I really enjoyed this! It was much like your older videos 😉 Those tri axles amaze me how huge they are. And it does make the trucks look so little 😅. Safe travels!
Great video. I did RV Transport for 4 years under my own authority. It worked great at first, always money in the bank after each trip. Inflation made me give it up last December. Working as much as a could just could not make it after expenses. Ended up making enough for the business and not covering personal expenses.
Good video. I was supposed to deliver to that same dealership on 3/12 but that unit spit an axle out in Murfreesboro. Wife was with me so we went on our vacation without making the money to pay for it.😢 Stay safe brother
I always love seeing your trips but it seems I may have watched this before? Either way, keep up the cool videos - you're coming from my old stomping grounds (Elkhart) and going by my new one in Florida. :)
Great video, that would be great if you could do a video on that Duramax that was stretched. I spoke to the truck sleeper right outside of Goshen and they referred me to an Amish company that could do a stretch. I forget what the price was but I was too nervous at the time to invest the money to do that have to change and who knows what all else has to go along with that build the sleeper wasn’t that much money depends on what you want inside, but I didn’t have an air condition on the top. I think there were something that was on the back of the sleeper my questionwould be the turning radius on that truck versus what we have now if you could find out about that that would be a great update
Just got a 2016 2500 Duramax with 235K on it and I am pulling a 43 foot toyhauler. The truck was setup as a fithwheel hauler. People are telling me this is NOT a big enough truck to haul this 20 gvw 20K trailer loaded. I see you have been doing it for years. I am making my first trip fron NH to VA in a week where I will be living in it weel I rehad a house. Thoughts.
When u pick up a rv do they charge you to pick it up ? Indiana transport told me sixty per load to pick up the load from the yard .. 😂.. they already getting half of the loads money at four bucks a mile .. or over per rv supercenter owners ive talked to.
I understand your actual weight is under 26,000 currently but the gross vehicle weight rating with your truck and that trailer is 30k How do you get by with that?
Hi my name is Stuart. I am using my wife's TH-cam channel. I live in Naples, Florida. When you are pulling a brand new RV out of Elkhart Indiana, you don't go by the GVWR or anything like that. You go by the actual weight of the fifth wheel or travel trailer or whatever it is. The actual weight is all that really matters. He's got a single rear wheel I guess 3500 so I don't know what his rear axle is. It's probably 8,000 lb and that trailer probably weighs 16,000. I'm not sure but he should be okay. And in all actuality three axle trailers are lighter on your pin weight that's on your fifth wheel. Usually they're lighter a three axle trailer so he should be fine. He's actually only limited by his plate. If his plate is 26,000 he may be close and if he's got to see the l he can obviously go hire All right. Just curious about all this. Very good though. Good video😮
By the way, I forgot to mention according to the federal code there is a waiver regarding the fifth wheels GVW or GVWR. Whatever it is, it's by actual physical weight of the dry unit coming from the factory, so he would not have to worry about any of the weight ratings or anything like that on that fifth wheel. It's all by the literal weight on the scale of that unit. That's all there is to it. I will get the federal code and I will post it here.
So aren't you still over weight cdl or not since that truck has a 5th wheel tow rating of 13500k at least that's what I was told it was from dealer I do not have a sticker on my door and I have the same truck same year
You were down here in my neck of the woods. I live about 60 miles east of Fort Myers by Lake Okeechobee would be nice to meet you one day.

When i was pulling a trailer like that i always carry a roll of duck tape to hold a door shut

I did this about 2 years ago. Starting to seriously consider getting back in. How’s freight been looking this year?

Awesome job.. you should carry a roll of duct tape with you for those little doors that won't stay shut... that will keep it shut.
Duct tape and WD40...
@@deborahvessell6870 then you can solve any problem.
Nice video. Is it time for Cali?
I know the truck came with the stock inverter but do you have a larger inverter to keep things like your jumpbox charged?
1.60 a mile just curious how much you net on a pull like that ? I’m thinking getting into it I already have 2014 Chevy duramax 2500

How would I get ahold of u if I have some questions privately?
With a CDL and 26K tags you still have to maintain your GVWR and axle rating of your vehicle, correct?
Yes he does and he is over weight on his truck axles plus he maybe over his payload capacity
Did your rear view mirror and camera come with your truck.
Is that a 3500
Edit just got to that part
Dp you not get flack for being over the gvwr of the truck with the hitch weight?
How are you legally running a combined 30,000 with a legal limit of 26,000
I understand your actual weight is under 26,000 currently but the gross vehicle weight rating with your truck and that trailer is 30k How do you get by with that?

$1.60 a loaded mile or both ways?
No that's one way you are not making any money. People need to stop pulling them
No lot lizards this trip?
