. I see a lot of wheat growing after the harvest. And it doesn't matter what brand name equipment.

I always wanted to run a JD R, the oldest JD I ran was a 720 but I sure spent many, many hours in a 7520. Love the videos. Thanks ,

Love it. I’ve never seen one of these little 40’s. Cool. My first harvest was with a 65 pull-type on a 4020. The next year moved up to a 96 pull-type with the same 4020. I remember seeing a 105 at the dealer and thought “Wow”. Other JD models followed, next was a 6601 pull-type on a 4440. Other JD models I had the pleasure of running were 6600, 7700, 7720 Titan II, 7721 with a 4840 and last a 9500. After that I stuck to driving truck and taking photos.

I first started with a Super MD and a model 70 4-14s. Then a International 806 Wheatland turbo with a MM 5-16s. Next a MM G1000 Vista with a MM 6-16s. Then a 1155 Massey Ferguson with 7-16s. Then a Massey Ferguson 1800 with a 880 plow. Finally a Massey Ferguson 4900 with an International 800 with 10- 18s.

Does my heart good to see someone turn some dirt and that’s a whole lot of beautiful old iron doing the work !

When I started plowing 8 or 9 years old it was a white 2-155 and a white 6 bottom. Sometime around 12 or 13 I moved up to a Steiger Panther and a couple of 6 bottom John Deere plows hooked together. I think they were 3600’s. Can’t remember. It has been a day or two. Thanks for another great video. Keep’em coming

We farmed with a JD 45 until the mid 79's until we quit putting the farm to grass.

Use to plow with a 730 or 630 with 810 3.16 john deere plow i have pulled a Oliver 2.14 pull t,pye with a B john deere we are notill plowing is just about a thing of the past here

Growing up, my dad did some cash crop corn and he plowed with the Ford 4000 with a ford old trip 3 bottom, I plowed with our Ford 801 Powermaster with a 2 bottom old trip JD plow.

Great video Tom! Awesome you do this...not too many do plow days anymore here in WNY...if any?? You have some great looking outfits featured...I think the blue ribbon goes to the Model R and era-correct JD plow...a beauty!! Your 7020 has quite a work-out pulling that big White 6btm on-land...handles it well! V8 Oliver cool too!
