My family and I used to grow tobacco. And I love your videos and thank you for taking the time to make them. We ran ford's formally and deeres on the farm
Just found your channel and subscribed. Fantastic lineup of tractors, really jealous. I'm in the UK and very difficult to find these classic tractors. We have been running Deere's on our farm since the late 60's. Look forward to watching more of your videos, thank you.
Thanks for subscribing Rob, I subbed back. We are fortunate to have the lineup we have. Talked to some neighbors today about lining up another plow day sometime next summer.
Congratulations on the 4020 subscribers Tom 👏 Sure has been a different winter here in WNY.. I'm about 20 mins south of Buffalo NY. I just hope it's not a wet spring.. I'm sick of this Mud.. I grew up on a 3020 Diesel. 1 a syncro the other a powershift.. Traded the Green for Blue about 25 years ago. Always wanted a 4020
I am a semi-retired farmer in western KY. My all time favorite tractor for getting the job done was a JD 4840. My favorite to drive which I still have to play with is my JD 2940.
My great grandfather and grandfather went together during the war and bought a JD LA. They farmed 80 acres with it. Traded in a mule on it, but kept the old horse Jim. My brother still has the LA, which has been overhauled 4 times. I have an LA also, and 20 other 2 cylinders, and 3 crawlers. Love the old ones.
The dairy i worked on in bath ny had a 4010. Drove by there the other day and who ever bought it after the owner passed tore the barn and milking parlor down it was heart breaking to see that
I farm in the Netherlands. Growing potatoes, onions, sugar beets, barley and wheat. Farm with MF tractors and combine just because they are a lot cheaper than the rest. I did used to have a 6030 open station that I bought in Pennsylvania in 2008. Sold it always gearbox problems
Thanks for the comments! I visited your country 21 years ago in March, very impressive agricultural. We visited a few dairy farms and stopped at a farm that grew onions and seed potatoes. We don’t do much work with our 6030, more of a toy these days. MF tractors are making a comeback in our area.
@@tomcorcoran3401 I worked for a farmer in Ohio for 2 years 30 years ago. But he did not travel. "I don't have a passport" he always told me 😅. So we went there again this summer and I took my wife and kids. Great time we had!
I own a New Holland TC45D deisel with a loader. I know you have seen pictures of it on the Gram. It has been the best investment I made on my little Beef Farm here in Western NY. (Yes, Tom and I are about neighbors (45 minutes I'd say))
I started farming on my own in 2010 also. JD 4840 on a 6 row Gladiator, JD 4430, JD 7420 on a 750 drill, baler and hauling wagons, JD 6410 on a 7000 6 row planter, haybine, rake and 1037 stacker wagon, JD 2550 on a 60 ft sprayer, JD 9400 combine.. Also JD 60, 620, 720, 3020, 4020, Oliver Super 55, Farmall H, M, 350, MF 35, 202, 205. Not new but all paid for except the sprayer and combine about 20 miles east of you.
We currently have 3 4020s 1964, 1966, 1970. Some day I will have one for every year they were made. We have all deere for farming and a case400 diesel as well as an farmall H and M for antique tractors with our 2 cylinders
We grow cattle, hay, Christmas trees and are getting into hops for beer. I would love a 4020 but being in high school I can’t afford it. I have 20 acres of my own for hay. We have a 2001 deutz agrolux 80 open station with loader and air cooled motor 85 ho our biggest tractor pulls the new massy baler great. Our next tractor is a 1989 deutz allis 6275 with air cooled moter and open station. Our third tractor is a 1979 johndeere 2240 with loader and rollbar.
@@tomcorcoran3401 thankyou for your kind words. My grandfather is the first generation and my parents are doing the trees, cows Xmas trees and hay and my grandfather is letting me use his equipment and one of his old chicken houses for hay storage. And my English teacher lives about a mile from my house and is letting me cut hay around her house because her husband just bushhogs it. The deal my grandfather and I have is I reimburse him for the diesel and net wrap by selling the hay to him at a discounted price and 35 per round bale which is cheap for our area. Hoping to buy a 4020 in the next year or two. Any tips on how to start without debt?
That’s a great lineup! I haven’t seen an 1805 in a while, ran one 30 years ago a few times 👍🏻 We would love to meet you at our show! Thanks for watching.
That’s a great lineup…. We’re trying to work our way up to some newer tractors. Can’t remember if I mentioned we have a 4440 with a 260 loader and I bought back my Dads 720 gas that was out of the family for 28 years. Thanks for following along.
Still got an old 3020 diesel on my farm. It was dad’s main tractor for many years. It has an m&w turbo and pistons. My dad and my uncle made hay for a mushroom farm around here for years. 3020 mowed hay with a 1209 John Deere and baled hay with a 605f Vermeer baler. The baler worked the old girl on these hills around here. Dad quit farming in 1999 and started again in 2010 and it pulled a 6 row 7000 planter. He bought a 7330 and a 6115d so the 3020 got kinda retired. Then John Deere repoed the 7330 and 6115 in 2014 the 3020 and a 10ft 750 no till drill was all I had to start over. It didn’t let me down. I got 2 new Masseys now so the 3020 is semi retired again. I wanna do a video on it one of these days with dad and me talking about it. Kinda like what Ryan Kelly does. I love hearing about peoples old tractors and their stories through the years. As far as my 3020 goes nobody will ever has as many hours in the seat as dad does and nobody will ever have as many hours as I do riding on the fender. I learned a lot on that fender when I was a kid.
That’s a great story! I love when Ryan does the stories on old tractors. That 3020 has been such an important part of your family’s history. My dad bought one new in 1971, I learned to cut hay with that and a 1209 as well. They still use the 3020 as the main loader tractor on their dairy farm. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I’m in south Texas, grew up farming with a 3010, 4020! Then dad upgraded in early 70’s to a 4430 and 4030 with sound guard cans, woohoo we were in “tall cotton”
Hi Tom, we don't farm anymore here in Clifton Springs ny. But when we did, started with a Ford 8000, that was our big tractor back in 1980. Then came along an International 4386. We outgrew that, then the Steiger cougar came along. We sold the equipment in 2006 due to health reasons. We kept the Ford and my 2 cylinder John deeres. An A, B, 2-G's, and 70 gas. Looking forward to your show in September!!
Wow, you had some cool and unique horsepower! I always liked the look of Ford 8000s but never had the chance to drive one. 4386s were great looking tractors to, someday I hope to own a green Steiger. We look forward to meeting you at our tractor show, we still have a JD 720 gas I grew up driving. Thanks for watching.
We have a mix of equipment on our small farm, we're partial to Allis because there was a dealer here in town back in the day. We have and Allis Chalmers G and 6080 4wd, International 424, and John Deere 4630. We do mostly hay with some others on occasion.
I’m sure it was the same everywhere, if you had a good dealer close by that was the brand you ran. Allis made great tractors and motors. 4630s were big dogs back in the day. Thanks for the comments.
Nice tractors. I sold an A and a 50 because we ran out of time to work on them. 630 and 730s are beautiful tractors. Thanks for watching and the comments.
Thanks for the tractor tour Tom!!
My pleasure!

Hey Tom! What about that old 40 combine hiding out back there?….😂
Great eye Chris! That’s a parts machine, our good one is tucked safely in our old barn. The 40 should make it out this summer for wheat harvest again.

Looking forward to bringing my JD 620 Standard to the Sumbitch celebration this year! Do enjoy your videos, too! Keep up the great work.
