    Have you ever had a sylk-e-lyke shirt? I picked one up from my local vintage store it’s sorta like a faux silk and is machine washable it had the five buttons but it is vertical hole and the collar loop

      5 buttons sounds like mid to late 50s, but you can really tell by the collar. It's it long and pointy? Does it have stitching on top of the collar?
      Either way, sounds 50s.

      I actually dated it to late fifties the colar isn’t that long and rounded off a bit somewhat like the bing Crosby shirt in this video

      Most of my shirts are either mid to late fifties to early sixties and majority are from pennies

    Hey Mario..advice on care for gabardine shirts? Managed to shrink one already washing and drying. They also are really.apt to lose shape..look kinda flopsy or flimsy or some other word I can't think of. Can u starch em?

      Dry clean only is the way to go. I'd take it to the cleaners and see if they can bring it back to life. I only use the dry cleaners.
