This is a great idea. Both of my vehicles use keyless key fob ignition. These key fobs are continually pinging the vehicle even when not in use and hackers are able to detect these signals and duplicate them in order to steal vehicles. When I'm at home I keep my key fobs inside small faraday pouches I purchased on Amazon. They work!
When my wife and I were doing tow and drive away we each had prepass transponders, of course when two different rigs no problem. But when coming back her prepass went in the faraday bag so we weren't getting double billed. Also put the tracker in the bag when with IT
I've never even thought about that. I have prepass that i don't carry with me because i want the ticket to turn in but I'll be carrying it with me now. Thank you for your comment!
I watch this video a while ago and think about it often. I bought a faraday pouch for my Silverado key fob because I found out that they can scan for your key fob from the street and replace it with a new fob. They later come back to steel your truck.

You do realize that the cell providers can sense the signature connection drop of one of those and they cause the phone to react that way while you are still being tracked? It’s a very obvious pattern for them to watch for. This was proven about six years ago. Geez. Catch up!
