Hi! I make videos on tech tips and tricks that will make your life easier.
On this channel you'll find content helping you use various computer applications (stuff like browsers, MS office and various google apps), Windows itself (sorry I don't have a MacBook... yet), and potentially the odd website or interesting technology thing I thought would be cool to share.
Yes, this is an absolutely tiny channel but if you learned something new please do drop a comment letting me know, I'd really appreciate the support!

1000 Subscribers on YouTube in 6 Months, Here's What I Learned.
Just a few days ago I managed to hit 1000 subscribers for this channel after consistently uploading to TH-cam for 6 months. In this quick video, I just want to share a few thoughts and experiences that I picked up along the way and what I learned as part of the process. Many people reach 1000 subscribers and some maybe in only a couple of uploads, but as someone who had zero experience of anything content creation related just 6 months ago, I am very pleased with how far the channel has come. Thank you everyone has subscribed, left a comment or simply just watched any of my videos, I really do appreciate it! :)

I watched your 10 free windows apps video the other day and i was heavily surprised when i saw your subscribe count, you are way underrated. Keep going.
Ah thanks so much, I really appreciate the kind words! No worries, more videos on the way soon! 🙂
Great video. Flow launcher is a great suggestion. I also considered the screenshot tool you recommend but I think the default snipping tool works fine for me. Would be great if you made a second part.
Thanks so much, glad you found it useful! I've got a few similar videos on various windows apps on the way so stay tuned (maybe one on screenshot tools.....). There was a "part 1" (if you want to call it that) to this video below if you're interested. Thanks for the comment :) th-cam.com/video/rhjt7mWGTMw/w-d-xo.html
Number 11 fix: switch to Linux
I was so tempted to end the video with that as some sort of bonus tip! lol XD
That's really handy. I am so unimpressed by windows 10 and 11
You forgot linux
Haha lol XD
AltSnap ... OMG... such a beautiful tool. Thank you!!
No worries! Glad I was able to help! :D
A big congratulations to you bro
Cheers man, I appreciate your comment and support! :)
Can you suggest a third party software to copy paste chat notes massages from laptop to phone phone to pc?
If I understand correctly the applications that come to mind are tools like Google keep, the Microsoft phone link application as well as the Microsoft swift key application. The last 2 are good clipboard syncing tools I believe. Hope that helps.

"Installs macOS"
Haha lol XD, looks like someone found the Easter egg in the thumbnail! Thanks for the comment 👍
Arc is quite nice compared to other browsers like chrome and edge, but once you know Arc in MacOS, Arc in Windows feels like absolute garbage. Zen on the other hand, despite being in alpha, shows a lot of potential, rivalling MacOS Arc, and since it is firefox based, a lot less privacy issues
Thanks a lot, I appreciate the thorough comment and insights. As someone who hasn’t used macOS or arc on there for that matter, this info is valuable as others might be in a similar boat to myself. A lot of people have also commented zen and I might need to look into this, but Yh, it’s interesting to hear your take.

Some pictures viewer like Honeyview is missed to view the pictures for photos replacement.
My bad and valid point, there are probably some good photo replacement applications out there but just didn’t manage to fit them all in as I wanted to keep the list at 10 items. Thanks for the suggestion, might feature it in another video 👍
Love your channel
Ah thanks man, really appreciate it!
Congratulations bro 🎉
Cheers man! Really appreciate the support! 😎
Congrats
Thanks! :)
Isnt it somehow embarissing that Intel has to do the work with Unison of Windows and Apple?
Interesting take
Microsoft Edge Browser is far better than most other browsers now. Millions use it daily.
Woaaah... Congratulations 🎉!
Thanks so much! Great to see your comment once again! :)
you should try okular instead of sumatra
very nice video btw liked and subbed! :DD
Ah amazing, thank you so much for subscribing and the support, I really appreciate it! Never heard of okular before, I’ll check it out! 🙂
I like your style crisp and informative thats made me subscribe to you
Thanks a lot man! I appreciate the kind words and thank you for subscribing! :)
as a drummer, any Channel that uses hands-n-motion is...the BEST for me :-) yeah, computer stuff is cool here, too!
Nice one! Great to hear and thanks for your comment! I’ve been contemplating keeping the hand recording shots in or not but I think it breaks up the video from endless screen recordings! :D
Bruhh. U r underrated
Ah, thanks, appreciate it a ton! :D
I really like your video! But about the Everything, I'd personally use PowerToys + Everything plugin since PT has all other useful tools like PowerRename and ColorPicker which I use quite a lot And regarding the Arc Browser I'm more of a Firefox user so I'm using Zen instead and it's visually appealing to me While I don't use Sumatra PDF, I'd prefer PDFelement which even though is a freemium it has a modern UI and simple Settings Overall not bad of a video
Congrats 🎉 Keep moving forward ✊ 0:45 I got a shout out-haha!
Thanks so much XD! It took me a moment to realise what you meant! Appreciate the comment! 🙂
I just subscribed after watching your last video, good job

What is that laprop?
Hey there, my laptop is the XPS 15 9510. I’ve been using it for around 3 years and made a video on it here if you’re interested :) th-cam.com/video/j-g7ng-chqA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3Ut1jy4qQGbb2iNo
The worst note taking app in existence
Interesting, what app do you prefer to use?
@@Productive_Tech Apple Notes.
@@TheAntrimRambler Apple notes is pretty decent though the only drawback is that it's best within the ecosystem only. Access on other devices is not always the best experience hence I use OneNote. If I had a mac I'd probably use that instead but that's not feasible for me currently.
Intel Unison might be good, but I prefer Pairdrop. No apps needed if you want to transfer files
What laptop are you using mate?

Arc is such an overrated browser.
Interesting, a lot of people have also commented the zen browser as a better alternative
PDF. I prefer the free PDF24 over Sumatra that I didn't like.
Cool, thanks for the PDF24 suggestion
I will rate Auto dark mode good Flow launcher good Unison not needed windows phone link is much better or can also try Quick share from windows store Winaero tweaked good Nilesoft shell good Dopamine not needed windows media player is better Fx sound good if don't have any other eq tuner in pc Arc browser its a overrated crap just use Microsoft edge or firefox Sumata pdf nah just use just use pdf reader thats buildin Edge it can do most of the tasks Sharex nah just use windows snipping tool
Interesting.. thanks for your breakdown
Do you have to keep showing your hands bro?
Well obviously I don't have to but just thought it helps to break the video up instead of having endless screen recordings. Maybe this is something I could change in the future but I haven't had any other comments saying it's an issue? Open to feedback really as I'm still trying to find a suitable video format.
You forgot ctt‘s winutil. Best windows application thats out there.
Use syncthing probably most of the sharing apps is based on this. So this is perfect no internet required.
is there one to fix UI inconsistencies? cuz that's what's been bugging me lately
I had come across a few previously but I think all of them are generally more on the unstable side according to people online. Yh I agree windows could be dissected at this point as an example of "how to make inconsistent UI's" but hopefully it improves in the future.
Actually, I do remember a tool called Rectify 11 which aims to improve the Windows 11 UI inconsistencies but it appears their website is undergoing some updates rn. The last time I checked it a few months back the website was actually looking pretty good with some big promises. Though it does make some big changes so people should install it at their own risk. I'm sure you can find more information about it online.
@@Productive_Tech future? i have lost hope man its been 3 years already, if they wanted to they would've
@@Alikk784 Yh I was definately being more optimistic there.... Microsoft really need to get their act together regarding actually providing a good consistent user experience. I mean as many other views have suggested - Linux? Or should I even consider MacOS at this point? Needless to say both are increasing in market share slowly so you'd think that Microsoft can get it together before it's too late
Music Center for PC, Bitwarden, FreeFileSync, ThunderBird 😘
Thanks a lot. I have a question. Do you know if with dopamine I can synchronize songs with an iPod as iTunes do?
No worries, unfortunately I don’t think dopamine allows you to do that, it seems to be just a simple jukebox/audio player application for locally stored files. Although there are applications out there, I haven’t found a good alternative to iTunes for that purpose that don’t have issues (I too have some old iPods). Will let you know if I find one though. :)
@@Productive_TechThanks
Incredible video really helped me
No worries! Glad it was helpful, thanks for the comment! :)
Honorable mention for pdf should be "PDF Gear," which is far better than any other pdf reader or editor. For now it is free. There are a lot better options available.
Idk why but Microsoft Edge pdf viewer is just too good for a browser pdf viewer
Interesting thanks for sharing that one. The interface really does look quite nice on that one, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes paid at some point.
Yep, as far as built in pdf viewers for browsers go, it’s one of the better ones that I’ve tried so far
Good work, very insightful watched a fair few windows apps vids pretty much always suggesting the same ones. I was pleasantly surprised there was a few I'd find usefu thatl I've not heard of before. I've subbed.
Ahh, great to hear you found it useful and thank you for subscribing, I really appreciate it! I’ll have more windows content and similar style videos coming soon, so be sure to keep an eye out for those :)
Fully agree on sumatra pdf, it's excellent. Adobe reader was getting slower and heavier with each update. Added bonus for sumatra, it can also open e-book formats(e-pub, mobi etc) with no issues. For music player, Aimp is great alternative too, plus has extra tools(edit tags, convert formats to name a few). Browser, might be called crazy, Opera always did right by me(the regular kind, haven't used gx tho). Full video on arc, you say?
Thanks a lot for your comment and the added info on various applications. I don't think its crazy to use opera XD, you should just use what works best for you but still be open-minded about trying other alternatives I'd say. In regards to arc definitely planning to do a video on it but it might be quite a few videos out as I want to try it thoroughly and then give a breakdown of it as well as a verdict, so stay tuned. I'll have similar-style videos to this one coming out in the meantime :)
@@Productive_Tech No problem, test it as thoroughly as you can. The aimp player is much like old winamp, with added functionality and regular updates(even use it on android since retiring my xperia zr, which came with walkman player they later butchered). What drew me to opera was the speed dial(extensions mimicking it are available) later it got the built-in vpn(and now aria ai, haven't tried it yet).
@@ivanivanovic5586 Great, some solid info once again, speed dial looks interesting, thanks for sharing!
Well done!
Thanks so much! :)
5:45 best PDF software is "PDF GEAR" Thanks me letter!!
Decent recommendations. Prefer open source. Thank you.
No worries, thanks for the comment, appreciate it! 🙂
why do you so equip closed source vindows to get “freedom” and some kind of “Fix All the Major Problems”. When there is open source linux ?
I was mainly sharing/referring to "free" software for windoourcedws 11 that would actually have visible benefits to an everyday end-user without worrying too much whether the software was open or closed-s. Not necessarily to get this "freedom" but just to improve the overall experience with some quality-of-life features. I agree if you really want open source then Linux is a solid option, however, for many people, it simply isn't feasible due to the workflow built up over decades or certain applications that people might rely on daily.
Ive tried Arc, but I prefer Zen.
So many people have suggested this browser and seems to be on a lot of people's radar at the moment. I really need to check it out. Thanks for the comment.
Zen is the fastest browser I've ever used. It removes all the unnecessary bloatware from base Firefox like pocket and adds the best from Arc like split tabs.
Zen just works better on Windows than arc.
Same
@@TheAmazingBobl Interesting, thanks for the detailed reply and breakdown! 👍
a browser you need acounts to use
Fair point
Lightshot has been found to have security vulnerabilities
Does it? I hadn't heard about this, if so, thanks for the info
Arc on windows is just shetz
The more I look into it the more mixed reviews I hear, out of curiosity what would be your pick(s) for your browser of choice? A lot of viewers have suggested Zen recently
