Go ahead and delete this shi 🤦
0:31 do you find that all the 2 in 1 Head&Shoulders are equally good at removing the pomade? Or is the one that you showed here (the almond infused one) better than the others?
@@WheelBite0_0 yeah, any head and shoulders should work in removing the pomade. I get mine at Costco and I always grab whatever bottle they have.
Oil and water don't mix. If you apply Murray's to damp or wet hair, you lose a lot of the hold. Best way to get the true Murray's hold, is to dry your hair completely, take a hair dryer and soften up the Murray's while it's still in the can and then apply it. Fun fact : when Murray's first came out back in the 20s or 30s, it was packed in the same metal tin as today because originally you were supposed to set the can on your stove and let it soften up that way. Never apply Murray's straight from the can without softening it up with heat first. That way you can apply it to dry hair as intended.
Do you wash it out every night? If so, what’s your routine?
@@TheThunderWeasel yes, I use 2 pumps of head and shoulders every morning , and it removes about 90% of it. I then reapply it to my hair before I comb my hair.
Hi! Could you please share the link for the shampoo?
Head and Shoulders can be found just about anywhere. Walgreens, Walmart, you name it. Should be easy to find.
It’s good seeing a guy with thick curly hair doing this. Me and you got the same hair type so you’re my go-to guy for hair matters
When you wore these raw, did you get much indigo staining / crocking on your other clothes?
@@sam1207 not at all
Niiiiiice
U killed this look UNC !
How do you ensure that it doesn’t clog the hair follicles? Do you find thorough scrubbing with shampoo on the scalp enough?
@@WheelBite0_0 I suppose there's no way to prevent the pomade from going all the way down, but it helps that I apply it on the top surface instead of going through my hair with my fingers.
@Modern Vintage Lifestyles Drop a tutorial of this specific hairstyle it looks excellent.
this is the type of video ive been looking for i have similar hair
You can also try a lighter oil-based pomade: Pan Drwal Greasy Wax Pomade, Prospector's Crude Oil, Sweet Georgia Brown Red, Suavecito Oil-Based etc. These are all less ticky but still do the job perfectly.
Mix it with a dab of blue magic. I've been using it since the 90s
"Go ahead" used 3 times in the 1st 13 seconds 😮
Ok but you didn't show how to stay for free, bait video
Well, once you have the points, you can use the points you earned to stay for free. I made another video showing how to transfer points to Hyatt to book the room.
Where do you get your haircuts at? is it a barber that you know personally?
Yes, I get may haircuts by a lady who's been cutting my hair for 20 years
@@modernvintagelifestyles Nice! I used to go to salons but now I am starting to realise the importance of getting your hair cut by the same person.
@@WheelBite0_0 the thing with salons is that they don't know how to do tapers or fades... You need a barber.
Great lesson! Your videos are prettu unique on TH-cam, not much Hepcat content here. Hope you come back around at some point.
Thank you!
4:44 what are you getting ready for the apocalypse 😂
Because I get 5 cans? Haha, may as well. I don't really shop at Walmart other than to buy Murray's.
@@modernvintagelifestyles Yea it makes sense, especially considering that these pomades pretty much don’t expire.
I used 2 or 3 dabs. Ima stick to one like you. I mix my murrays with hair dressing pomade.
what are the length measurements of your haircut? looks great!
Thank you. I just ask for a low taper and a little off the top. The key is to have the top kinda long and the sides short, just like elvis.
@@modernvintagelifestyles thank you! got some murrays just today for the first time in years after watching your vids all week!!
yeah thanks! Ima try and spray water everytime before I put product from now on. I did bought a water sprayer a few days ago what a coincidence.
wow I'm so distracted by your crazy pinky fingers. anyhoo, I love that you keep your left hand above her head during her turns. Guys don't get that they should make a little donut over the head so she stays centered. too many are wildly turning throwing the girl off her balance. cheers.
i learned the hard way to keep my hand up. I used to mess up girls nice hairdo's while dancing and i could tell they were pained whenever I'd do so.
Head and Shoulders is trash bruv
Your hair looks like shit though
Check if that long sleeve Hawaiian shirt. That's made in California if that's from the original Gray shop that was put in Catalina island which became a spoon or later, check it out.See if that's what it was
Cool
You’re the best hepcat in the world 😊
You dance like an angle 😊
Bought a can today because as I'm hitting 44 my hair needs more moisture & scalp psoriasis isn't helping as well. I'm hoping the pomade adds some scalp moisture too. Haven't used pomade since my teens.
I use way more than a finger full. Because I'm not looking fot waves. I want my hair to slick back and I have extremely course and curly hair. Mexican here. And I like a sleek look that won't curl after just a few hours. I'll use a comb and scoop some out. And start running the comb through. Washing the comb out after every 5 runs. And then I just let it be for a few days. Wearing a shower cap to better preserve while I shower. After 2 or 3 days. I'll do a light wash. Leaving shampoo in while dry for about 5 minutes. On a thorough day. I'll wash it out 2 days in a row and then reapply. I just worry I'm combing too hard and losing hair. But can't tell yet if it's causing baldness. I've been using it for about a month now. And am happy with the results. Also. I have hair maybe twice as long as the guy in the video. Who seems to want the waves
Italiano?
Mexican descent
I had long and thick curly hair and recently shaved it all off. I left just enough of a fringe to style. I hate having to blow dry, use an iron etc. I bought some Murray's and this video is exactly what I was looking for! Let me tell you, life is much easier with short hair.
Thank you so much for sharing, this has helped me tremendously
Thank you so much for this video. I had to learn the hard way that I need to have wet hair before applying Murray's 😂 live and learn I guess, no worries.
What if I can’t spend $200 on a shirt?
Very nice
Try suavacito
I made a video of me trying it. Check it out in my list of videos
First off, this stuff is for designed for people of color as their hair is quite different than other peoples hair. Secondly, if you feel you want to use this greesy kid stuff, you need to use only a very small application of it. Third, just wash your hair every other day without putting anymore of it into your hair, it will eventually wash out of your hair. This hinges upon how much of an application your putting in your hair, or in other words, don't put a whole jar of this greesy kid stuff in your hair and you won't have an issue trying to wash it back out of your hair. Simple fact.
Uhhh, you do not have 90% of Murrays out of your hair. You have years of "build-up" that allows you to use only one finger scoop per use. Not wanting to insult or make trouble, but you are giving inaccurate info on oil -based pomade. You list this as a de-greasing video and its not, you are misleading newbies who want to know about oil -based pomades.
I can remove all of it in 2 washes.
Why does music have to be so loud?..i didn't understand some of the things you said because of that
I agree. I should have turned it down a bit.
15 years using Murray’s and only on can #3 😂
1 can lasts me like 3 months.
@@modernvintagelifestyles that’s still a great rate. One can of royal crown last me about the same, but I like mine a little more pliable.
You remind me of a mafia boss.
I used olive oil and washed my hair with dish soap 10x still in my hair. Its been 7 days. Never again.
It should only take 2-3 washes using head and shoulders. How much did you use?
@@modernvintagelifestyles I have long thick curly hair. I had to use quite a bit to get the desired style, I would say 3 or 4 quarter sized dollops. but it should still wash out shouldnt it?
@@prettypyrenees it will wash out for sure.
I use head and shoulders and this shit still ain’t coming out 😆
sometimes it will take more than one wash to completely get it washed off, depending on how much pomade you started out with.
but it will come off.
I’ve just completely stopped using any product in my hair , balding doesn’t run in my family but still I don’t want to risk losing my hair 😂 also I wash my hair every 3 or 4 days, ofc I rinse/clean my hair every day in the shower 🚿, my hair rn looks and feels so healthy
When is our king coming back !! 😊😢👑
Jesus, the king of kings will return one day 🙏. I will make the other videos soon tho. 😊
Great video my wife and I are learning this now! 😊
How many hours it lasts ? This pomade
All day
It's an oil-based pomade, it lasts until you wash it out!!!
How do you clean white bucks?
JumpBluesRichard! I use a white buck eraser and brush. They actually sell it at target.
