Awesome to see the market buzzing after Jon Jones' win and generating more action on his cards. The fact that you can get a first auto or rookie card for those numbers is pretty crazy in relation to other sports.

I figured when i did my last vidro that it would be covered in jmJon Jones and it def was. Jones cards are killing it i see. Lol His RC auto is always being sold to I've noticed.

I sold a high value Jones card before this fight bc I thought he would retire. The Jones card went 3x. Jones does not sign anymore so his cards have the potential to go up a lot. The problem for most fighters is that they sign WAY TOO MUCH!

A big problem is that FB groups normally do not let someone advertise someones TH-cam Channel. In the European UFC Card Collectors group we allow it. There is too much competition opposed to cooperation to grow Channels or Groups. That’s why I love to see you guys collaborate! Great video!

You cant compare the two brotha! FB gives people the option to participate in their medium. The interest in the FB group likely stems from ppl showing off their stuff, and/or looking to sell/trade. I love the YT content!!! Shout out to J$ Do Bronx!!!!

I think Jon beats Aspinall in July and finishes his career in December 2025 super fight against Pereira. Jones fighting twice in a year is rare but the fights money and legacy are lined up now

A big or even decent johnny bones card has always eluded me. Lol and for awhile I allowed emotion to sway me buying him over logic cause he whooped one of my main PC lionheart. So I was mad at him😂. He is being very smart and strategic about his next fight and as much as I want to see him fight aspinall, he doesn't need to, and can retire and still be the 🐐.

I fully understand what your saying. I don't use social media much, so you guys are my UFC community. I love the content, the conversations. The UFC card community is small, and unfortunately I witnessed a odd turn in it about 6 months ago, I was very active and supportive on whatnot built a lot of good relationships and had a lot of fun, but then a lot of negativity started creeping in and the bond in the community wavered. Hopefully it's a pendulum thing and it swings back and the community grows again and we can bring more fans to the amazing content you and the other streamers put out. I appreciate you guys!!

I still think there is room for a channel like junkwax investor or 10 club cards where you do a rapid fire top 25 sold cards of the month. That type of thing. But that takes more time and more research. It would be cool for new hobbyists though.

UFC content is strong on TH-cam, but the big channels are intertwined with political and cultural opinion. Card collecting in general is a very tough sub section on TH-cam. For example Cajun Cardboard, who primarily does Michael Jordan card content, and posts a video probably every day, has taken forever to get a few thousand subs. And Michael Jordan card is probably the biggest and most lucrative sports card that exists.

Really enjoy watching these videos guys. The segments up the production so much and make it feel like a show I’d watch on ESPN 🔥 Amazing insert choices! It’s extremely hard for me to narrow down something like that 😅 Question for next collab (hope it hasn’t been asked): If you could only keep one card from your current pc, which card would it be and why?

i guess i throw some facts out there. - A lot of acounts are bots and scammers - A lot of ppl in the hobby are there for flipping and/or gambling so no interest in deeper content - Packs getting opened everywhere. Whatnot/FB/IG so its just oversaturated - Building sth from ground up is the hardest so keep going <3 (we from the EU group know that xD and thx for the shoutout to Rick, he the man!)

There’s a lot to unpack here and so many variables but I get your frustration. A work/reward balance is crucial to development. I don’t want to sound like an a-hole so I’ll try to keep my opinion focused and constructive (hard for me to do). Personally, I like the investing and prospecting convos. I couldn't care less about the steady rips. I think some of these guys should reach out to more experienced, longtime collectors to diversify the conversations and perspectives. There are loads of them on the socials and I don’t see many of them getting shine from the creators who are asking the same from them. Community is a two-way street. Communities need voices not kings. I enjoy your channel and Luke’s! Keep up the good work boys.

I think Whatnot and more specifically, the breakers make a lot of UFC card content irrelevant. By the time most TH-cam channels have received their product, made a video and uploaded it... so many cases have already been cracked, that people aren't that excited for a box or two being opened. They've already made up their minds and don't "need" other opinions on the product. Also, so many people spend so much time on Whatnot... they don't have enough time to ALSO watch TH-cam. Whatnot kills the finer elements of the hobby... hence why we have never been involved. There is also a direct correlation to the amount of support that YOU show other collectors and the amount of support YOU receive. For example... UFC Card Fiend, Box Alarm Trading, Matt and Joe (not recently 🤪) like our Instagram posts. (Liking IG posts takes a FRACTION of the time that watching a video does.) You for example, even though we have liked your videos, shared your videos, commented on your videos, sent you a PC banger (something we love to do for anyone, not just for shine)... you haven't liked what we have done on Instagram in quite some time. And in the time it took for us to watch this video... you could have liked EVERY ONE of our posts. So you tell people off for not supporting the card community on TH-cam... when you fail to support positive members of the card community yourself. I think this video has some merit... food for thought. But the tone is hardly going to achieve your desired ends. Smacks of bitterness... almost like you need a reward for your time. Got to do it out of love for doing it and the followers will eventually see the passion and support you. Or, like us, don't care about the numbers and do it to leave a positive record, like we do for our children. * side note: we also lost track of you for awhile after your name change. Took a while for us to realize this was you!

I blame Mayce Collectibles!! haha J/K I was afraid this is what this was going to be about. :) If I was as good as you big dogs at communicating I’d do a VR (video response) but we all know I ramble and spiral and forget my way in videos haha I have been uploading videos (NOT creating content) for over 10 years and have over 500 videos. I think my average views is 50-60 per. Unless you are the Sports Card Investor of the YT MMA Card Community (IMHO) you CANNOT expect more from anything in return for the “content” being created and shared on YT. I was hoping and I am still holding out hope that Matt was not spending all that money & time to try and build a ROI YT channel or brand. Again, unless you’re the SCI of the YT MMA Card Community this is for entertainment and personal hobby/enjoyment purposes only and mostly for me it’s to share my collection in a better way than I feel comfortable with on Instagram, TT or X. I LOVE THE YT COMMUNITY INTERACTION & CONNECTIONS/RELATIONSHIPS more than any other social media platforms. There are WAAAAAAY too members in the FB groups to form good connections. Thankfully over the years I’ve been a part of some smaller (previous) website groups and since FB groups started a small, private “TTM MMA” group that has forged some of my best hobby connections and friends. YES, the only thing I wish was different for me was more action/discussions in the comments of my videos (NOT views). So, to end this long comment, I would say it’s wildly unrealistic to expect much from the YT “content” and brand growth motive when it comes to the YT MMA Card Community channels. If that is the goal, people will need to major on drama, rants, giveaways, manufactured content, big guest appearances like UFC fighters, industry leaders, etc and even some sponsorships!

I follow almost all the channels you mentioned. I get most excited when Cloudsey drops a new video. I miss joes card stash videos. I like DK’s autos. I just don’t think sharing these guys with my 30 followers is gonna help. I try to like and comment but I’m just one guy.

I have 155 videos LOLLLLLLL Hahahaha DUDE I HAD NO IDEA. i have always maintained we do not need youtube, but at the time i started ripping i needed a place that wasnt whatnot to document my hits where fighters names wouldnt be mispronounced. And where i could talk mad shit about the latest hype train. I have never cared about growth or people tuning in but thank you for the shoutout. I think the bulk of the viewership is tuning in on whatnot because its qfc home shopping network for zoomers, mixed with lootbox gambling. I think podcasting is a way better medium for my boomer ass demographic but cards need the visual. And dude. Big shoutout to you and all these donks mentioned, everybody is awesome and its fun to do.

I'm an admin on Faygoluvers Facebook & TH-cam. We have over 150K followers on Facebook and only 17K subscribers on TH-cam. So I'm not sure this is a problem exclusive to ufc card content.

This video raises some excellent questions the community should really consider. As someone new to the space, I’ve watched a lot of these UFC card content creators, and I was shocked to see the subscriber counts. Many of these creators are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about UFC and collecting, yet the audience size doesn’t seem to match their talent. I get that it’s a niche within a niche-the sports card community is already small, and the UFC card community is even smaller. This is reflected in the limited exposure of the hobby. For instance, I’ve been a die-hard MMA fan for years, but I only recently got into collecting MMA cards after reconnecting with the hobby as an adult. It’s wild to think about how under-promoted this part of the UFC world has been. Speaking of creators, I’m blown away by Box Alarm Trading. Hands down, he has some of the best content in the space-his editing, breadth of categories, and knowledge are top-notch. Seeing his subscriber count compared to his quality was honestly demoralizing, especially since I’ve just started my own channel. It made me wonder, “Why am I even doing this?” But then I remind myself, this space is still growing. UFC cards have only been around for about 15 years, and there’s so much room for growth and awareness. Creating videos has also given me a whole new appreciation for the work that goes into them. It’s a ton of effort, and sometimes it feels like people don’t realize that even giving a simple thumbs-up can make a difference. Liking a video costs nothing, yet it supports creators so much. Personally, if I find value in a video-whether it’s entertaining, informative, or even just helpful for one specific thing-I always hit the like button. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way for the creator.

Preach Damian!!! I’ve honestly wondered about this a lot. Do all the people on those Facebook pages and the UFC card Whatnot streams not watch TH-cam videos??? I’ve also noticed that a lot of the UFC card collectors I’ve talked to at card shows have no idea that there are TH-cam videos about UFC cards. There’s gotta be a way to get these videos in front of more people. Thanks for making this video! Hopefully it helps.

Love your videos and content. Show us your top ten favorite cards in your collection. Pull those cards off the back wall and show them to us. Each card has a story. In fact, a history on your cards and how you found out about that card and why you love it and how you obtained it. Even the frame of the picture has a story to tell. I respect your opinions on cards. I'd love to see you break down each of your favorite cards that you own and why.

Good work. When I was first trying to find UFC card content I was surprised on how few subscribers even the most popular channels had. All of you guys absolutely deserve more viewership. This video is perfect to share since you go over all the top channels.

I know on most of these groups on fb, there are a lot of scam accounts and people who are only interested in flipping for money. But that being said, you're right. The numbers still don't add up.

Question for next collab video. Where/When/How did Leaf get current UFC fighters to sign for them? Was it between Panini & Topps/Fanatics transition? I see these “Military Tactics” LEAF certified auto cards listed on eBay. I thought the fighters were under contract & exclusive to Panini or Topps/Fanatics. Deuces! DK
