Good info. I was looking for stretch information in case you assembled them that way. 2" under head length on the ARP bolt turns out to be 0.0060" - 0.0066" if you ever start doing assembly using the stretch method. I also found the OEM bearings didn't have any spring in them anymore and would easily come out of the rod/cap. Where as the ACL race series I swapped for positively lock in to the rod and cap with tang properly.

Usually on this era VW sender unit, the wire/s from the sender cap contacts to the rheostat will have broken internally - if you test the resistance across the 2 sender terminals, they will read OL - it's almost never the rheostat itself. Remove the sender out of the car, no need to disconnect the fuel lines, solder in a new piece of wire & it works again. That fixes 9 out of 10 of these sender units.

In process of building a 12v vrt and curious what exactly made you go from micro squirt to fuel tech. I was leaning towards fuel tech and was told micro squirt will give me what I need for a street car for a fraction of the price. I’m shooting for about 500hp. Some feedback would be awesome 🤙🏻

For further clarity the purple and yellow (gold) wire is pin 10 on the white connector in the mk4 rain tray.

Excuse my horrible english. I have a suggestion for you: I own a Seat Cordoba AHU converted into AFN and is a very easy task. The turbo punch is more pregressive, but the final power is much bigger. Anyway, if i´m not wrong, you switched the 0,190 AHU noozles into a 0,216. AFN noozles are 0,210. To get more power, you must increase the fuel quantity moving the upper case of the fuel pump and checking it with the VagCom.
