GOODBYE CH751 RV Key!

I finally found a replacement lock for my water tank fill hatch that can be keyed to match my entry door. Coincidentally, I found it from a place I'd purchased all my other compartment locks from, so it was a no-brainer to order it from them and have it keyed to match my other locks. They also have a non locking thumb-turn style latch, which some RV owners may prefer for the water fill hatch. Links to both are below.

Be sure to add a comment for your Key Code and that you need the short (stubby) cam arm if your current water hatch lock as a stubby arm like I show in the video.

Because I camp remotely most of the time, I decided to replace the original lock with a another lock rather than a thumb-turn latch. I don't want someone dumping unmentionables in my water tank.

It’s always good to upgrade locks but when the door is plastic and can have a finger jab break into it. Well it’s doesn’t really matter if you have a lock or not.

If someone tried to jab their finger through the plastic to break the plastic, they'd break their finger first.

@@deltabravo1257 I said this because when I purchased my camper it came with one and jokingly I jabbed it. Needless to say now I have a metal door lock system that is meant for a cars gas tank. Now it will take more than a finger jab to get into my water supply.
