Part 1: Another Trail Ride on my DRZ 400S
มุมมอง 5021 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
It was time for a short trail ride on my DR-Z 400S. I've split this ride up into 2 videos. I didn't ride the trail the entire way through because I didn't want to deal with a water crossing at the far end. Part 1 is the ride out to the turn around point, part 2 is the ride back. * Please note: I will not discuss locations in the comments section. My Official Amazon Page: www.amazon.com/shop/del...
Why I bought a Truck Camper | Arctic Fox 992
มุมมอง 1.8K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Back story: My first "camping rig" was a 6x10 cargo trailer that I built out in to a mini camping rig back in 1993. A year later, I started motorcycling riding, so then it doubled as my motorcycle hauler. In 2003, I upgraded to a Desert Fox 21SW Toy hauler. I used it for 7 camping seasons, until 2009. Earlier that year I decided I wanted to have an RV to camp in, but also go places with my Jeep...

Tutorial on how to install an RV Window The "window upgrade" I mention at the beginning of this video was a project that involved replacing the single pane windows with dual pane windows from Motion Windows in Vancouver, WA They are very nice windows, but only one of them would fit in my 992, so I swapped windows and installed the vertical slider in my 992 and put the solid window from my 992 i...
How To Disable your Microwave when running on inverter power
มุมมอง 1356 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video shows how I conserve power when running on inverter power, by disabling my microwave. I've done this in all of the inverter equipped RVs I've owned. My inverter is wired so it provides power to ALL circuits in my AC breaker panel, which is the reason for doing this mod. The microwave doesn't need to be ON all the time when I'm using the inverter. When it's powered on, the clock is us...

Carry On 5x8 Trailer Overview
มุมมอง 3.7K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
I needed a small, lightweight trailer to tow behind my Polaris Ranger UTV. The small trailers from Carry On trailer seemed to be the best option for my needs. I considered the fold-up channel frame trailers from Harbor Freight, but they need a wood deck installed on them. I didn't want the hassle of trying to maintain a wood deck in the climate I live in since the trailer will be stored outside...
Duramax Glow Plug Replacement - How to fix a P0674 on a Duramax
มุมมอง 2.8Kปีที่แล้ว
My 2009 3500HD with 6.6L Duramax engine suddenly threw a P0674 code. P067x is a glow plug code. The last digit (1 through 8) represents the cylinder number with the failed glow plug. I bought this truck new in 2009. I never drive it in the winter, so it never gets exposed to harsh road chemicals such as road salt and deicer, therefore nothing was corroded in the engine bay. It was a very easy t...

i just bougtht barreto log splitter,do you know what pump from northern tool it was?
Thank you!! About to do 2200 miles 😮💨
Hi there, this is Wibe Kielstra from the Netherlands, One question, I got a Orion 12-12-30 to for my truckcamper and have started the installation today. But i can not get the (25 mm2) 4 gauge wire (neg and pos) in to the small square holes on the bottem of the device. The inner layer of copper is to thick, there is to much copper, the diameter is to much to fit into the hole. how did you manage do that?
The big problem with these inverter generators especially the Honda is if you put bad gas in them or leave gas in them for more than 30 days, they will never run again without major major repair, the pulsar not so sure, but I would never run any generator on any gas that has any quantity of alcohol in it. These little generators sip fuel and the carburetors are tiny with capillary type passages And methanol poisoning is a real issue and will clog them at the drop of the hat and I’ve never had much success in cleaning one replacement is usually the only option if you’re careful with your fuel, you can get them to run along time, but if you’re just gonna go to the gas station and buy automotive gasoline, you may get lucky a little while, but eventually you’re gonna throw $1200 away for the Honda and $400 on the pulsar if it’s set up the same way word caution.
And as far as quality is concerned, the Honda probably is a cut above that pulsar you got there, but I can guarantee you of one thing a tear down would definitely yield evidence that that Honda is made in China exactly like that Chinese engine in that pulsar you got there More or less the same company. everyone is under the impression that those Honda EU generators are made in Japan that is simply not true. There may be a few Japanese parts in there, but the bulk of that generator is just as chai as everyone else.
I only use ethanol free fuel in my Honda EU2200i. I hated how loud the Pulsar was and sold it before I ever used it on a camping trip.
How did you install it? Do you have a video of that?
I don't have a video showing how to install it. Installation is as simple as disconnecting the wires from the original t-stat and connecting each wire to the same terminal on the new t-stat
so many good comments on why this is NOT a valid demonstration. its a system meaning more that one part. each component needs the other for the system to function correctly. i was guilty of being a couple pumps/month guy and calling it good with the wheels on the ground until grease was everywhere and my truck was getting pushed around. unfortunately, some of us have a bd habit of learning the hard way.
Doug, thanks for the trail ride today. I miss rides in the PNW with all the forest areas. Be safe.
Rick, Check out my other channel, which is focused on just riding: www.youtube.com/@DualSportDoug
I found a solution in my travel trailer. I have a primetime tracer, the bedroom has one duct 4 inch. I removed the cover that directs airflow, bought a $16 4 inch square fan on amazon, looks like computer fan and has a knob to adjust speed, claims 160cfm. Came with 4 inch inline ducts and screen to protect fingers. The holes on the fan match up 100% with the 4 holes for vent. I just removed directional cover and bought longer screws. Was a 5 minute install, I happen to have a outlet on ceiling about 6 inches from vent, so looks good and the increase in flow is huge. Even on low it's double what it was, on high it's blowing great. Very happy with the flow now, probably increased it when on high 10x or more, could barely feel it before. Now if I close doors to bedroom, will actually cool down and still allows enough cooling for rest of trailer. I am thinking about adding a 4 inch elbow to have the cold air point directly to bed.
Nice vid. It’s was more of a review vid than a how to buy vid. That’s the reason I came lol wanted to hear about the process of buying it. How much it cost and stuff like that
Info on how to buy is towards the end of the video.
Everyone has a cool story to tell. Im just moving a beat up jeep that my girlfriend wants to keep for her dad when he gets out of prison. XD we are moving from a rent house to our first purchased home so theres that bit of excitement.
Nice work
Thanks! :-)
Cool lights bro, I can tell you really like them, but yeah they are awesome, my dad would be up set with the upgrade, only because he is old school, but once he sees them light up he would not believe what he sees😮
It would have been nice to see a few completed crimps. Thanks anyway.
There is one I saw that is 53 decibels
Great video, thanks. Yours is the first and only one I've seen that showed the tail gate folded in. Also, I just got a newer version of this trailer. I went out to see if my tail gate would fold in like yours, but mind wont. Mind will fold in, but not flat. Good enough I guess.
Glad it was helpful!
Boring
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video
Thx so much for doing this!!!!
Love that floorplan. How difficult do you think it would be to remove the upper bunk so there's more headroom for the lower?
I'm not sure how difficult it would be. I can't go look because I sold this RV about a year ago.
Is that tailgate/ramp sturdy enough to load a riding lawnmower?
I don't think it would be strong enough for a riding mower.
The Arctic Fox will be our next purchase this year. Can’t wait.
You will love it! This is my second Arctic Fox truck camper.
Double sink for sure.
1:24 u got that backwards. If the truck was sitting level, you’d have more clearance, not less.
So the handle is a total POS, but you DID give me an idea of how to cage that sucker.
Concrete cement mixer
I've seen those for sale as well.
I just bought one yesterday
I bought one today

Off topic question can you use non dually trucks to install these type of trailers?
I don't really know what you mean by "install these types of trailers" My Arctic Fox isn't a "trailer"
@@deltabravo1257 I think you need to check the definition of what a trailer is..let me do it for you * A trailer is any mobile home.*.. Now that you know what I mean answer the fkn question nerd
Was the tongue jack a Lippert jack? When I contacted Lippert and asked about the second set of holes on the jack so I could rotate the head, they said they didn't have has jacks with untapped holes. What gives?
Yes, it's a Lippert Jack. I bought the same jack a month ago for my cargo trailer and it didn't even have the second set of holes drilled. I had to drill them, then tap the threads in.
Hey what size hitch ball do u use
This trailer uses a 2" ball.
This trailer uses a 2" ball
Was wondering because. I just bought a 5x8 trailer used and I have 2 ball on my truck but it doesn’t fit but it does fit 1-78 ball so I’m guessing it’s 1-78 coupler
Thanks I didn’t know about the lever
Nice trailer and very cost effective I will get one for my 8ft bass buster great vid thanks
The links are very helpful.
GREAT INFO!!!! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Hmm not sure here…. I’ve had these hubs since 2019 on a 23’ travel trailer… use this exact unloaded greasing technique…hauled our trailer all overMI …1000 mi trips… on to Canada same miles. …..over4 Years of travel……if… If a failure would of occurred it Would!!!! Follow rules asDexter says …. Take short cuts and you will be on the side of the 😂.
Is there a maximum speed you can go with those tires? Are they rated for more than 45 mph?
Tires are marked Speed Rating "L" 75 MPH.
Exactly what I was looking for. I have a solar charger on my batteries so I dont want to suck power from my power station to charge the batteries.
How do you reset the brake cable pedal on a auto transport system?
I don't know.
Why did you drill through to the interior of the Nash? Thanks.
The video explains it.
Dude, did you really lay a metal screw driver across the top of your battery. Truly digging the LED light. Do you prefer the yellow or white for the C light? Does the headlight drown out either color more?
i prefer amber. THe headlight doesn't drown out either color. There's nothing wrong with laying tools on my battery. It makes a nice tool shelf when working under the hood.
Thanks for showing it with the slide in. I'm considering a 24rls... Are you still happy with yours?
I was happy with it during the short 4 months I owned it. I sold it because I realized it was too big for one person and also a too big to easily get it parked in my space at home.
My question is what do you do with the red and yellow wires that came from the start capacitor and were I plugged? Leave them unplugged? If so, it looks like no wires are connected to the start capacitor post install?
It's been several years ago that I installed this unit. I don't remember if there were any wires left connected to the start capacitor or not.
Great setup...I think this is the perfect setup...much easier to travel with too.
Definitely!
Just to know how long does the CR123 battery last? Thx.
I've been using the same battery since 2020.
I had to heat one bolt to get it to break loose.
But what happens when it’s raining on travel day and the tongue jack is exposed to rain?
It would get wet.
why would you need to run the eu2200i more than nine hours? It only takes a few minutes to refuel the less tha 1 gallon tank to run for another 9 hours.
An EU2000 or 2200 won't run nine hours on a full tank of gas when running a roof A/C, other high draw loads. It might only run 2 hours, maybe less.
So you fill it at 6pm and at 3am it cuts off because it’s out of gas. Do you like getting up at 3am and going outside with a flashlight to “just put one gallon” in the tank? And it won’t run 9 hours. 8 with a minimal load. During our last hurricane I would have been delighted to have 24 hour or more runtime.
Great video - thanks!!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video, wanted to see if these trailers came with straps and how everything worked. Wheel chocks certainly help but you should always put your parking brake on when loading or unloading a trailer.
Yep, parking brake applied when I loaded it up.
Even with a new rear seal you can blow grease past it - I speak from experience. ALWAYS rotate the wheel, pump grease slowly, and do it in warm (overnight) weather when the grease flows more easily.
Thanks!
Always appreciated if something doesn't work out, suggesting new ideas or different routes to achieve the goal.
