Firstly. OMG! Never heard of those bugs either ( I live in Perth WA) I hope it doesn’t flare up too often. Secondly, love the painting and enjoyed seeing how you put the figure in by taking photos of yourself ❤ Thirdly, yes please to a tutorial on how to edit in procreate. I’m completely computer un savvy but have been considering getting procreate to see what I can do with my own paintings.

OMIGOSH you Aussies and your wild bugs & spiders! I’m sorry you got bitten-so strange that it comes back at random times. I wonder if you were to take a Benadryl (I think you can take 2) to rest more at night. It’ll calm down the bite/swelling and make you drowsy. Don’t know if you have Benadryl down there. I hope by now it is gone! Wonderful drawing-loved seeing your planning & photography phases leading up to the artwork. THANKS HEAPS!

I don’t personally find the twilight saga remotely eerie or unsettling in the aesthetics, but i adore the painting and the fact it inspired this painting means i will give the saga some credit lol. Eerie, unsettling, haunting, dark art, especially captured in a landscape is the best type of art for me. Great video

I’m not sure what kind of eraser you’re using at this point in the video, but I stopped using kneaded erasers on WC paper and now use only the white Staedtler Mars plastic erasers. I use Arches cold press. Now, my Dad, 88, swears by the pink Pearl eraser, but I find it leaves a wee bit of pink on the paper.

Lovely video! ❤ I, too, love inking (since the 1970s when my Dad gave me a set of Rapidograph pens) and water coloring in the lines. Every once in a while I do a painting with no ink and I miss the process cass of the inking a much! I figure it’s good for me once in a while to show myself I can do it. Also I have a little orange tabby who looks SOOO much like yours. Her name is Sonsie. Hope you’re having a good year. Happy to have found your channel.

i gasped when i saw the painting on instagram today!! i've been weirdly into the lady of shallott lately (just purchased a perfume inspired by her and have been listening to the loreena mckennitt song lol) so seeing this felt very auspicious lol. i need to buy the print on my next paycheck!! 💕

I’ve watched several of your videos now- your figures and compositions are exceptional. Thank you for sharing your ideas. RE: the paper stretching, I have tried doing this and been pretty miserable with it. but I’ve been getting the paper very wet-dunking in a bathtub for 2-3 minutes, removing, and then taping down. With a large piece of paper, it’s miserable. But I did not use the tape you did, so Im going to try it your way-just sponging generously and then using the water-activated tape. I’ll keep you posted!

One of my favorite poems and the subject of many paintings. Your reading and watercolor combined are so exquisite. I love the water moving and creating a ring of motion around the small boat. The use of desaturated colors forming this circle, almost a halo of muted colors, underscores the haunted and romantic tragedy of the Lady’s inevitable demise. One suggestion…a longer pause at the end so that I can REALLY SEE your finished work as your paintings deserve time to be appreciated, not only for your skill but for the beauty of the finished work. Thank you so very much. I look forward to seeing and listening to your next subject. Wonderful to enjoy this first thing in the morning.
