I'm just a regular guy who decided to start a youtube channel, mainly because I needed a new hobby!! On my channel you could see a video about virtually anything, from fun with my family, stupid short films, to reviews of almost any tech item, and anything in between. I love playing with new tech items, but I'm no expert so maybe we can learn together!!

So is that the mark ii version? The mark ii of the 16-35 and 70-200 are worth every penny over the mark i versions! I would imagine that’s the case for this lens as well.
yes mark ii version...I never had the mark 1, but the mark 2 is awesome
I knew you’d love the Sony! It does balance incredibly well for a “bigger” lens on the A7C body. If I’m going somewhere and am not 100% sure what focal lengths I’ll need, I grab this lens. It truly is the equivalent to a bag of primes.
Yes, it's hard to gauge the size and weight until you actually put it on your camera and take it for a test spin. Unfortunately being from a small town I have to order everything I "test". The minute I put in on my camera I knew!
I just found you by chance when I was checking my video lol. You are amazing. Understanding the food noise is crazy isn’t it? People who don’t suffer like us don’t get it. Love your video, will be watching for sure
Thanks for watching!...Food noise is so hard to put into words and TBH I didn't know it was a thing until I started taking this medication
@@hasenmyer I don’t think any of us did. You’re doing great.
@@sherilsun Thanks! I've kinda hit a "stall" the last month or so...it's been tough but I'm working my rear off to get through it
Haha, I did the same thing - too tense, snapped the needle off the syringe - $90 in the bin!! Bro, I think you're trying too hard - stress & exercise raise cortisol levels - not good for weight loss! 2 weeks ago I blew my MCL in my knee (crashed my skateboard) no more 5 mile hikes with 30lb weighted vest or surfing/skating just limited upper body weight training - I lost more weight doing a lot less!! Perhaps your holiday will do something similar! :)
This happens more often than you’d think. 😭 The way I avoid it: I always make sure to ‘inspect the needle’ before a shot to see if it’s bent. It never is… but to inspect the needle, you gotta take cap off. 💡
That a good tip!....THANKS!
I guess with my ZVE1, i don’t think this Sigma will fit me. As i’m a video shooter i better lean on 24-50mm Sony lens. Been thinking lately to get that lens and traded my PZ16-35mm f4. But i’m still holding my thought as the crop factor when you use Dynamic active stab. The ultra wide really helps me to get wider field of view when youa are walking and using Dynamic active. Plus this PZ lens is zooming internally. Really appreciate this feature.
If you lean on dynamic active I would stick with the widest angle lens you can get, even 24 would probably be too tight if you are turning the camera onto yourself. Sigma would be great for getting closer more detailed shots, but the sigma would not be a one lens solution
@@hasenmyer thank you for the tips
The only thing that exists for me is the original trilogy . . . before GL updates them with the digital changes.

Hi Adam! Can the 25L or 30L fit a thick laptop in an EVA case? Mine is an ASUS TUF 15.6 gaming laptop at 3cm Thickness that I put in an EVA case for additional protection with 4.5cm thickness when the laptop is inside. Im just curious because most of my camera bags will fit my laptop but with the hardshell eva case then it wont fit anymore. Im a casual gamer and have mirrorless camera gears and a small drone when I travel. Laptop EVA case with Laptop inside Dimensions are: Length 28cm x Width 4.5cm x Height 49cm. Hope you can answer. Thank you!
Not sure about the 25 but the back panel is fairly spacious for a laptop on the 30. I can easily fit my 15 MacBook Air in there with plenty of width to spare. I don’t want to say for certain..maybe Shimoda would have some good info on their website
@@hasenmyer Hi Andrew. Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate it. I might buy the back in a few days to test it out. I might return it though if doesn't fit my needs. Seems like a cool looking backpack. I have the Lowepro protactic bp 450 aw ii but it's too bulky for me and there is no 50/50 separation. I prefer to use the upper compartment for my personal stuff.
@@sanghuloom6943 yes I had the 450aw and the main reason I don’t use it anymore is because the lack of alternative storage..may check out a wandrd or the element both with roll top designs I have reviews of both on my channel, unfortunately I don’t know much about different windows computers as I primarily use MAC
your video looks a little bit dark. but i like the dilemma of yours. i myself don't have the answer. i had 20-70mm and traded them for PZ 16-35 f4. i love that lens. Yes a 2.8 is a good option, but it is just too heavy for my ZVE1 to carry around plus its price. Sony did come out a 16-25 and 24-50, both at f2.8. Could be a great combo for you. But not for me due to its price. i could get a GMII lens of 24-70mm for that price. Anyway, for longer focal length i just bought a Meike 85mm f1.8.
yeah the overhead lights were supposed to off and I tried to "fix" it in post but failed...better try next time I guess. Still not sure what lens to get though, I wish I could be a "prime" person, I've tried but its just not me.
If you are planning to shoot hybrid, you should stick with Sony lenses. The stabilization in video just does not work nearly as well with 3rd party lenses. Here's a wild idea - since I'm assuming this will be used primarily on your A7CR, what about the APS-C 16-55? It's a PHENOMENAL lens on that camera. I use it all the time on my A7RV and get great results. The only thing I can't do is shoot cropped 4K/60p (have to crop in post to get rid of slight vignette). If you MUST have FF, then the only real choice is the 24-70 GMii. In spite of all the gear I have, it is still my most used lens out of all of them - it's just sooooo good. Steer clear of the 24-50 BTW - I tried it out and the distortion and vignette were the worst I've ever seen. And LR still does not have a profile correction, which speaks volumes to how challenging it is to correct...
I thought about the 16-55, is still a consideration but I"m trying to resist the temptation to convert solely to APSC, that may push me over the edge. Thanks for the info on 24-50 was really considering it, but its too much overlap on the 16-35 I think. Probably gm MKII is the way to go, complete the trinity, never been disappointed with a Sony lens except at the time of payment.
I’m a Sony fanboy so I’d spring for the Sony 24-70 f/2.8 GM ii.
go big or go home!!!!
I agree about the roll top. It just creates so much friction getting in and out of the top of the bag. They need to put a Fidlock on there instead of that giant G hook, and use magnets instead of Velcro (Velcro is loud and obnoxious and wears down over time). I’ve used the Boundary Supply Errant for 5+ years now and no other bag has done top access better. Magnetic clips that make it so easy to open and close the flap, and a zipper to for additional security if you need it. The handles could be a bit shorter. Also agree it needs a brighter interior. No dedicated pen loop/pocket. The big front pocket never made much sense to me either. But it’s one of the most comfortable backpacks I’ve ever tried and it looks great. If you can make it work for you, it’s worth it (especially at the Summer sale prices they just had).
I was so excited for this bag as it checked almost all the boxes for me, and immediately backed the Kickstarter. I really felt like this was the one. But then it arrived and I was so disappointed to find out that it was too narrow. In the 25L, I could not fit my iPad Pro 12.9 with Magic Keyboard in the rear sleeve. The front sleeve is a little better but I’m not comfortable putting my device on the side that’s going to be on the floor with all that weight on top of it.
It’s so hard to find a good backpack because everyone has individual needs. Maybe try a wandrd, I keep going back to it
It works just fine. Even with the flat pencil
@@hasenmyer I keep going back to Boundary Supply’s Errant X-PAC. I did like the Prvke 21 (quite comfortable and stylish), but I hate rolltop bags. Just too much friction to get in and out of the top compartment.
@@HugWalks No it doesn’t. Not the 12.9 with Magic Keyboard and Pencil.
Hang in there friend. Life is a journey with plenty of ups and downs. If every day was perfect, we wouldn't be appreciating life's highs. I retired a year ago, and one of the reasons was to take better care of myself. Like you, I had been struggling with weight and related health issues; e.g., bad back, high blood pressure, achy joints, poor mobility, etc. No amount of exercise seemed to work. After a few years of research, I decided to eliminate sugar, carbohydrates (rice, bread, pasta) and processed (junk) foods from my diet. In its place, I ate more meat, fish and plenty of vegetables. Within 18 months, I lost 17% of my weight, and that was with minimal exercise! All of the aches and pains disappeared, and I could run and play with my dogs again. It was a revelation. I now feel 30 years younger. Anyway, I thought I'd share with you my own journey to better health.
Thanks for the thoughtful response. I think I was just a little burned out, back on track now…hopefully
Thanks for the detailed review. I also felt too much of the bag capacity was wasted on the camera cube, sacrificing space up top for bulky things like jackets, snacks, accessories, etc. The point of these "daypack" style camera bags is to balance the space for more than camera gear. Otherwise, I would just take a regular camera backpack and use available space inside for smaller non-camera items. I think Tenba did a better job of balancing the space with its Fulton V2 series of bags.
Thanks for watching! Yes those Tenba bags look really nice. Also, I got a Shimoda small mirrorless camera cube to use instead of the standard and that seems to work better for me. I have a video about it if you want to watch.
It’s never-ending! Hope it keeps working for you.
FACTS!
For the constipation I started putting a teaspoon of Miralax in my coffee. But I am on the lowest 2.5 and only on it for 2 weeks. You are making great progress. Do not lose hope. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate it! I don’t get many side effects anymore I think my body has adjusted. At first I was just taking Metamucil pills every day
Also I hope you have good success in your WLJ, it’s tough but so worth it
Guess you’ll end to buy camera gear
Couple of things . . . first, remember, you're not just "losing weight" . . . you're gaining muscle . . . which is heavier than fat, so you may not lose weight according to the scale but you're still making positive progress! Second, it isn't how much weight you're using in the gym . . . remember, you're trying to get into good shape, not win a powerlifting competition . . . so it's more beneficial to move 5 pounds 100 times than it is to move 100 pounds 5 times. Every little bit helps and is always better than doing absolutely nothing. And of course, you must allow your body to rest! And that includes mentally! So, take as many breaks as feels right. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I'm for sure not trying to impress anyone in the gym, I'm WAY to old for that, I mentioned that I used light weights b/c I hadn't lifted in awhile and more importantly I need to protect the gains I've made with my back pain at all costs. I hope you are doing well, haven't heard from you in awhile.
@@hasenmyer Sadly, day job has taken all of my time lately. What little time I have available I have been working on my truck trying to get it to where I want it to be. Almost done with that. Otherwise, crappy weather has kept me from shooting any content . . . hence, no videos.
Love what you shared my friend. This was a practical and real review. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
This is a beautiful image at the start (talking head), love the framing, look, backlight. So Good.
Thanks!
Nice discussion. I have been thinking about some similar stuff lately which had me move towards micro 4/3 cameras. Lenses are still really compact even if the bodies are getting bigger and they never skimp on features. Just a thought, cheers.
Glad you got the FX30! I sold my FX3 this week because I've been getting real about how I like to shoot. For video, I'm team APS-C - smaller, lighter, less expensive and with the right lenses, NO ONE can tell the difference. For stills, I def prefer FF, but again smaller, lighter options - Q2, A7Cii, etc. I considered G9ii as well, but like you quickly realized, it's a significant expense to now outfit it with all the lenses for that mount and it's not worth it. The GH7 does look sick tho!!
Heck yeah fx30 is a good one. I went into a 5 minute explanation as to why I didn’t get the fx3 but left it out of the video, in the end I just don’t do enough video to justify the expense. I wish Panasonic would come out with a smaller travel size M 4/3 camera that did about 1/2 to 3/4 what g92 does. I think that would pull me back into M 4/3. I think one day they will and yes the GH7 looks crazy good
The LG 39" OLED WQHD 240hz.. with HDR400.. you won't get those refresh rates with 4k..although maybe in a couple years. My Dell u3815DW won't die.. my eyes are set on the Dell u4025QW - WUHD 5120x2160 120Hz.. varies in price from 1799 to 1999.
LG ultraGear OLED 39” ..iDK much about monitors. It doesn’t seem be super crisp image for photo editing but will probably be good for gaming..can we not have both??LOL my main issue is that it’s WAY too big for my area..maybe I’ll keep it though loving the curved display
Your story is so inspirational. Today is my first day of zepbound. I pray I can do it. Stay humble and kind.
Thanks so much..you’re going to do great!
Yeah, full frame sony is pretty compact, and my pinky is hanging, it's frustrating. A friend lent me and I don't like it (at least without modifications)
Always have extended grip with Sony even on my a7R5
Hey, you want to sell it?
think I'll keep it for now. Thanks though!
Good to hear. Sounds like you’re on the road to recovery A 6700 looks good man. Stab is working well in the car
Yeah 6700 is a good one, don't know why I don't use it more
Good video, the honesty of what we ALL feel sometimes when we are in a rut. I get these feelings as well at times. Feeling stuck.. Like a hamster on a wheel.. People need to hear they are not alone and others have to fight their way through this as well. I found for me I had to write down a few goals on a whiteboard so I can see that there is something to strive towards and you can see small wins and that you are going somewhere instead of anywhere. God bless man, I pray you have a great day tomorrow! Gods mercies renew every morning!😊😊👍👍
I appreciate it.
I’m thinking of getting this pack and your review is super helpful, thank you. On storage, have you tried the small DSLR core unit? I think it would suit the side access better because its opening is only the size of the camera so less wasted space. If you only use one or two, that would free up more space in the back for clothes etc. That’s what I’m tempted to do but I only have a one camera one lens set up so I don’t need much space and prefer to have room for layers, food etc when hiking.
I have looked at other cubes to put in the bag, but they were not in supply when I checked a few months ago, maybe they are in stock now. I don't think any other cube would work with side access because the flaps of the cube and the flaps on the pack must match to make that work. I would like to try a smaller cube to reduce the amount of camera gear storage and increase "daily" carry storage.
Your back hurts more after the adjustment because you’ve been realigned and now the muscles/ligaments/tendons have to adjust to being back where they belong. Keep stretching and drink more water.
Thanks going back tomorrow for follow up. I figured it would be more of a long term process, hopefully will be back soon
This video did not suck. Thank you for sharing your feelings and your story. I am a mental health professional and felt the need to comment (I watch all of your videos, but rarely ever comment on youtube). It's ok to have bad days, weeks even, but you know yourself and if it goes beyond that, please discuss with your doctor. You have been very busy with all kinds of stuff and responsibilities, you are dealing with chronic back pain and have not been engaging in your usual self care. It is normal that your mood is affected. Hopefully you will get some relief with your back soon (I must admit, chiropractors freak me out and I have been warned not to go with my back problems). As for weight loss, it is completely normal to fluctuate sometimes, and learning more about this has been very helpful for me as a gain or stall would normally destroy my motivation. If you are feeling aimless with this journey, I would recommend reaching out to a registered dietician that works with weight loss medication. You are an inspiration and a real joy to watch every week, no matter what the scale says. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I think I'm just a little burned out, that all. Things will get better. Hopefully I can get back to playing golf soon, I really miss it. As far as my WLJ I think setting a goal for a month from now may help keep me focused...Hopefully. Stalling is definitely part of it an WLJ.
The side access really suck, even for my explorer v2, why it cannot be bigger?
I think it may be a design challenge. If you really need a HUGE side access look at the Compagnon element backpack, you can drive a truck through the side access. I have a review on it
We all need some fun in our lives, something to look forward to, a task or hobby to improve at - a bit of banter, a few laughs & chronic pain steals that from us - I truly sympathise! No one is upbeat & positive all of the time - we get stuck in the doldrums, caught up in a private hell of our own making & my way out of it is to leave positive comments on as many YT videos as I can, especially tiny channels like ours, not to get a response especially, but just to imagine that perhaps one person will wake up, read my comment & smile, be encouraged or just feel that tiny bit better about themselves or their situation!! I'm 69, on MJ 5mg (not going so great) crashed my skateboard yesterday - MCL torn off the bone & Meniscus tear - may heal without surgery but months of physio at the very least but I've done it before & I can do it again! PS just go to the beach - no one is watching, no one cares!! Everyone is caught up in their own lives - you are invisible to them! :)PPS love your editing & compositions - very classy & I may very well copy!
OH YEAH, I"m going to the beach armed with MARGARITAS!

For stills it’s an absolute must to have a viewfinder for me! That contact point is a necessity for getting birds in flight!

How do the ergonomics of the ZVE1 and A7Cii match up with the x-s10?
IMOH Xs10/20 MUCH better
@@hasenmyer Haha that helps curb my G.A.S. somewhat. Have the x-s10, and been really happy with the footage SOOC, but AF still leaves a lil to be desired video-wise, (esp. in low light). Mulling over whether it's better to jump ship, rationale being that the fujifilm "look" can be recreated in post via dehancer etc, but missed autofocus can't be corrected in post. Given that you favour the ergonomics of the fujifilm, how do you think the stabilisation stacks up against the sony full frames? (whether the lack of a deep grip makes that big of a detriment)
@@Rukawasendoh117 There isn't much difference in the stabilization. You really can't go wrong either way, unless AF is really important to you.
i'm 49, and use a ZVE1. i understand your challenges to use a screen only camera. but i also never use a viewfinder. so double challenge for me. I really appreciate what sony has made a small camera to create content. i guess should built a little bigger and bright on camera screen.
Oddly enough my biggest complaint about the zve1 was the zoom rocker..I kept hitting it on accident. Other than that a solid camera. I eventually sold it to get my a7cR
Thank you! This is a severely crippled camera and sets a dangerous precedent if we let manufacturers pass off this garbage unto consumers under the guise of "everyday camera" or "travel camera"

I get what you're trying to say but I can't agree.
The internet is a big place. I respect you don’t agree
You’re doing a great job and you’ve come so far. The planning and travel meals will take some getting used to, but you can take time and prepare some go to meals for when you don’t have a lot of time. There could be some meal prepping that’s needed or finding a service that offers some healthier options. There are also some restaurants or even fast food places with some healthier options. Your doing the hard work 80% of the time, the 20% of having to grab something less than ideal is not the end of the world. Keep on striving.
I appreciate it!
Good job! Stay safe in this those storms!
Thanks! Storm season is just about over thankfully, been a real active season
You are doing great with this. You definitely have helped me in my journey with zepbound. I look forward to your updates. While I am behind you in the time I have been taking zepbound, I go back to your videos to compare what I am experiencing. What I like most about you is that you are REAL. We are all going to go through our trials and tribulations which of course we internalize. But you sharing your experiences, good and what you perceive to be bad, help people better understand that its a journey where we will feel great at times and not so great at other times, and that helps a lot. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad I can be of some help. Hopefully your personal WLJ is going well!
the most amusing with these comments is that these guys will never ever even invent a thing but can complain about BS, just for some likes.
True, I will probably never invent my own backpack, but I think videos pointing out certain flaws helps people in their buying decisions and helps companies improve on future design. I think it's a great backpack overall.
Every single one of your gripes are the same ones that I have. That front pocket is pretty much useless, too deep and too flat to be taken seriously. The top compartment is too small (i bought the 20 liter). The side access is only good for a small mirrorless, I tried it with a Canon 80D and I couldn't get it out. The rain cover storage is in the worst possible place, if it is already raining you'll have to expose your gear to the rain just to get it out and storing it out of the camera area it then eats up some of the precious storage space that is needed for your bits and pieces. The bag is comfortable and it'll carry your gear but in general I consider it a fail.
Fair concerns!
I just started zepbound 5mg this week. I appreciate you sharing your journey. Not gonna lie there isn’t enough male zepbound content out there. Keep kicking ass man!
I appreciate it!
