- My tip for making applying Murray's pomade! If you've been losing hair, it's probably because you block your pores by applying Murrays directly to the base. Murrays is practically thicker vaseline, so yes, it will block your pores, but not if you do it this way!
He’s being using Murray’s pomade for 16 years and still using the same can
My brother gave me about 1/5 of a can at father's funeral 8 years ago which I am still using.
Have you ever used Murray’s vintage edition? The art on the can is original from the 20s along with the original scent
I haven't. I've seen the can you're talking about. Where can it be found?
Edit. Ah, I see the Murray's site sells it.
I actually just found out about it I seen it on amazon for around 5 or 6 bucks which is a tad more expensive than regular Murray’s
How's the hold?
Mix Murrays superior with tres flores brillantine oil both together, it makes it way easier to "dilute" the thickness. use as much oil as needed for desired pomade thickness. Makes it easier to rub against the hair, I have thin hair which this method yanks out very minimal hair out for me, and its way easier to comb. (depends on your hair thinness but trial and error) and gives shine. Hope it helps.
Can you use any type of hair oil? Or does it have to be tres Flores? Because I have thin hair as well and it's quite hard for me to put it along in my hair
@@poopy-butt17 you can try vitalis hair tonic. Another product from the 30s and 40s.
@@modernvintagelifestyles DO you still apply vitalis with wet hair first?
@@jay8187 I don't use vitalis.
You can also try a lighter oil-based pomade: Pan Drwal Greasy Wax Pomade, Prospector's Crude Oil, Sweet Georgia Brown Red, Suavecito Oil-Based etc. These are all less ticky but still do the job perfectly.
yeah thanks! Ima try and spray water everytime before I put product from now on. I did bought a water sprayer a few days ago what a coincidence.
@Modern Vintage Lifestyles Drop a tutorial of this specific hairstyle it looks excellent.
I blend the superior with the super light.
Here's a lifehack: Use a blowdryer to melt it. BOOM! That easy.
Is there any other way to melt it?
@@franciscoconchas5686 some of my friends run it under hot water in their hands.
I’ve just completely stopped using any product in my hair , balding doesn’t run in my family but still I don’t want to risk losing my hair 😂 also I wash my hair every 3 or 4 days, ofc I rinse/clean my hair every day in the shower 🚿, my hair rn looks and feels so healthy
what are the length measurements of your haircut? looks great!
Thank you. I just ask for a low taper and a little off the top. The key is to have the top kinda long and the sides short, just like elvis.
@@modernvintagelifestyles thank you! got some murrays just today for the first time in years after watching your vids all week!!
Mix it with a dab of blue magic. I've been using it since the 90s
Can you use this method on other Murray’s products like Nu Nile or Superior Vintage?
I have not tried those products. If they are not water based, it should work.
Just melt it and it goes in like butter
Very true
How do you melt it ?
@@jaysanchez5198 the refrigerator dumbass
@@jaysanchez5198 you can melt it by blow drying with hot air it while its in the can
@@jaysanchez5198I put tiny amount on finger and rub between two fingers and thumb then run fingers over top of hair , repeat until it's enough. Also unless you're a coal miner don't use shampoo just scrub scalp under shower.
Where do you get you retro shirts from?
Vintage stores, flea markets, ebay, and sometimes etsy.
I get pendletons from swap meets
Believe in Jesus Christ and the blood he shed for you and be saved from hell before it’s eternally too late if you haven’t already. May God bless
