      Yes, everything was set up with webflow ecommerce. We created special products in webflow just for that landing page to purchase. We were able to get everything we needed for the delivery. In another video I’m building a custom ordering back end for this same project using wized. It is for picking up online coffee orders in store and customizing drinks. I really liked your tutorial. But I have a question regarding the topic. Is there a way to connect to different text Elements together and get the output from Airtable? In my example I have one Drop down field with maybe 15 Drop down text items. under the drop down field is another field which is empty in the beginning but then should output Data related to the Input choosen in the Drop down item. So if I Choose "Flightbooking" in the Drop down field in the second field the conneted item should automatically Appear like "I want you to book a non stop flight for me". Is it possible to output such information trough the connetion of Airtable and Webflow? Is Zapier also needed for this process? Thx

    • @gammadesignco4102
      @gammadesignco4102 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So if you’re pulling data from airtable, this starts to get more advanced. Logic will take site data and send it out. It will not call data in. For that, you’d need to have your own script (or something like wized) to set up this process. You’d need to fetch the data from airtable with the script, then replace the html text with the data you fetched. Then you’d need to build logic into that. You’d have to set up your form to mimic what you database has if those options don’t change. If it’s static, a tool like formly can combine to create logic paths and you can use Webflows Logic to do your post calls. It does required more work, but it is doable.

      Good questions! You’re right I didn’t explain that. A webhook is an address for a serve that catches some information you send to it. Usually you’ll have to have another service that can do something with that information. In this example, airtable provides that address. I've been using Relume almost every day for about a year now. Very happy with it and it has saved me countless hours. Good product. I don't see much need to have multiple component libraries, but I'm always interested in what's out there.

      I agree, one good one should be all you need!

      @@gammadesignco4102 Especially if they are build on a different framework. Fortunately, Client-First seems to have been adopted widely by the development and component library community. Took me a while to latch onto it, but now that I'm using it regularly, I like it (for the most part)

    Thanks so much for this video! Very informative. Please, have you finally made a video on formly logic? I've patiently read all the comments and replies and I hope you'd have done it as at this time I'm making my comment. Thanks in advance. It'll greatly help]

    What about Airtable to Webflow?

    • @gammadesignco4102

      Going from airtable to webflow is much more complex. It needs something like whalesync or nobull from Finsweet. If not, it takes some custom code or use of make or zapier unfortunately.

    Hi, thanks for posting this. Am I correct in thinking Client First is really just a CSS Bootstrap approach for Webflow? It's nice to have the style library loaded but the whole naming of classes thing is pretty standard; anybody familiar with writing code would be doing this in Webflow anyway, wouldn't they? I am aware that designers with no code background don't name elements or use classes (from my experience with some), they just drop in new elements and use whatever names given by Webflow, so for them I can see how this would be valuable. What other reasons are there for using Client First?

      Probably yes. If you’re already skilled at css and naming, it might not be new to you. If you’re newer, webflow might be teaching you how to understand code in which this would help. The benefits here are also using the tools they have built in with their folder structure and Finsweet chrome extension that help your workflow and organization. Really it’s a philosophy to work!

      @@gammadesignco4102 Thanks for that. I'll find out more about their folder structure! Cheers.

    My question about all of these component libraries is...if I cancel my monthly subscription plan during a period when I have no site development projects happening, will the components that I used be de-activated? I don't use Webflow hosting - I always export code and use it on my own host.

    • @gammadesignco4102

      No sir they will not! I stopped my grid up subscription for now and I still have the components where I used them!

      I would agree. The membership gives you the cut and paste functionality (and the very handy chrome plugins)... But once the components are in your site, they are free and clear.
