In this 3rd and final episode of the build of 2 Hard Top Targa Infills for a Seawind 1160 Catamaran I complete the fairing and final layers fo Polyurethane Finishes and ultimately install them on ten boat on Sydney Harbour.

    Great Advice! Also; during the final cleaning, I spray into a torn-off section of an old towel so the acetone doesn't fly back into my face. Then; you can use the towel to clean the gun because it's already soaked with acetone. Thanks for the video! Scotty

    You are a fountain of knowledge and have a way of sharing it. When you say something you also give us the 'why' behind it. Much easier to understand and remember so we dont make the same mistakes. Not interested in kayak making yet but I get so much tips on wet laminating. Thanks!

    Great video man lots of valuable information I have a few question for you. Did you used Gel Coat with Paraffin?and how many coats? When should the one without Paraffin be used and how many coats before giving the one with Paraffin? Where do you buy spray gel coat?

    Love the series. Just about to re-seam my first boat which has needed some repairs. Following your videos as a guide! Using a polyester gel and flowcoat, how long between finishing coating the flowcoat and removing the masking tape do you wait? Thanks!

      I generally use foam and wooden bracing glued and glassed to the moulds to stiffen where required.

      You would have to create an internal flange mould or biscuit tin lid join Can definately do it.Ross

    Thanks a bunch for this video it helped me figure out how to fix my loose kayak coaming on an old fiberglass kayak. Went super smooth making the u shaped channel and then back filling with thickened epoxy. Love all your videos and thanks again!

      Simply mix about 10percent wax in styrene to mske flow coat and you can spray onto external surface then sand and polish to a finish.Rossco

    Get the 3M pps system.Throw away the liner and clean out the gun in a fraction of the time with 1/10 of the solvent.
