I am looking to get a precision bolt gun in 22 lr so I appreciate videos like yours to help with my decision. I've been leaning towards this rifle and I think you covered the most popular ammo available. I've been using a stock 10 / 22 with the same results as far as the ammo my gun shot well. I managed a sub moa group at 100 with Green Tag. Thanks for sharing.

Ive heard that the Bergera factory chambers these rifle to perform with Eley ammo. So this video really validated the information i heard about Eley rounds.

For the price of this gun you can't beat it there ain't nothing to complain about for $300 bucks or under

The reason Lee doesn't recommend bulge busting 9mm Lugar cases this way is that if you drop one of the cases upside down the plunger will slide into the open case and will crack the carbide ring on the die. That's why they also don't supply a 9mm sleeve in the kit as it would/ could bend or break the press.people get to running this press real fast and don't pay attention.

Mine prefers Lapua to the Eley. I suspect slight differences in head space ? Most anything shoots good at 50 . After that it starts getting picky .

I just bought one a month ago. I never had any issues. As soon as I bought it, I polished the ramp cleaned took it to the Range for the first time. Shot 350 fmj and some hollow points with out any issues. I love the gun and I believe Taurus has improved a lot. Love the TX22 a lot. He safety does not bother me. I bought two extra magazines. Found them to be a little expensive at $45.00.

I love my TX22 as well.....over 5000 rounds fired with zero failures...all CCI Stingers or Federal Punch flat nose rounds...

Not to find fault, however, when the shell plate is brought down, you seat the primer, set a bullet on top of the casing on it 3rd stage because its read to seat a bullet as normal, I feel its a waste of time dealing with the bullet feeder, logic is, You have to load the bullets right side up in the tubes and loading those tubes takes time. in another way it takes longer than not using it at all because you have to load the bullet feed tubes when it gets empty. uninstalling and installing the feed tubes. I DO appreciate that you go a speed that is safe with your machine and watch it closely as you process ammunition, the Lee is a good machine, however you have to go it's speed and watch everything to make sure that every thing is being done. and that go's with every machine. some people try to set a speed record with it and that is how failures at the range happen or a pistol blows up. A man who doesn't like safety's on a gun is incompetent to use such a device. Ignorance is no excuse for ignoring gun safety. Machinal or between the ears! If too incompetent to use a safety, How the hell can I or anyone else trust you with a gun period? Much less with no safety?

Both your failures on camera happened on the first round of the magazine. For whatever reason when you reload after the slide slams itself forward you then check the ammo and do a press check. I bet you if you stop taking it out of battery immediately after you just put it into battery you might have a lot less first round failures. Just my opinion. Worth a shot. I know you already know better than I do but if you can't take some constructive criticism than shame on you. There is no practical need to verify 1st round battery and I CAN guarantee you that It does not happen in a fire fight. Tbh it creates more problems than it solves. I truly believe the 2 failures on camera were operator imposed and not the weapon itself.

I consider myself a mid-tier gun snob and viewed Taurus as a budget brand. After a good experience with the KelTec P17 (a more budget brand) I decided to give the compact a try. Like it enough to purchase the first version with the OG slide instead of the new one that mimics the compact.

JB weld and play sand mix, works as good as concrete and it's waterproof and very rigid.

As precision 22s go i have a few now and have many over the years and those results are what i would expect from a savage mk 2 and maybe not as good as a mk 2 I think you recieved a lemon.
