I’m liken how your ideas are for small workshops
Nice job, great ideas
Fantastic idea, thanks for sharing!
I would paint the new cover. After watching your video, I now know how I am going to change my dust issues with my old Delta bandsaw, and it will have paint to match the rest of the saw.
Paint it…the rest of the saw will appreciate that…😎
Excellent video Greg, thank you. One question, I need to also replace the top of the cabinet (before installing the new sink) which has delaminated and looks pretty bad due to water damage below the Formica top laminate. Do you have a video to do that?
I have your Bandsaw's baby brother ( 1953 10" ). I have been looking for a riser block but can not find one 😞
AWESOME STUFF! Looks very affordable too.
Love this! You do woodworking like I do. Mistakes happen. Most content providers “never” make mistakes, but you have the courage to show the real process
Very nice, thanks so much for this video. Very informative.
A solution without a problem. Just use the fuse.
I was waiting for it... 😬 Kudos for not trying to sugar-coat it. We've all been there. Thanks for the vid!
I got one and love it. Recommend you put threadlocker on the allen screws on the adjustment end as well as the spring-loaded adjustment pin in the back. They will be wanting to back out until you do.
Do you have a part number for the adjustment pin you used?
@shwagonvids My original allen screws backed out on me before I could put the threadlocker on. I called Harbor Freight, and they did not jave replacement screws, but I figured it out. The allen screws are M5 x 50, which you can pick up at Ace Hardware for about $1.79 apiece. The adjustment pin never got lost, but I do not know the part number for it.
congrats . . . did you consider a long slot opening for dust collection vs the round port ?
Getting more into diy projects. Great informative vid. I'm happy to see them side by side. Thanks you sir
Missing transfer on this pic
What amp fuses?
10 or 15 amp
Great little build! I didn't understand the "ground to the box", did you mean, one ground wire went to the outlet in the box, er?
Wow, very intelligent idea to move the router so it pushes into the fence....thanks a lot. I am lucky that I saw this video.
Hey Greg! Glad to see you on here and in CV! There's still a group of us coming for the annual CV trip at the end of the month. Charlie and myself are both thinking about getting property out there. Although he's thinking in town for the water and power and i would like to be further out. Thanks for the great videos and maybe we'll see you out there again sometime, for some prairie doggin!
Thanks for video sir. Does the unit come with the Bosch offset router wrenches or do you have to buy separately?
The 6 1/2” has a slot to hold the Allen wrench.
Does anyone know if these tables would work for a dewalt router?
Awesome stuff. If you want to learn this trade, this is the place to start. And I’ve been doing this 40 years.
Great design, I've been looking for something similar
Yes, Gregg the cost for the system would be nice to know even if just an estimate, we have property out there also and are looking at adding a site for summer vacationing ourselves. Please keep the videos coming and you might want to add the name of the company that put in the system.
I like the way you made your bench starting from the ground up it just made me look at it in a different way. I also just received my SawStop CTS and looking forward to setting it up in a bench like yours ❤❤❤❤
I got this vice, but the swiveling on the vertical axis doesn’t work. I’ve loosened the back detent or I’ve pulled the back, but it still doesn’t swivel. It only swivels horizontally.
how much do these cost? thanks, do you have a number for the dealer? txs again
seeing all these obvious mistakes and bad hose setup makes my confidence skyrocket. thank you for the video, you are a legend
I have this same table and love it, but I'd add one more step to the assembly process. Since it's made of MDF, I'd suggest coating all exposed MDF areas with a spray enamel clear. The exposed ends and bolt holes, such as on the fence boards, will eventually absorb humidity and swell. I took everything apart that needed coating, such as the miter slot guide and router base plate, taped off the Formica and sprayed the edges of the MDF where those parts fit in. Don't use a water-based urethane or any other water-based product to do this! The table is now properly sealed and should last for a very long time, but it would have been much easier to do had I done it from the start. This is the 3rd router table I've owned and it's the best, by far.
Nice video, I see you had a Bosch 4100 I'm curious how it compares in power? As a hobbyist I've had several saws over the years from cabinet to small table tops. I've had the 4100 for several years and never had a power issue. I'm thinking of a saw stop but not sure how it would compare since the 4100 is rated up to 4hp. I know that 4hp may be arbitrary but it is what Bosch prints on the saw. Thanks!
In your list of items used for your dust collection you have a Rockler swivel fitting - but when I watched your video I didn't see where you have it in place. Also, how long is your hose to the top saw guard port? Thanks!
Excellent design!
Really sweet modifications. I’m going to use your T-track idea. Their lift adjustment needs re-engineering… every time I need to change the height of the bit I’m so annoyed I have to unclamp the router and then re-clamp which makes micro adjustments very difficult. Great video man ❤
That was great man! Keep up the nice work!
Gen 2 is coming out soon. Suppose to be a big improvement. This one is already good.
Perfect thank you !
Wood bondo.
It’s just a lil scratch no one will know…. Take the dust and mix with some e6000 and fill it up, sand it, and paint it. next time put that sucka in a choke hold! 😂
This is very help full I just got one of these tables and wanted to do the same thing. I learned from you. Thank You for the video. Can you tell me the bit you used in your router. Where and what model is that flange you installed after you cut the lip off of it.
Great job on this I wish you made a video on the cabinet work under the husky table but mine has 2 drawers under it. I have the same table and neve thought of doing what you did under yours. Ty
Just take drawers off. The tables are same except one comes with the drawers. The drawerless model still has the holes for the drawers. Same same.
Great video!!
Question- if a 10” jointer is enough to face a board, why do we need 13” to plane the other side?
To make them parallel. Other wise they may be dead flat, but not to each other.
Is it possible to send your dimensions.
Thanks for your video and for making and admitting your mistakes! Question #1: is that t-track a Bosch accessory or one that you fabricated? Question #2: I have a Metabo 2.25hp router. I'm thinking it will fit this table but what are your thoughts? Thanks again. I've been looking for a router table and this Bosch seems to be a good one for my diy needs.
what a great idea. I have the husky 2-drawer version and was trying to come up with a similar idea. Thank you so much for posting this video.
So any updates on your property in Christmas valley??? Have you looked into water?
Great design. Subscribed.
Well done and you did things in the right order. I built the flip cart first because I need some plywood to move my gun safe so I bought some sanded plywood to lay down in the pickup. I laughed when I saw how close of clearance on the Wahuda when experiencing the same thing. I did the same thing, shimmed out the top with some washer. Also, like your locking mechanism. I may change out my slide bolts using the same locking mechanism. Thanks for the great video, I am now new subscriber.😊
